Background With the deepening of health care reform in China, primary care and general practice researches have developed rapidly in recent years, and the number of papers published has increased rapidly. Objective Summarize and analyze the scientific research papers published in the field of primary care and general practice in China in 2021, explore the characteristics in the number of papers published, journals published, regions, institutions, research categories, research methods, and the number of authors. Methods Based on the disciplinary definition of the research concepts, themes and methods in this field, combining scoping review methods and bibliometric techniques, scientific research papers published by researchers in Chinese scientific research institutions in 2021 included in the CNKI, Wanfang, PubMed, and Web of Science database were retried, induced and analyzed. In this paper, combined with the scope review method and bibliometric technology, a systematic search and quantitative analysis were carried out on scientific research papers in the fields of primary care and general practice published by researchers in Chinese scientific research institutions in 2021 included in the CNKI, Wanfang, PubMed, and Web of Science databases. Results There are 3 122 original research papers published in the fields of primary care and general practice in China in 2021. The number of papers published by primary care institutions accounted for 57.69%, but most of the papers were completed by a single authoramong such institutions. Papers published by the eastern primary care institutions accounted for 80.12%. The research category is dominated by clinical research (58.23%) and health services researches (27.07%) , the co-occurrence analysis of keywords by VOSviewer shows that the research themes focus on "chronic disease management" and "contracted family doctor services", these papers mostly used randomized controlled trials (40.87%) and cross-sectional survey studies (36.71%) in research methods. The vast majority of papers in primary care and general practice field are published in non-core and non-SCI/SSCI journals (76.75%) , and only 6.98% of papers are published in SCI/SSCI journals. Conclusion The productivity level of primary care and general practice research in China has now reached the highest level in the world, of which the primary care institutions in the eastern region have made major contributions. The research topics in the primary care and general practice field are close to institutional practice and national health policy. However, there are still a series of problems and challenges in this field, such as the lack of cooperation among researchers in primary care institutions, the large number of studies using randomized controlled trial methods may have problems such as quality concerns and low recognition of research in this field in China by international SCI/SSCI journals.

In the study of age estimation in living individuals, a lot of data needs to be analyzed by mathematical statistics, and reasonable medical statistical methods play an important role in data design and analysis. The selection of accurate and appropriate statistical methods is one of the key factors affecting the quality of research results. This paper reviews the principles and applicable principles of the commonly used medical statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, difference analysis, consistency test and multivariate statistical analysis, as well as machine learning methods such as shallow learning and deep learning in the age estimation research of living individuals, and summarizes the relevance and application prospects between medical statistical methods and machine learning methods. This paper aims to provide technical guidance for the age estimation research of living individuals to obtain more scientific and accurate results.

Medical artificial intelligence (AI) applies AI technology to the medical field to meet clinical needs, combines with the experience of doctors, and relies on the computing, analysis and decision-making ability of AI to provide accurate intelligent assistance for clinical diagnosis and treatment. At present, medical AI is based on knowledge guided and data driven approaches, but each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Combining knowledge -guided AI with data- driven AI and utilizing their respective advantages is expected to break through the application bottle neck of medical AI and promote the development and innovation of medical AI. This paper summarizes the application of medical AI driven by knowledge guidance and data mining and looks forward to the future development direction, in order to promote the innovation and application of AI technology in the medical field. As the number of obese and elderly population increases worldwide, sarcopenic obesity is becoming associated with a higher risk of adverse events and outcomes in multiple clinical situations, including cancer. However, there is a lack of unified definition and diagnostic criteria for sarcopenic obesity, and the interaction between sarcopenic obesity and cancer needs to be further clarified. This paper systematically and comprehensively summarizes the relevant definitions and diagnostic methods of sarcopenic obesity, discusses its clinical impact on cancer patients in detail, including the impact on patients undergoing surgery and chemotherapy, and briefly describes the main prevention and treatment strategies. This paper reviews literature and concludes that the incidence of sarcopenic obesity is high in cancer patients, but its definition and diagnostic criteria are still controversial. Sarcopenic obesity is an independent predictor of cancer prognosis with important clinical application value.

Primary liver cancer is one of the common cancers in the world and with extremely high morbidity and mortality. This paper details the current epidemiology of primary liver cancer, population attributable fractions and associated risk factors in China. In this paper, we found that hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus are still the main risk factors for the development of primary liver cancer by searching the databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, and CNKI. With hepatitis B virus vaccination and antiviral treatment, the incidence of primary liver cancer in China has slightly decreased, but the incidence of primary liver cancer caused by metabolic factors such as diabetes, obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is gradually increasing; smoking and alcohol consumption are also important risk factors. This article summarizes the epidemiological characteristics and risk factors of primary liver cancer, which can provide practical evidence-based medicine evidence for the development of preventive and control measures for primary liver cancer.

