This article presents water chemistry characters of 180 springs of the Tramuntana mountain range. Studied parameters are altitude, water temperature, pH, conductivity, main anions (bicarbonates, chlorine, sulphates) and main cations (calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium). Principal features about these parameters are explained through the article and also relations among them. Main chemical compounds are deduced from this information. Finally, waters are classified in relation with their main ions through a Piper diagram. Most of these waters are bicarbonate calcic or magnesic and, secondly, sulphated calcic or magnesic. Chlorine and sodium participation are always a minority. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
