من خلال استقراء بعض النصوص المسمارية فقد كان للكلب حضورا دينيا في بلاد الرافدين من حيث كونه مرافقا شخصيا للكثير من الآلهة ولاسيَّما الإلهة نن-إيسينا/كولا إلهة الطب والشفاء التي عدّ الكلب رمزها الديني، فبحسب رأي بعض الباحثين أن السبب في ذلك هو أن هذا الحيوان عادة ما يقوم بلعق جروحه وهذا بحد ذاته نوع من التطبب لما يحتويه لعابه من مضادات جرثومية تعمل مثل المضادات الحيوية، مع أن الدراسات السريرية العلمية تؤكد على الأثر المحدود في تعزيز الشفاء من لعاب الكلاب. كما أدت تماثيل الكلب الصغيرة دوراً في المجال من حيث كون بعضها كان لأغراض تعبدية - تكريسية للإلهة كولا ومعابدها بالدرجة الأولى ، إذ أن هذه التماثيل كانت للحماية والوقاية من الأخطار والشرور التي تجلبها الأرواح الشريرة، عن طريق دفن تلك التماثيل، الملونة أحيانا، تحت عتبات القصور والبيوت أو في زوايا الغرف وكما استعملت بعض تلك التماثيل لأغراض دينية – طبية الغاية منها صنع بديل لتحويل الشرور القابعة في المريض نحو التمثال للتخلص منها وكما دخلت العديد من أجزاء جسم الكلب الحي وأفرازاته في صنع الأدوية في بلاد الرافدين.

يعد التلفاز احد وسائل الاعلام المهمة والذي يسهم بشكل فعال في بلورة ثقافة المجتمع وتكوين رؤاه الفكرية وتأخذ الوسيلة الاعلامية اساسها الدولي من الاعلانات والمواثيق الدولية، وعلى النطاق الداخلي تستند إلى الدساتير والتشريعات الوطنية التي تنظم عمل الاعلام وتضع الحدود لممارسة هذه الحرية، وتتعدد البرامج التي تعرضها شاشات التلفاز ومن بين هذه البرامج التي ظهرت في الآونة الاخيرة برامج المقالب التلفزيونية وتقوم فكرة هذه البرامج على استضافة شخصية مشهورة داخل المجتمع ووضعه في موقف مفتعل من خلال احتجازه واسماعه عبارات تمس كرامته الانسانية أو اثارة الرعب والخوف فيه لأظهار ردود افعال غريبة منه بغية زيادة متابعي هذه القناة التلفزيونية، وهذه المقالب في حقيقتها تتنافى مع معايير السلوك الاخلاقية وحدود حرية الاعلام في العمل التلفزيوني وتتعارض مع النصوص الدولية والدساتير والتشريعات الوطنية المنظمة للعمل الاعلامي، وهذه الافعال قد تشكل جرائم تعاقب عليها القوانين الجزائية ومنها قانون العقوبات العراقي، ومن ذلك ما يتعلق باستعمال المفرقعات أو المتفجرات و حجز الاشخاص و القذف والسب وغيرها من الافعال المجرمة

الفعل هو ما دل على الزمن والحدث، وفي قراءة أبان بن تغلب في الرفع دلّ الفعل على الحال مثل قراءته {نقاتل} فأراد حالهم هو القتال، ومن حالات النصب هو حذف النون من الفعل وذلك طلبا للتخفيف، وحجة قراءته بالمبني للمعلوم أنّه قد بنى الفعل للفاعل.

This paper presents study of the properties of ZnO and ZnO:B deposited at 450oC on glass substrates by chemical spray pyrolysis (CSP) with thickness(150±5 nm) as a gas sensor for vapor ethanol and CO gases. The structure of ZnO:B films has been found to exhibit the hexagonal wurtzite structure. The increase of boron concentration caused to decrease the grain size. The structural details were obtained from X-ray diffraction. The surface morphology of the films was studied by using the Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and the Transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Sensitivity of the films is increases with the increase of boron concentration and substrate temperature

كيف كان الشعرُ العربي القديمُ يتناول الأحداثَ؛ الواقعيةَ والمتخيّلةَ، كالمعاركِ والوقائعِ، على سبيلِ المثالِ؟ وكيف تعاملَ النقدُ العربي الوسيطُ مع الشعرِ الذي يروي حوادثَ أو أخباراً أو قصصاً؟ هل حلّله وقيّمه، أم اكتفى بالإشارةِ إليه، أم أهملَه كُليّاً؟ هذه التساؤلاتُ هي محاورُ البحثِ المركزيِّةُ في سعيهِ للكشفِ عن الرؤيةِ النسقيّةِ الحاكمةِ للنقدِ العربي القديمِ ونزعتهِ الرئيسةِ في تعاملِه مع هذا النوعِ من الشعرِ. وقد قادَت هذه المحاورُ، بعد الخوضِ في الاجراءاتِ، إلى تساؤلٍ استنتاجِي هو: هل نحنُ أمامَ ندرةٍ في أشكالِ التمثيلِ الشعري العربي القديمِ للحدثِ، أم أمامَ ندرةٍ في الرؤيةِ النقديةِ والبلاغيةِ لهذه الأشكالِ، وتصنيفِها، وتحليلِ أساليبِها، وطرائقِها؟ هذا ما تكفّلَت خاتمةُ البحثِ بالإجابةِ عنهُ.

