Five new species, Eurhadina (Singhardina) dissimilis, E. (S.) flatilis, E. (S.) fumosa, E. (S.) furca and E. (S.) immatura spp. nov., and two new records, E. (S.) krispinilla rec. nov., E. (S.) pookiewica rec. nov. of the leafhopper subgenus Eurhadina (Singhardina) Mahmood from China are described and illustrated and a key to all members of the E. (S.) robusta species group is provided.

Korean species of the genus Macropsis Lewis are revised taxonomically, primarily based on the abdominal apodemes, male genitalia, and 2nd valvulae of the female ovipositor. Previously only three species were erroneously recorded from Korea. Among them, Macropsis notata (Prohaska, 1923) was previously misidentified as Macropsis prasina (Boheman, 1852). Two other European species, Macropsis scutellata (Boheman, 1845) and Macropsis illota (Horváth, 1899), are removed from the list of Korean fauna based on the examination of previously identified specimens that revealed only superficial resemblance to allied species. As a result, a total of 7 species are recognized in this revision, including 2 species new to science. Descriptions and distributional data are provided for all the species. Illustrations of both male and female genitalic characters as well as apodeme structures are provided, and an identification key to species from Korea is also given.

In Russia, Kazakhstan, and Central Asia the Neoaliturus fenestratus species group includes eight species. Illustrated descriptions, oscillograms of male calling signals, and data on host plants and distribution for all species are given. One new species from European Russia and two new species from Kazakhstan and Central Asia are described, and the synonymy N. fenestratus (Herrich-Schäffer, 1834) = N. lituratus Dubovskiy, 1966, syn. n. is established. Considerations concerning possible modes of diversification of species of this group are provided.

The genus Waigara Zhang & Webb (Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae) is reported for the first time from Korea based on a new species, Waigara planstyla sp. nov.. Morphological information including diagnosis of the genus, descriptions of genitalia and illustrations of the new species, and a key to the species of the genus and type specimen’s habitus and genital photograph with redescription are provided.

The taxonomy of the hylicine genus Hatigoria Distant is reviewed based on morphological study of the types and other specimens. The male external morphology and genitalia of two known species, H. praeiens Distant, 1908 and H. sauteri Jacobi, 1914, are described and photographed for the first time. A description and figures of the female ovipositor of H. praeiens Distant, 1908 are provided. One new species, H. longistylia n. sp., from Laos and China is reported with descriptions and figures. This also represents the first record of the genus Hatigoria from Laos. A key to adult males of all species is provided.

The coelidiinae leafhopper genus Baseprocessa Fan & Li is newly recorded from India based on the description of B. patkaensis Meshram sp. nov. and a proposed new combination, B. serratispatulata (Viraktamath & Meshram) comb. nov. Materials are deposited in the National Pusa Collection, Division of Entomology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, India. Photographic illustrations, checklist and key to species of this genus along with a distribution map are also provided.

Three new species of the leafhopper genus Idioscopus Baker, 1915 from China: I. furcaprocessus sp. nov., I. longiprocessus sp. nov., and I. serratastylus sp. nov. are described and photographed based on specimens collected in Yunnan Province of southern China. These three new species can be recognised mainly by the coloration and male genitalia.

The grassland leafhopper genus Maiestas Distant is reviewed from Pakistan with the description and illustrations of one new species, Maiestas sinuata Shah & Duan sp. n., and two new records, i.e., Maiestas maculata n. rec. and Maiestas trispinosa n. rec. A checklist of the known species of Maiestas from Pakistan is also given together with a key for their separation (males).

A new Brazilian leafhopper genus of the subfamily Neocoelidiinae is proposed. Mejdalania gen. nov. is described based on three new species: Mejdalania bia sp. nov. from the state of Acre, M. longa sp. nov. from the state of Amazonas and M. unciformis sp. nov. from the state of Mato Grosso. A distribution map of Mejdalania species and an identification key for the species of the genus are provided.

The genus Anufrievia Dworakowska is reviewed with two new species from China: A. anchoroides sp. nov., and A. drepanoides sp. nov.. Detailed morphological descriptions and illustrations of these two new species and a key to all known species (males) from China are provided.