In recent years， with the continuous progress of DNA extraction and detection technology， cell-free DNA（cfDNA）has been widely used in the life science field， and its potential application value in forensic identification is becoming more and more obvious. This paper reviews the concept， formation mechanism， and classification of cfDNA，etc.， and describes the latest research progress of cfDNA in personal identification of crime scene touch DNA samples and non-invasive prenatal paternity testing （NIPPT）. Meanwhile， this paper summarizes the potential application of cfDNA in injury inference， and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of common cfDNA analysis methods and techniques， and its application prospects， to provide a new idea for the wide application of cfDNA in the field of forensic science.

Biological evidence is relatively common evidence in criminal cases, and it has strong probative power because it carries DNA information for individual identification. At the scene of fire-related cases, the complex thermal environment, the escape of trapped people, the firefighting and rescue operations, and the deliberate destruction of criminal suspects will all affect the biological evidence in the fire scene. Scholars at home and abroad have explored and studied the effectiveness of biological evidence identification in fire scenes, and found that the blood stains, semen stains, bones, etc. are the main biological evidence which can be easily recovered with DNA in fire scenes. In order to analyze the research status and development trend of biological evidence in fire scenes, this paper systematically sorts out the relevant research, mainly including the soot removal technology, appearance method of typical biological evidence, and possibility of identifying other biological evidence. This paper also prospects the next step of research direction, in order to provide reference for the identification of biological evidence and improve the value of biological evidence in fire scenes.

The coronavirus disease 2019 （COVID-19） has been a global epidemic for more than three years, causing more than 6.9 million deaths. COVID-19 has the clinical characteristics of strong infectivity and long incubation period, and can cause multi-system damage, mainly lung damage, clinical symptoms of acute respiratory distress syndrome （ARDS） and systemic multiple organ damage. The SARS-CoV-2 virus is still constantly mutating. At present, there is no global consensus on the pathological changes of COVID-19 associated deaths and even no consensus on the criteria for determining the cause of death. The investigation of the basic pathological changes and progression of the disease is helpful to guide the clinical treatment and the development of therapeutic drugs. This paper reviews the autopsy reports and related literature published worldwide from February 2020 to June 2023, with a clear number of autopsy cases and corresponding pathological changes of vital organs as the inclusion criteria. A total of 1 111 autopsy cases from 65 papers in 18 countries are included. Pathological manifestations and causes of death are classified and statistically analyzed, common pathological changes of COVID-19 are summarized, and analytical conclusions are drawn, suggesting that COVID-19 infection can cause life-threatening pathological changes in vital organs. On the basis of different health levels of infected groups, the direct cause of death is mainly severe lung damage and secondary systemic multiple organ failure.

The liver is the largest metabolic organ in the human body, and impaired liver function can lead to a variety of acute and chronic liver diseases, which can affect the quality of life in mild cases or be life-threatening in severe cases. Therefore, it is important to explore accurate and effective molecular diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets. Mitofusin 2 (Mfn2) is a transmembrane motor protein on the outer membrane of mitochondria, and plays an important role not only in mitochondrial fusion regulation, but also in cell energy metabolism, cell apoptosis, cell proliferation, mitochondrial endoplasmic reticulum (ER) connections, ER stress and mitochondrial autophagy, etc. It has been found that abnormal expression or function loss of Mfn2 can lead to abnormal mitochondrial function, which in turn leads to a variety of liver diseases. In this paper, a systematic review of the structure and function of Mfn2 and its mechanisms of action in liver diseases was conducted and found that Mfn2 can be involved in the development of chronic liver diseases through multiple pathways, and improve liver function through modulating Mfn2 overexpression to further slow down and reverse disease progression. This paper aims to provide a scientific reference for basic research of Mfn2 and liver diseases, as well as its clinical application.

The finite element method （FEM） is a mathematical method for obtaining approximate solutions to a wide variety of engineering problems. With the development of computer technology， it is gradually applied to the study of biomechanics of human body. The application of the combination of FEM and biomechanics in exploring the relationship between vascular injury and disease， and pathological mechanisms will be a technological innovation for traditional forensic medicine. This paper reviews the construction and development of human vascular FEM modeling， and its research progress on the vascular biomechanics. This paper also looks to the application prospects of FEM modeling in forensic pathology.

Antibiotics are one greatest medical discoveries in the 20th century, which are extensively used to treat a variety of pathogenic microbial infections, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) . Although antibiotics have proven to be partially effective in improving clinical symptoms of IBS by clinical practice and several clinical studies, and nonabsorbable rifaximin has been also recommended for treating IBS without diarrhea by relevant guidelines and consensuses, the indications for the use of antibiotics in IBS are not clear, and there are concerns about the adverse effects associated with long-term antibiotic use. Meanwhile, making the balance between adverse effects and clinical benefits is difficult. However, several studies have also found that antibiotic use contributes to the development of IBS. This paper reviews recent studies on the effects of antibiotics on IBS, and summarizes that antibiotics may trigger IBS in several ways, including reducing intestinal microbial diversity, impairing epithelial barrier function and affecting cytokine production. This paper also points out the uncertainty of the indications for antibiotic application in IBS from two aspects, and argues that clinicians should pay attention to the effects of antibiotics on the development of IBS, evaluate the pros and cons of antibiotic treatment for IBS, and use antibiotics rationally and cautiously. The purpose of this article is to provide some reference for explaining the pathogenesis of IBS induced by antibiotic treatment, and for clinical application of antibiotics in IBS.