SSM has been used as an interpretive approach to achieve the primary aim of this study, which is to extract the real world complexity and evolve the use of social networks and thereby to realize the main target of improving the use of social networks in accordance with the original problematical situation. Seven academic libraries were involved in this study: Sultan Qaboos University main library, Nizwa University library, Middle East College library, Ibri Applied Science College library, Sohar Applied Science College library, Muscat Higher Technical College library, and Nizwa Technical College library. 53 participants were involved in characterizing their situation in face-to face individual interviews in order to obtain understating of the complexity of implementation of social networks in OALs. The findings revealed that implementation of social networks in OALs was problematical due to lack of use of social networks activities in OALs. Currently, two out of seven libraries use Facebook, and only one library uses Twitter. Meanwhile, the library of Sultan Qaboos University is starting to apply the YouTube channel and Instagram on its Beta web site. The results also revealed factors that were delaying adoption of social networks in OALs. The internal factors identified include lack of awareness and training, lack of communication between academic libraries and library staff and IT staff, and lack of employees in libraries. Meanwhile, there were external factors related to lack of policy and regulations and weakness and low speed of the internet and factors related to sustainability and data conservation. Interestingly, the findings of this study acknowledge social networks could enhance academic libraries in such fields as: giving the library an identity, promoting library information services, marketing library services, providing current awareness services, providing new acquisitions and communicating with library users and other libraries. Therefore, it was concluded that academic libraries should educate librarians and users regarding the use of social networks in library services, as well as formulate a policy and laws to use these applications in Omani academic libraries Then, the results of finding out about the problematical situation were used to develop conceptual models and two group interviews were conducted for the purpose of discussing conceptual activities which were suggested for improving the situation and identifying systems that are systemically desirable and culturally feasible. A workshop was then implemented for the purpose of applying awareness raising and training systems, enhancing communication among OALs, and training library staff on how to develop strategic plans and action plans towards the implementation of social networks in their libraries. The processes of this study were designed to contribute to changing the structure, attitude and procedure of the OALs in regard to the use social networks in these libraries. This study would likewise contribute in the field of using SSM in the implantation of social networks in academic libraries.

اعتمدت الدراسة على منهجية النظم الناعمة (Soft System Methodology) بهدف الكشف عن واقع استخدام شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في المكتبات الأكاديمية العمانية، وتطور استخدام هذه الشبكات وذلك للوصول إلى الهدف الرئيس من هذه الدراسة والذي يتمثل في تطوير نموذج لاستخدام شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في المكتبات الأكاديمية العمانية. اختيرت عينة قصدية تضمنت 53 مشاركا من موظفي سبع مكتبات أكاديمية، وهي: المكتبة الرئيسة بجامعة السلطان قابوس، ومكتبة جامعة نزوى، ومكتبة كلية الشرق الأوسط، ومكتبات كليات العلوم التطبيقية في كل من عبري وصحار، وكذلك مكتبات كليات التقنية في كل من مسقط ونزوى. ومن لهم علاقة بتبني استخدام شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في المكتبات الأكاديمية العمانية مثل عمداء الكليات، ورؤساء مراكز مصادر التعلم، ورئيس الجمعية العمانية للمكتبات، والمسؤول عن مشروع المكتبة الوطنية الرقمية، وموظفي من نظم المعلومات، وذلك بهدف تحقيق فهم شامل وعميق لواقع استخدام هذه الشبكات في المكتبات الأكاديمية العمانية. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود اشكالية في استخدام شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في المكتبات الأكاديمية العمانية، حيث انفردت مكتبتان فقط من بين سبع مكتبات في استخدام الفيسبوك، ومكتبة واحدة تستخدم التويتر. بينما وجد أن المكتبة الرئيسية في جامعة السلطان قابوس بدأت باستخدام قناة اليوتيوب والانستجرام على موقعها التجريبي. كما كشفت الدراسة عن وجود عوامل مؤثرة أدت إلى تأخر المكتبات العمانية في تبني استخدام شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي ومن أهمها تدني الوعي والتدريب، وقلة التواصل بين المكتبات الأكاديمية العمانية وبين موظفي المكتبة وفنيي نظم المعلومات والتقنيات، قلة عدد موظفي المكتبة، وعدم وجود خطة واضحة لسياسة وقوانين استخدام هذه الشبكات في المكتبات الأكاديمية العمانية. أيضا الملكية الفكرية وعوامل الاستدامة وحفظ البيانات اعتبرت عوامل مؤثرة في توظيف شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في المكتبات الأكاديمية. كما أكدت نتائج الدراسة أن استخدام شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي قد يعزز من خدمات المعلومات وتطورها في مجالات متعددة ومن أهمها التعريف بالمكتبة، وتحسين خدمات المعلومات التي تقدمها، وتسويق خدماتها، والإحاطة الجارية، وتقديم الخدمات المكتسبة الجديدة، والتواصل مع المستفيدين من المكتبة والمكتبات الأخرى. كما توصلت الدراسة إلى أن هناك حاجة لتثقيف موظفي المكتبة والمستفيدين بخصوص كيفية استخدام هذه الشبكات في الاستفادة من الخدمات التي تقدمها المكتبة، وضرورة صياغة سياسة واضحة وقوانين لاستخدام هذه التطبيقات في المكتبات الأكاديمية العمانية. واستخدمت النتائج المستخلصة من المرحلة الأولى في البحث وفقا لمنهجية النظم الناعمة (إيجاد واقع الإشكالية)، في تطوير النموذج المفاهيمي، كما استخدمت الدراسة مجموعتين من المقابلات الجماعية بهدف مناقشة أنشطة النموذج المفاهيمي الذي اقترح في المرحلة الثانية وذلك لتحسين واقع استخدام هذه التطبيقات والوصول إلى تحديد الأنشطة التي تتوافق مع حاجة مجتمع الدراسة. نفذت بعد ذلك ورشة عمل بهدف زيادة الوعي والتدريب وتعزيز التواصل بين المكتبات الأكاديمية العمانية، وتدريب موظفي المكتبة على كيفية تطوير الخطط الاستراتيجية وتنفيذها من أجل تبني وتنفيذ شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في المكتبات الأكاديمية العمانية.هذه الدراسة ستساهم في مجال استخدام منهجية النظم الناعمة في دراسة توظيف شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في المكتبات الأكاديمية. حيث هناك قلة من الدراسات التي نشرت باللغة العربية تتضح فيها خطوات توظيف هذه المنهجية (المراحل الأربع) في التعامل مع القضايا الاجتماعية.

