Scientific knowledge in general is one of the most important things and elements that researchers and specialists seek to study and deepen in order to reach new scientific foundations that deepen the vision in the field of specialization and build a base of information that contributes and helps in the development of knowledge output, and the sum of what the learner possesses of information and knowledge related to understanding the philosophy of science. University education, and that identifying the extent to which the objectives of the educational process are achieved in the faculties of basic education for the subject of educational measurement and evaluation requires evaluating the cognitive output of the learners, which was followed by the researchers in building a cognitive test for the subject of educational measurement and evaluation of 30 items prepared in a multiple-choice format on a sample of 70 students The test was prepared in a scientific way and the scientific foundations for the paragraphs were found, which proved that the test is suitable for the main research sample to which the test was applied, numbering 70 male and female students. The researchers recommend relying on this test when evaluating students of basic education colleges in the subject of educational measurement and evaluation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background & Aims Considering the prevalence of COVID-19, the sensitivity of the nursing profession, and the harmful effects of job burnout on the quality of nursing care, the present study aims to investigate the role of personality traits, work-family conflicts, and social support in predicting job burnout of nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials & Methods This descriptive-analytical study with a cross-sectional design was conducted from August to September 2021, coinciding with the fifth wave of COVID-19 in Iran, on 130 nurses working in four hospitals in Ilam province, who were selected by a random sampling method. Data collection tools were a demographic form, Maslach burnout questionnaire, NEO personality inventory, Carlson's work)family conflict scale, and Zimet's multidimensional scale of perceived social support. The collected data were analyzed in SPSS software, version 26 using Pearson's correlation test and regression analysis. The significant level was set at 0.05. Results According to the results of regression analysis, the relationship of work-family conflict with job burnout was negative and significant (P<0.05). The extroversion had the highest effect on emotional exhaustion (β=-0.351). Perceived social support had no significant effect on job burnout (P>0.05). Agreeableness had the highest effect on depersonalization (β=0.405). The work-family conflict had the highest effect on personal accomplishment (β=0.260). Conclusion Personality traits, work-family conflicts, and social support can predict the occurrence of job burnout in nurses. It is necessary for the hospital authorities to use supportive and educational measures to reduce job burnout in nurses during the pandemic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aimed at investigating the effect of using Molecular Representation Strategy on developing the visual thinking second level students of high school in Chemical. The sample consisted of two groups: experimental group (n=30) which taught by using Molecular Representation Strategy, and control group (n=30) which taught by traditional method. To achieve the purpose of the study, the researcher designed teaching material in accordance with Molecular Representation Strategy, and a test to measure the visual thinking. The current research aims to identify the role of the university professor in providing educational security. To achieve the objectives of the current research, the researcher set a number of goals for the purpose of identifying them, which are: 1- The role of the university professor at the Open Educational College (Babylon - Jableh) in providing educational security. . 2 The role of the university professor in the Open Educational College (Babylon - Jableh) in providing educational security according to the specialization (scientific - humanitarian). 3 The role of the university professor in the Open Educational College (Babylon - Jableh) in providing educational security by gender (males - females). The researcher built a questionnaire consisting of (20) paragraphs, after verifying its validity and stability and making the required adjustments according to the opinions of experts and arbitrators. The appropriate statistics, the researcher reached a number of results, including: 1. That the professors of the Open Educational College contribute to providing educational security to a good degree. 2. There are no statistically significant differences in the level of educational security between the scientific and humanitarian specialization. 3. There are statistically significant differences in the level of educational security measurement between males and females. In light of the research results, the researcher came up with a number of recommendations, including: 1. Organizing instructive and educational courses and seminars specialized in developing the level of educational security by specialists in this regard, and encouraging teachers to join them. 2. Cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Research with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to organize programs concerned with educational security and to develop methods for that. 3. Spreading awareness among students through posters, newspapers and magazines, and confronting extremist ideas. To complement this research, the researcher suggested conducting similar research in other public and private universities, and in other variables such as the influence of ideas and the role of curricula. The research aims at constructing an instrument for measuring the selective visual attention of basic education students in Gaza, and verifying its validity and reliability. The research sample consisted of 200 grade ten students in Khan Younis (for the academic year, 2018 -2019). The evidence of constructive validity and the factorial validity of the instrument were investigated. Results of the predictive factorial analysis showed that the three tasks of the instrument covered a single potential factor namely selective visual attention. All slides of the selective visual attention tasks have achieved statistically significant correlations with the overall scores of the instrument. The content of the slides was also validated in relation to the instrument. The instrument reliability was also checked with the alpha coefficient for the final form of the instrument as a whole (0,962), and the split–half reliability coefficients ranged from (0.770 – 0.907). The study aimed to identify the degree possession of students of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Ola critical thinking skills where the study sample consisted of 380 students, In order to achieve the main objective of the study, the researcher used California to test the skills of critical thinking model (2000), after verification of its psychometric properties, and suitability for Saudi Arabia and the environment that were considered appropriate for the purposes of scientific research in order to answer questions from the study, The findings showed that the skill of reasoning came in the first rank among other critical thinking skills. Next, was the skill of induction, followed by the skills of analysis, evaluation and finally came the skill of concluding. Moreover, the results showed that there were statistical significance differences in the level of critical thinking skills and they could be attributed to of sex variable and in favor of female students. The study aimed at investigating the relationship between Omani 10th grade students' level of the inquiry skills, and their logical thinking abilities as well as the differences among students due to Gender. The sample of the study comprised of (182) grade ten students selected randomly from two Basic Education schools in Muscat Educational Region in the Sultanate of Oman. The data was collected by an Inquiry Skills Test (IST) and Logical Thinking Test (LTT). The tests were carefully and appropriately checked for validity and reliability. The results showed that the level of students' performance in both tests was very low. Also, there was significant difference in some of the inquiry skills due to students' gender in favor of females in designing activities and experiments and in favor of males in the interpretation skill . As for the logical thinking abilities, the study showed significant differences between students in favor of male students. In addition the findings reveal positive correlation between students' level of the inquiry skills, and their logical thinking abilities. In the light of the above results, some recommendations and suggestions are proposed. Teachers should use different types of inquiry in order to improve their students' inquiry skills which lead to reflecting on their logical thinking skills. In addition, science teachers should train their students to practice logical thinking skills by exposing them to the situations that require employing different types of thinking and solving the problems. Introduction: Are the education students receive prior to entering the university, based on critical thinking skills? Are their scientific abilities associated with this thinking style? This study was designed with the aim of evaluating critical thinking skills and its relationship with the achieved rank in university entrance exam in the students of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. Methods: In a descriptive study, critical thinking skills of 89 randomly selected students who entered Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in the academic year of 2006-2007, and were spending their first semester was evaluated. Data was gathered using California standard test of critical thinking skills (form B) which was run officially. The attained scores were regarded as students' critical thinking skills criteria and were investigated considering its relationship with the students rank in university entrance exam. The data was analyzed by SPSS software using t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: The mean and standard deviation of students' scores in critical thinking skills was 12.48±3.23. There was no significant relationship between the rank in university entrance exam and the total score of critical thinking. Among domains of critical thinking, there was just a significant relationship between the domain of inference and student's rank in the university entrance exam, with a relatively low correlation. In two groups of doctorate (professional doctorate) and bachelor students, only in doctorate students and in the domain of deductive reasoning, there was a significant correlation between university entrance exam rank and critical thinking scores. Conclusion: It seems that students' critical thinking scores at the time of their entrance to the university are not so desirable and their rank in the university entrance exam is not related to these skills. Therefore, it is necessary to consider teaching and promoting critical thinking skills in the university educational planning. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