Kinship testing is widely needed in forensic science practice. This paper reviews the definitions of common concepts, and summarizes the basic principles, advantages and disadvantages, and application scope of kinship analysis methods, including identity by state （IBS） method， likelihood ratio （LR） method， method of moment （MoM）， and identity by descent （IBD） segment method. This paper also discusses the research hotspots of challenging kinship testing, complex kinship testing, forensic genetic genealogy analysis, and non-human biological samples.

Tri-allelic pattern in autosomal STR is a common abnormal typing phenomenon in forensic DNA analysis, which brings difficulties and uncertainties to the evaluation of the evidence weight in actual cases. This paper reviews the types, formation mechanism, occurrence frequency, genetic pattern and quantitative evaluation of evidence of the tri-allelic pattern in autosomal STR in forensic DNA analysis. This paper mainly explains the formation mechanism and genetic patterns based on different types of tri-allelic pattern. This paper also discusses the determination of tri-allelic pattern and the quantitative method of evidence evaluation in paternity testing and individual identification. This paper aims to provide references for scientific and standardized analysis of this abnormal typing phenomenon in forensic DNA analysis.

Biological matrix reference material is a reference material that combines the target material with the biological matrix. The biological matrix reference material has higher consistency with the authentic specimens in forensic toxicology, and its application has a positive effect on improving the accuracy of test results. This paper reviews the research on the matrix reference materials corresponding to three common biological test materials （blood, urine and hair）. In order to provide reference for the development and application of biological matrix reference materials in forensic toxicology, this paper mainly introduces the research progress of preparation technology of biological matrix reference materials and some existing products and their parameters evaluation.

Exercise has been confirmed by most studies to be effective in preventing and treating depression, and has become a recommended treatment by many researchers. However, previous research results on exercise interventions for depression have not been effectively integrated, and there is still a lack of uniform clinical exercise therapy guidelines across countries. In this paper, we systematically and comprehensively discussed the effects of exercise on depression, including the effects of exercise types, intensities, frequencies, and amounts of exercise on the efficacy of depression interventions in different populations, and summarized the neurobiological mechanisms involved in the development of depression as well as the antidepressant effects of exercise by sorting out relevant literature. This paper shows that in exercise interventions for depression, aerobic exercise is the most frequently chosen type of exercise, the intensity of which is usually moderate to high intensity, and the frequency and amount of exercise are recommended at high frequency and dosage. The neurobiological mechanisms of exercise resistance to depression are mainly that exercise can improve the morphological structure of central nervous system tissue, increase the levels of a series of neurotrophic factors, thereby enhancing neuronal plasticity, and improve the function of the neurosecretory system, reducing damage to brain tissue caused by neuroinflammatory responses and oxidative stress. This paper can provide a certain reference for the development and implementation of clinical exercise prescription for depression in China, and draw on the in-depth development of exercise antidepressant research.

Digital therapy makes use of the Internet to assist patients with hypertension in strengthening their understanding of hypertension, encouraging the proper administration of hypertension medication, and improving their ability to manage their own health. This paper aims to provide an overview of the current state of digital therapy application in the medical field, investigate the viability and suitability of these therapies for the treatment of hypertension, and anticipate the advancement of digital therapy-based hypertension management and treatment in the future. Future developments in digital therapy involve bringing together the knowledge of Chinese medicine health management, optimizing the benefits of digitizing both Chinese and western medicine for the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension, forming a professional team for digital therapy, safeguarding patient privacy and data security, and offering patients more convenient, effective, and secure preventive and treatment options.

Heart failure is a cardiovascular disease that poses a serious health risk to the global population and is characterised by a chronic and prolonged disease course. Effective management centered on home care is essential for controlling symptoms and improving patient prognosis. Electronic health (e-health) technology is one of the hotspots in the research field of home management of heart failure, with the advantage of overcoming temporal and spatial barriers, and can achieve continuous monitoring, intelligent assessment, and dynamic management of the health status of patients at home. This paper systematically sorts out the related research on e-health in home management of patients with heart failure, and discusses its application value in drug management, exercise rehabilitation, symptom management, risk profile, and other aspects of patients with heart failure. It also analyzes and prospects the limitations of the e-health system such as poor digital inclusion, imperfect operation system, and risk of data security. The purpose of this study is to provide reference for the innovation of home management model for patients with heart failure.