The management of class is a difficult task and how to establish a good relation between the teacher and his students is more difficult. Hence, it is the purpose of this paper to facilitate such difficulties through presenting some strategies which are believed as being essential tools that should be familiar to all teachers. Many graduate students and post doctorates want to learn how to teach, but they may not have the opportunity to do so while enrolled in graduate school or while working in their post doctorates position. So, it is the aim of this paper to provide support for all graduate students and post doctorates who are interested in learning the concept 0f teaching, engaging students, and creating learning environments.

The purpose of this paper is to solve the nonlinear rate equations of directly modulated semiconductor laser by direct simulation (numerical solution) where the rate equations are described the dynamic behavior of semiconductor laser because of optical field is depended on the time. The other side, the rate equations are described the interactions among photon density ,carrier density ,and the phase of photon .However ,these equations are used to predict the nonlinear distortions which it is appeared in the performance of directly modulated semiconductor laser.

A theoretical analysis of the coupled-cavity semiconductor laser requires simultaneous consideration of the gain and loss in the two cavities after taking into account their mutual optical feedback. Is wavelength-independent (and hence the same for all Fapry-perot (FP), in a coupled-cavity laser the effective facet loss becomes different.

Concrete works are suffered from many problems like the selection of materials used, mixing, placing, compacting, and curing of concrete. These stages of manufacturing concrete affect the quality of produced concrete. Also, there are many difficulties in converting the proportioning of concrete mixes by weight to the proportioning by volume. Moreover, the tables used to estimate the quantities of materials needed to produce one cubic meter of concrete must be studied carefully to reduce the errors in estimation. This research aims to introduce the solution for the problems mentioned above and provide the engineer with a guide for the calculations of construction materials.

Four treatmeants of montry cheese were made in this study, one of them with out coating ( T1 ) ,while the second was coated with paraffin ( T2 ) as a control treatment. Treatment T3 and T4 were coated with Sodium caseinate and gelatin solutions fortified with antimicrobial agents, respectively. Total count of bacteria was calculated in montry cheese in all treatments during ripening. Results indicate there are a significant differences at level 5% in total counts and coliform bacteria between un coated montery cheese and paraffin coated cheese in compared with treatments coated with casein and gelatin film which fortified with antimicrobial agents such as lysozyme, EDTA and natamycine at minimum inhibitory concentration. There are no siginficant differences in lipolytic and proteolytic bacteria were found in all treatments. It means the addition of lysozyme and EDTA to T3 and T4 had no effects to reduce the counts of these bacteria.There is a signicant difference in Staphylococcus aureus at level 5% in T3 and T4 in compared with T1 and T2. There are no molds growth in T3 and T4, while there is a mold growth since first week of ripening in T1 and T2. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
