Ali Mustafa Yakub and the Majelis Ulama Indonesia (Indonesian Ulama Council) differed in their interpretation of the Indonesian qibla directon. According to the Indonesian Ulama Council, the qibla of Indonesia faces northwest, whereas Yakub believes it faces west. The Hisab Rukyat Board of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, the Indonesian Ulama Council, Islamic organizations, and Islamic scholars (ulama) can use this research as a reference when determining the qibla. This study employs Abdul Wahhab Khallaf's takhsis theory in ‘Ilm Uṣūl al-Fiqh. In this investigation, both qualitative and quantitative methodologies were utilized. The Al-Qur'an is interpreted using the thematic interpretation procedure. This study concludes that the majority of the hadiths narrated by Tirmizī (the direction between east and west is the qibla) can be interpreted in light of verse 144 of surah al-Baqarah (turn your face toward the Masjid al-Haram). This takhsis theory classifies the direction of the Indonesian qibla into three categories: general (west), semi-specific (northwest), and special ('ainul Kaaba).

In the 9th century of hijri., a big scholar in the field of Hadith, Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani has described the guidance of the Shariat in dealing with an pandemic which was packaged in his book "Badzlul Mâ'un fî Fadhli ath-Thâ'un ". This book should be noted through the comparison of the pandemic study between the arguments of the imam with the views of modern scholars, in order to weigh the weight of their respective views. With this comparison, a scientific method of hazanah Islam can be seen in looking at a problematic community that has repeatedly occurred, such as the pandemic COVID-19, as well as connecting the scientific chain and Islamic literature passed down from the Prophet to the next generation, as it is known that the scientific chain known as 'sanad' is part of religion. This research reveals 3 main topics related to pandemic management guidance, namely the validity of syahid status for the dead, the origin of quarantine, and guidance during and after the pandemic.

This research was aimed to determine the effectiveness of online instructional material model for EFS courses developed through Moodle for Secretarial Academy (ASTRI) of Budi Luhur students when compared to the existing EFS instructional material. This qualitative research conducted in the second semester of 2007/2008 academic year. Meanwhile the data sources used in this study were respondents consisting of 48 ASTRI Budi Luhur students as well as documents consisting of observation guidelines and post test results. The students were divided into 2 classes, namely BA and BB classes. BA class is treated as an experimental class while BB class is treated as a control class. This experiment was carried out for 7 times fully online learning with synchronous learning method. In analyzing the data collected, the researchers used T-Test to find out the effectiveness of EFS instructional material through Moodle. Based on the results of the post test conducted, EFS instructional material through Moodle had been proven to be able to improve four english skills which include listening, reading, speaking and writing to the students of ASTRI Budi Luhur Jakarta.

There has been a trend of utilizing mobile tools in the university. This study is proposed to construct mobile learning media based on Android for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah or Primary School in Learning Strategy courses. The study participants were university students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education in Malang. The study design was R and D with both quantitative and qualitative data. The study result have been in the form of mobile learning media based on Android. Six expert judgments have validated this product to ascertain the feasibility of the designed prototype. The validation by material experts' validation results were 91% and 89% valid, while validation rates by design experts were 93% and 92%. The validation result by learning experts showed 88% and 89% valid. The design was tested to three students with individual trials, then to a small group trial with ten students, and finally, a field trial on an experimental class of 43 students using a questionnaire. The trials' result on small groups showed 88% valid, and the field trials showed 86% valid. The findings indicated that Android-based mobile learning on learning strategy course material had a better effect than conventional learning on student learning outcomes.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan relasi gender yang harmonis dibangun melalui pendidikan anak. Berdasarkan pengamatan, penelitian, dan pengetahuan penulis menunjukkan bahwa Pada prinsipnya lelaki dan perempuan memiliki kesempatan untuk meningkatan kapabalitas, kompetensi pengetahuan diantaranya dengan cara belajar pada jenjang pendidikan tinggi. Namun, pada tataran realitas masih banyak terjadi disparitas terkait kesempatan meraih pendidikan yang selayaknya bagi perempuan yang disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor. Adapun penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif, dengan mengeksplorasi dan memeriksa data yang tersedia secara terstruktur dan mendalam. Jenis penelitian ini lebih menekankan menggunakan kepustakaan, kemudian analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah mengunakan metode tafsi>r al-Maudhu>’i. Membangun pendidikan berkeadilan merupakan salah satu solusi dari terjadinya ketimpangan gender dalam pendidikan. Al-Qur’an menunjukkan isyarat kesetaraan dan keadilan antara lelaki dan perempuan sekalipun dalam makna yang terbatas, bahwa secara pandangan teologis semua manusia derajat kemanusiaannya sama di sisi Allah Swt, tidak ada perbedaan antara satu suku dengan yang lain. Tidak juga ada perbedaan pada nilai kemanusiaan antara lelaki dan seorang perempuan. Maka jika seluruh stake holder memiliki tujuan yang sama maka akan terwujud pendidikan yang terselenggara secara demokratis dan berkeadilan serta tidak diskriminatis dengan menjunjung tinggi hak asasi manusia, nilai keagamaan, nilai kultural dan kemajemukan bangsa.

This paper discusses Islamic films in Indonesia that have been a phenomenon since a decade. It is reported that Islamic films have been consciously produced to propagate Islamic lessons to the Muslim youths. The paper challenges the notion that young adults are passive recipients as proposed by some popular culture theorists. They did not merely become object of ideologies injected by filmmakers, and their responses were not an unquestioning acceptance. The research found that some Muslim youths have been ambiguous toward the emergence of Islamic films. Watching movie for Indonesian youths is an important way to construct identity, and they feel that there is a sense of religious ritual involved in film viewing, especially with Islamic messages. I argue that Islamic films help Indonesian young people to develop their own distinctive identity, being new sources of authority apart from parents, formal education, and friends.[Tulisan ini membahas film islami di Indonesia yang menjadi fenomena sejak satu dekade terakhir. Film-film islami sengaja dibuat untuk menyebarkan ajaran Islam dengan sasaran kalangan muda. Makalah ini menolak gagasan bahwa remaja adalah penerima pasif seperti yang diajukan oleh teori budaya popular. Mereka tidak hanya menjadi objek desakan ideologi pembuat film dan mereka juga tidak bisa menerimanya secara bulat. Sebagian pemuda muslim merasa ambigu menghadapi munculnya film-film Islam. Di sisi lain, menonton film menjadi media untuk membangun identitas diri dan dapat dirasakan sebagai bagian dari ritual agama, khususnya ketika menonton film yang mengandung pesan-pesan Islam. Dengan demikian, film Islam membantu pemuda Indonesia untuk mengembangkan identitas mereka sendiri dan menjadi sumber otoritas baru di luar orang tua, pendidikan formal, dan lingkungan pergaulan.]Keywords: religious film, youth identity, Islamic cinema