Metabolic fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is one of the most common chronic liver diseases worldwide, with a prevalence of up to 30% in China, and still rising. The disease is associated with genetic factors, environmental factors and patients' lifestyle habits, and is easily combined with various metabolism-related diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular and cerebral vascular diseases, as well as serious complications such as liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. An increasing number of basic experimental and clinical studies have demonstrated the relevance of oral and gut microbiota to MAFLD, and targeted treatment of oral and gut microbiota may play an important role in the prevention and treatment of MAFLD. In this paper, we summarize the oral and gut microbiota characteristics of MAFLD patients based on the theory of the oral-gut-liver axis and the mechanism of the role of oral and gut microbiota dysbiosis on the development of MAFLD, hoping to provide ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of MAFLD.

Intestinal stem cells are an important part of maintaining the stability of intestinal barrier function, which is closely related to intestinal homeostasis, intestinal epithelial renewal, and repair of intestinal damage. Normal physiological activities of the human body cannot be separated from energy intake and metabolism, and the differentiation fate of stem cells is affected by energy metabolism, and impaired intestinal barrier is associated with the development of many intestinal diseases. Therefore, this paper focuses on intestinal stem cells, takes energy metabolism and metabolites as the background to investigate how energy metabolism and metabolites regulate the function and activity of stem cells, thus regulating the function of intestinal barrier and providing ideas for the treatment of various intestinal diseases; in addition, with the in-depth research of modern medical science in protecting intestinal barrier, the theory of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that cares for spleen and stomach is gradually showing its scientific validity, with the hope of providing ideas for the subsequent research.

Intestinal stem cells are regulated by the intestinal nervous system, and both of them are closely related to intestinal inflammation. Relevant studies have shown the existence of intestinal nerve dysfunction in intestinal inflammation. By summarizing the relationship among intestinal stem cells, intestinal nervous system and intestinal inflammation, this paper discusses that intestinal nervous system injury related to intestinal inflammation may be the basis for persistent alteration of intestinal function, while enteric neurons provide feasible targets for improving intestinal nerve dysfunction in inflammatory bowel diseases, so as to apply various types of stem cells to the improvement of intestinal nerve dysfunction in intestinal inflammation.

Cancer is a major traumatic event that causes serious interference in the pursuit of individual's life goals and leads to a variety of emotional disorders. Rational adjustment of life goals is beneficial to rebuild life direction, improve physical and mental health of patients. This paper reviews the current research of domestic and international studies on cancer affecting patients' pursuit of life goals, and summarizes the advances in the existing literature on the goal-adjustment behaviors of cancer patients and the effects on their physical and mental health by literature review. Literature review shows that the impact of cancer diagnosis on patients' pursuit of life goals is mainly manifested in the impact on self-efficacy, goal pursuit ability and goal prioritization. Reasonable goal-adjustment behaviors can help improve patients' physical and mental health, which includes promoting positive emotions, alleviating negative emotions, reducing physical discomfort, and improving quality of life. Therefore, future psychosocial intervention design for the emotional health of cancer patients can be based on guiding patients to replan and regulate their goals, so as to improve patients' emotional health and disease prognosis.

Falls are the important causes of morbidity and mortality in older adults. Although clinical staff have paid attention to the management of falls, adherence to fall interventions is not satisfactory, resulting in the high incidence of fall. Understanding the older adults' own perception of fall risk from their perspective may be the key to fall prevention, especially active fall prevention. In this paper, we reviewed the concept of fall risk perception, behavioral consequences and influencing factors of fall risk perception in older adults from the perspective of "the first person responsible for health", and found that there are fewer studies on fall risk perception in older adults at home and abroad, the conceptual connotation still needs to be further explored. Subjective perceptions of fall risk in older adults can lead to different patterns of fall risk coping behaviors that influence fall risk. The influencing factors of fall risk perception mainly focus on the emotional psychology, physiological conditions, social culture, and physical environment, with the influencing process through subjective cognition. Empirical studies can be used to further validate the psychological cognitive mechanisms of fall risk perception in conjunction with the risk perception formation process in the future, in order to provide empirical evidence for proactive fall prevention.

Sepsis is characterized by a dysregulation of immune response to infection, leading to life-threatening organ dysfunction. Sepsis-associated liver injury (SALI) is considered an independent risk factor for predicting death in the intensive care unit (ICU). With the increasing number of studies on the gut-liver axis in recent years, the close linkage of gut microbiota and liver diseases has been gradually revealed. Dysbiosis of gut microbiota has been shown to induce SALI through the mitogen-activated protein kinase/nuclear transcription factorκB (MAPK/NF-κB) signaling pathway and damage to the intestinal barrier. Meanwhile, fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) and the application of probiotics have great potential in the treatment of SALI. This paper reviews the relevant research progress in recent years both at home and abroad, in order to provide new insights into the pathogenesis and treatment of SALI.

Traumatic central nervous system injury can cause imbalance in intestinal microenvironmental homeostasis by disrupting intestinal barrier function, while the disturbed intestinal microenvironment can react on the central nervous system and aggravate the secondary injury of it. A large number of studies suggest that the intestinal barrier plays an important role in the pathophysiological process of traumatic central nervous system injury and can be an important target for the action of central nervous system injury. This paper reviews the structural and functional changes of intestinal microbial, chemical, mechanical and immune barriers after traumatic central nervous system injury and their bidirectional interaction with the central nervous system, summarizes the possible mechanisms leading to the disruption of intestinal barrier, including malnutrition, ischemia-reperfusion injury, inflammatory response and the release of neurotransmitters and hormones, to provide theoretical basis and new ideas for the development of research on the intestinal microenvironment after traumatic central nervous injury.

As a common affective mental disorder, depressive disorder has currently become the second health burden worldwide, however, its pathogenesis remains to be further elucidated. The clinical treatment of depressive disorder primarily relies on western medicine. However, there is great clinical need for effective and rapid-onset antidepressants for the unsatisfactory effect, obvious treatment time-lag, and intolerable adverse reactions of current drug treatment. Ferroptosis is a novel form of cell death discovered in recent years, which has been found to be involved in the pathogenesis of numerous neurological disorders, including depressive disorder. Currently, some studies have shifted the focus of antidepressant treatment towards targeted inhibition of ferroptosis, and achieved positive outcomes. The present paper provides a comprehensive review of the involvement of ferroptosis in depressive disorder pathogenesis and its potential therapeutic implications, drawing on clinical and preclinical evidence that elucidates the underlying mechanisms linking depressive disorder with ferroptotic processes.

This paper reviews relevant literatures at home and abroad. The cases of child sexual abuse are systematically discussed from the aspects of epidemiology and forensic examination, in order to develop and improve the inspection and appraisal thinking and ability of domestic forensic workers in such cases. The paper also briefly introduces the current situation and existing problems of dealing with child sexual abuse cases for case-handling units at base level in China, in order to provide help to the formulation, improvement and development of relevant standards and norms for child protection in China.

Stroke has become the leading cause of death in China, and rational diet is an important primary prevention strategy, but the optimal dietary pattern remains to be studied. Based on this, this paper reviews the progress of epidemiological studies on the correlation of Mediterranean Diet (MD) , Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) pattern, Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay (MIND) diet, Japanese dietary pattern and Chinese diet pattern with cerebrovascular diseases, and suggests that MD pattern, DASH pattern and Japanese dietary pattern have protective effects on cerebrovascular disease; however, the relationship between MIND pattern and cerebrovascular disease remains uncertain. There is a lack of large-scale randomized controlled trials to examine the effect of traditional Chinese dietary pattern on cerebrovascular diseases. In the future, active efforts in exploring the healthy dietary patterns in line with local dietary habits are needed for providing a Chinese strategy for primary stroke prevention.

Food intake disorders are costly to treat, with an increasing prevalence over the years, and a higher risk of mortality compared to other psychiatric disorders. Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) , as a relatively new type of food intake disorder, is more prevalent in children and adolescents than in other age groups, affecting their normal growth and development, as well as psychosocial functioning. Currently, there are more foreign studies, while domestic studies are still in the initial stage. Therefore, this paper reviews assessment tools, influencing factors and treatment approaches for ARFID in children and adolescents, with the aim of providing a reference for related research in China.

China is one of the countries with the fastest growing prevalence of diabetes in the world, and also has the largest number of people with diabetes. The "Health China 2030" plan clearly proposes to further prevent and control major diseases, implement diabetes prevention and control, and guide patients with diabetes to strengthen health management and delay or prevent the development of diabetes. In the past 20 years, value co-creation theory has been well developed in the field of health services, and different countries (regions) have explored programs to prevent and control diabetes at low cost and high effectiveness, but it is currently lacking in the field of chronic disease management in China. Based on the perspective of value co-creation, this paper further summarizes the domestic and international experience of chronic disease management taking community as the research and analysis point, proposes the prospect from four aspects of active health, organizational guidance, digital technology, and incentive assessment, which provides references for optimizing and improving the service system of diabetes management at primary health care, establishing a model of collaborative participation of multiple subjects in community chronic disease management based on value co-creation, and realizing co-creation, co-management and sharing of chronic disease management.

Important forensic diagnostic indicators of sudden death in coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, such as acute or chronic myocardial ischemic changes, sometimes make it difficult to locate the ischemic site due to the short death process, the lack of tissue reaction time. In some cases, the deceased died of sudden death on the first-episode, resulting in difficulty for medical examiners to make an accurate diagnosis. However, clinical studies on coronary instability plaque revealed the key role of coronary spasm and thrombosis caused by their lesions in sudden coronary death process. This paper mainly summarizes the pathological characteristics of unstable coronary plaque based on clinical medical research, including plaque rupture, plaque erosion and calcified nodules, as well as the influencing factors leading to plaque instability, and briefly describes the research progress and technique of the atherosclerotic plaques, in order to improve the study on the mechanism of sudden coronary death and improve the accuracy of the forensic diagnosis of sudden coronary death by diagnosing different pathologic states of coronary atherosclerotic plaques.

In recent years， with frequent outbreaks of infectious diseases around the world， the global public health is faced with many threats and challenges. An infectious diseases early warning system is an important means for prevention and control of infectious diseases. As an important part of the early warning system， the warning indicators is crucial for understanding the occurrence and development trend of infectious diseases， detecting abnormal situations timely and effectively， and issuing early warning and initiating emergency response. Based on the occurrence and development process of infectious diseases， this paper summarizes the research status of early warning indicators on infectious diseases， in order to provide reference for the development and improvement of the infectious diseases early warning system.

The COVID-19 pandemic has devastated human health and global economy. Diminished immune function of health-related vulnerable populations leads to insufficient protective effect of the vaccine with a higher risk of severe illness and death following infection, and there is a lack of adequate targeted drugs for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. In the context that COVID-19 treated as a Category B disease in China, vulnerable populations have become the priority populations for epidemic prevention and control. Therefore, the strategies of individual immunization and prevention should be further optimized for vulnerable populations. In addition to vaccines, other prevention strategies should be supplemented, such as long-acting neutralizing antibodies. Based on this, this paper reviews the identification, immune function characteristics and prevention strategies of COVID-19 in vulnerable populations, to provide a reference for the prevention and control strategies for health-related vulnerable populations in China, expecting that more suitable preventive drugs for vulnerable populations can be developed in the future to reduce the risk of COVID-19 in vulnerable populations.

Wound age estimation is the core content in the practice of forensic medicine. Accurate estimation of wound age is a scientific question that needs to be urgently solved by forensic scientists at home and abroad. Metabolomics techniques can effectively detect endogenous metabolites produced by internal or external stimulating factors and describe the dynamic changes of metabolites in vivo. It has the advantages of strong operability, high detection efficiency and accurate quantitative results. Machine learning algorithm has special advantages in processing high-dimensional data sets, which can effectively mine biological information and truly reflect the physiological, disease or injury state of the body. It is a new technical means for efficiently processing high-throughput big data. This paper reviews the status and advantages of metabolomic techniques combined with machine learning algorithm in the research of wound age estimation, and provides new ideas for this research.

Age estimation based on tissues or body fluids is an important task in forensic science. The changes of DNA methylation status with age have certain rules, which can be used to estimate the age of the individuals. Therefore, it is of great significance to discover specific DNA methylation sites and develop new age estimation models. At present, statistical models for age estimation have been developed based on the rule that DNA methylation status changes with age. The commonly used models include multiple linear regression model, multiple quantile regression model, support vector machine model, artificial neural network model, random forest model, etc. In addition, there are many factors that affect the level of DNA methylation, such as the tissue specificity of methylation. This paper reviews these modeling methods and influencing factors for age estimation based on DNA methylation, with a view to provide reference for the establishment of age estimation models.

Autologous platelet concentrate (APC) is a platelet concentrate obtained by centrifugation of human or animal blood, mainly includes first-generation platelet concentrate platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and second-generation platelet concentrate platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), which is widely applied in varies fields such as dental implants, bone defect repairing and burn plastic surgery because of its role in wound healing and tissue repair. In recent years, autologous platelet concentrate has been applied to improve ovarian function, promote the repair of endometrial hyperplasia, treat cervical and vulvo-related lesions, and has achieved significant efficacy. However, there is a lack of effective integration of PRP and PRF research results in the field of gynecology. This paper systematically and comprehensively review the preparation, biological properties and applications in various gynecological diseases, in order to provide clinicians with new treatment ideas for gynecological diseases and reference for the further application of APC.

At present, the incidence and mortality of primary liver cancer (hereafter referred to as liver cancer) in China are high with heavy economic and disease burden. Standardized screening and health surveillance management for population as risk of liver cancer are important measures to effectively reduce the related burden of liver cancer. Currently, patients with liver cancer in primary care institutions in China lack the awareness of the necessity of liver cancer screening and surveillance with poor compliance, and the existing screening tools are less sensitive and cost-effective. This paper discusses the strategies of liver cancer screening and health surveillance management in primary care institutuons in terms of stratification of liver cancer risk assessment and screening in primary care institutions of chronic liver disease population in China, the current status of enhanced screening and long-term surveillance for population at high risk of liver cancer, to provide a reference for the standardization of screening, early diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer in China, with the aim of improving the screening coverage and control effects of liver cancer in primary care in China.

There are many types of assessment tools for dementia patients both domestically and internationally. However, assessments using single-dimensional measurement tools often have limitations, and there is still a lack of reports on comprehensive assessment tools specifically for dementia patients in current. Based on this, the comprehensive assessment tools for the elderly with dementia are reviewed both domestically and internationally, 8 assessment tools from the perspectives of demand and function for the elderly with dementia are summarized, and the content, reliability and validity, application of each tool are discussed in this paper, in order to provide reference for the use and development of assessment tools for the elderly with dementia in China.

Spinal degenerative diseases are currently most common clinical conditions and also dominant diseases in the field of traumatology and orthopedics. Traditional Chinese manipulative therapy is a common approach for spinal degenerative diseases in traumatology and orthopedics of Chinese medicine. However, the current researches on the efficacy mechanism of traditional Chinese manipulative therapy is still not deep enough, which hinders the modernization and internationalization of the study on the manipulative therapy. Combination of medicine and industry is a novel research idea generated by the combination of relevant scientific and technological progress and the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine in recent years, which is helpful to realize the modernization of the research on the efficacy mechanism of traditional Chinese manipulative therapy and promote the internationalization of traditional Chinese manipulative therapy. Using the application status of modern engineering technologies such as mechanical engineering technology, software engineering technology, neural engineering technology and artificial intelligence technology in the research of traditional Chinese manipulative therapy as research ideas, this paper sorts out the researches on the modernization on the efficacy mechanism of traditional Chinese manipulation under the "combination of medicine and industry" research model in recent years, in order to provide reference ideas for the subsequent researches of the efficacy mechanism of manipulation in the treatment of spinal degenerative diseases.

Mental illness usually involves a range of cognitive, behavioral, and affective symptoms associated with impaired occupational or social functioning. Duration of untreated psychosis (DUP) is considered as an important predictor and independent risk factor for the prognosis of patients with mental disorders, a longer DUP is associated with poor prognosis. Meanwhile, early intervention measures to shorten DUP have gradually attracted increasing attention from both domestic and international researchers. In this paper, the related studies on DUP were reviewed and analyzed, the concept, measurement tools, neurobiological mechanisms of DUP, the relationship between DUP and prognosis, and early intervention measures to shorten DUP were described, in order to provide ideas and reference for developing clinical intervention strategies for DUP.

As an important anthropometric characteristic， human height not only contributes to the recognition of other anthropological characteristics and genetic risk factors， but also is an important part of forensic DNA phenotyping studies. Accurate estimation of height can provide more complete information about the phenotype of suspects and provide help to solve cases. In recent years， having benefited from the rapid development of molecular biological techniques and bioinformatics， height-related genetics research has made some progress. This paper describes the research progress of human height estimation from the genetic variation and the epigenetic inheritance perspectives and looks into the future research direction.

Research on facial micro-expression analysis has been going on for decades. Micro-expression can reflect the true emotions of individuals, and it has important application value in assisting auxiliary diagnosis and disease monitoring of mental disorders. In recent years, the development of artificial intelligence and big data technology has made the automatic recognition of micro-expressions possible, which will make micro-expression analysis more convenient and more widely used. This paper reviews the development of facial micro-expression analysis and its application in forensic psychiatry, to look into further application prospects and development direction.

Skeleton and teeth are important biological samples. Due to their special structure and strong ability to resist degradation, they are ideal biological materials to retain DNA under natural condition. In many cases, such as historical figure identification, aged skeleton and teeth are usually the only biological samples. However, their DNA is in a state of trace, damage and degradation to different degrees, which requires special experimental treatment to achieve identification. This paper reviews the sample selection, DNA extraction, DNA enrichment and analysis approaches based on relevant research reports in recent years, aiming to promote the further development and improvement of the aged skeleton and teeth identification system.

Estimation of postmortem interval （PMI） plays a crucial role in forensic study and identification work. Because of the unique anatomy location, vitreous humor is considered to be used for estima- ting PMI, which has aroused interest among scholars, and some researches have been carried out. The detection techniques of vitreous humor are constantly developed and improved which have been gradually applied in forensic science, meanwhile, the study of PMI estimation using vitreous humor is updated rapidly. This paper reviews various techniques and instruments applied to vitreous humor detection, such as ion selective electrode, capillary ion analysis, spectroscopy, chromatography, nano-sensing technology, automatic biochemical analyser, flow cytometer, etc., as well as the related research progress on PMI estimation in recent years. In order to provide a research direction for scholars and promote a more accurate and efficient application in PMI estimation by vitreous humor analysis, some inner problems are also analysed in this paper.

Recent discovered ocular glymphatic system, which is facilitated by aquaporin-4 (AQP4) and dependent on the exchange system of aqueous humor-tissue fluid in the perivascular space of retinal arterial and venous, ultimately acts as the role of expelling neurotoxic substances such as beta-amyloid out of the eye, has updated our knowledge of intraocular circulation. This paper reviews the composition and function of ocular glymphatic system, describes its specific circulatory paths in the physiological state and mechanism of impairment in the progression of glaucoma, optic disc edema, Terson syndrome and other diseases, In the future, we can identify the specific regulatory links of the ocular glymphatic system and improve the function of the system, such as using the advantages of multiple targets and multiple pathways of traditional Chinese medicine to promote the removal of metabolic wastes in the eye, which will bring hope to the treatment of many eye diseases such as glaucoma and some central nervous system diseases.

In recent years, the types and quantities of fentanyl analogs have increased rapidly. It has become a hotspot in the illicit drug control field of how to quickly identify novel fentanyl analogs and to shorten the blank regulatory period. At present, the identification methods of fentanyl analogs that have been developed mostly rely on reference materials to target fentanyl analogs or their metabolites with known chemical structures, but these methods face challenges when analyzing new compounds with unknown structures. In recent years, emerging machine learning technology can quickly and automatically extract valuable features from massive data, which provides inspiration for the non-targeted screening of fentanyl analogs. For example, the wide application of instruments like Raman spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, high resolution mass spectrometry, and other instruments can maximize the mining of the characteristic data related to fentanyl analogs in samples. Combining this data with an appropriate machine learning model, researchers may create a variety of high-performance non-targeted fentanyl identification methods. This paper reviews the recent research on the application of machine learning assisted non-targeted screening strategy for the identification of fentanyl analogs, and looks forward to the future development trend in this field.

The postmortem interval （PMI） estimation is a key and difficult point in the practice of forensic medicine, and forensic scientists at home and abroad have been searching for objective, quantifiable and accurate methods of PMI estimation. With the development and combination of high-throughput sequencing technology and artificial intelligence technology, the establishment of PMI model based on the succession of the microbial community on corpses has become a research focus in the field of forensic medicine. This paper reviews the technical methods, research applications and influencing factors of microbial community in PMI estimation explored by using high-throughput sequencing technology, to provide a reference for the related research on the use of microbial community to estimate PMI.

Resistiveness to care (RTC) is a common abnormal behavioral symptom in dementia patients during the care process, which seriously negatively impacts the patients and their caregivers. The research on assessment tools for RTC started earlier in foreign countries, and has explored relevant aspects more deeply and comprehensively. Since the Resistiveness to Care Scale for Dementia of the Alzheimer's Type (RTC-DAT) came out in 1999, overseas researchers have made several revisions to its content and methods, and have expanded it to include different scales for assessing RTC in different care settings. In this paper, we present a review of the tools developed overseas to assess RTC in patients with dementia, focusing on the differences in contents and methods of the tools, and the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of each tool, which may offer insights into China's development of such a tool or introduction of a foreign tool applicable to China. The evaluation method of the assessment tools currently used in foreign research on RTC in patients with dementia is mostly based on the researcher-observed method used in the initial RTC-DAT, which faces many limitations in its practical application. The Refusal of Care Informant Scale (RoCIS) developed in 2022 attempts to use the method of evaluation by consulting caregivers, which is commonly used in other fields, providing a new way for China's introduction or development of a RTC assessment tool applicable to Chinese dementia patients. Considering various types of these tools, we recommend that the tool should be selected according to its applicability assessed comprehensively.

The integration mechanism of medical treatment and prevention based on family doctor teams is a key way to break down the barrier between "medical" and "prevention". In this paper, we explain the definition and connotation of treatment-prevention integration, review the development history of family doctor teams, systematically review the typical practice strategies and the shortcomings of treatment-prevention integrationon family doctor teams in China. Measures should be taken to promote the treatment-prevention integration, including improve the talent training system, change views of "attaching importance to treatment and neglecting prevention", strengthen the organization and management, innovate the assessment and incentive mechanism, reform the medical insurance payment method, encourage diversified forms of services, etc. The study aims to provide reference for improving the quality of services and developing treatment-prevention integration in the future.

Although RTC is strongly associated with agitation or aggressive behavior, it is a specific behavioral response of dementia patients to caregivers, and may result in a negative feedback mechanism as it often directly, negatively impacts caregivers. Currently, there are rare studies on RTC in dementia patients or measuring RTC in these patients using relevant tools in China, which may be because domestic researchers easily confuse RTC with other behavioral concepts. While the concept of RTC was introduced earlier in foreign studies, and has been systematically explored and studied. In this paper, we reviewed available relevant studies, and gave a detailed description of the concept, impact, assessment tools, and interventions regarding RTC, with a view to providing ideas and strategies for the study of RTC in patients with dementia in China.

With the increasing aging situation, how to successfully carry out intelligent care for the elderlyhas become an important issue, and ergonomics brings effective guarantee and new opportunities for intelligent care for the elderly. Based on the concept of ergonomics, this paper summarizes the current research status and application progress of ergonomics in the field of intelligent care for the elderly. By considering the unique cognitive, perceptual, physical function and motivational characteristics of the elderly, ergonomics makes the design of intelligent care products closer to the needs of the elderly and creates a more comfortable and convenient intelligent care environment. In the future, based on the optimization and innovation of hardware and software facilities of intelligent care through ergonomics, researchers should pay more attention to the universality and rigor of design, and integrate the characteristics of ergonomics, in order to provide high safety, convenient, and modernizedintelligentcare for the elderly.