Two new species of the leafhopper tribe Erythroneurini from Guizhou province, China, Arboridia (Arboridia) huajiangensis sp. nov. and Arboridia (Arborifera) changlingensis sp. nov. are described and illustrated. The ovipositor of A. huajiangensis sp. nov. is photographed and described. A key distinguishing all known species of the genus in China is provided.

The leafhopper genus Nirvanguina Zhang & Webb (Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae: Drabescini: Paraboloponina) is reviewed, including description of a new species, Nirvanguina bifurcatus Xu & Zhang sp. nov., from China. An updated checklist along with distribution and a key to males of this genus are also provided. Type specimens of this new species are deposited in the Entomological Museum, Northwest A&F University, Yangling, Shaanxi, China (NWAFU).

A new leafhopper genus of Athysanini from China, Fuscmacula gen. nov. with F. biprocessa sp. nov. as type species is described and illustrated. This species was collected from grass. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC).

Species of the leafhopper genus Protensus Zhang & Dai, 2001 (Deltocephalinae: Athysanini) from Japan and China are reviewed, and a new species Protensus lii sp. nov. is described and illustrated from China. Protensus nigrifrons Li & Xing, 2011 is treated as incertae sedis in the tribe Mukariini (Deltocephalinae). A checklist and key to species of Protensus is provided.

The taxonomy of the deltocephaline leafhopper tribe Faltalini (13 genera, 63 species) is revised. A key to all genera and keys to species for each genus are provided. All genera are described and at least one species of each genus is illustrated including images of the habitus, male and female genitalia, and scanning electron microscope (SEM) images of the head, face, and other characters. The new genera Dietrichana n.gen. [type species D. pampas n. sp.] and Paraclorindaia n.gen. [transferred from Clorindaia] and Tenucephalus amabilis (Linnavuori & Heller) n.comb. [transferred from Bonamus] are recognized. A phylogenetic analysis based on 51 morphological characters scored for 42 taxa including two outgroup taxa was performed. The resulting phylogeny resolved Faltalini as monophyletic, but the tribe remains difficult to diagnose because it encompasses a large amount of morphological diversity in characters traditionally used to define tribes of Deltocephalinae including head morphology, wing length and venation, and male genitalia. Despite this diversity, members of the tribe share the following characters: 1) phragma of male genital capsule partly developed into sclerotized plates or setose bulbous lobes (exception: Acrolithus); 2) first valvula shape relatively straight; 3) first valvula dorsal sculpturing separated from dorsal margin by unsculptured band; 4) first valvula dorsal sculpturing pattern maculose, with maculae separate or only slightly overlapping, or granulose; 5) first valvula with distinctly delimited ventral sculptured area; and 6) second valvula without dorsal teeth. Two major clades within the tribe were resolved and strongly supported, consisting of (Bonamus, Tenucephalus) and (Hecalocorica, (Hecullus, (Acrolithus, (Ackbaria, (Aequcephalus, Dietrichana, Virganana, Clorindaia, Faltala (Kramerana, Paraclorindaia)))))). A stepwise evolution of brachyptery in the latter clade is suggested by the phylogeny, beginning with evolution of subbrachypterous females in Hecullus and Acrolithus and culminating in completely brachypterous males and females in the monophyletic “Faltala group” of eight genera. It is hypothesized that a transition from an ancestral forested habitat to an open or grassland habitat facilitated the evolution of brachyptery. The hindwings and associated thoracic structures of eight species of Faltalini and three other Deltocephalinae were imaged with SEM. Brachyptery in Cicadellidae and other insects are briefly reviewed and discussed considering the hypothesis proposed here.

Four new species of Mileewini, Mileewa clavata He & Yang, sp. nov., Mileewa rubricosta He & Yang, sp. nov., Mileewa quinquemaculata He & Yang, sp. nov. and Ujna liboensis He & Yang, sp. nov., are described and illustrated. A checklist of all Chinese Mileewini is provided.

Eighteen species of the Pacific leafhopper genus Hecaloidella Osborn, 1934 are described and illustrated and a key provided for their separation. The previously described species, H. nitida Osborn (type species) and H. brunnifacialis Shang & Zhang, and the following sixteen new species are treated: H. brunifasciata Zhang & Webb, H. bimaculata Zhang & Webb, H. borneoensis Zhang & Webb, H. brevis Zhang & Webb, H. brevipenis Zhang & Webb, H. brevispina Zhang & Webb, H. caudospina Zhang & Webb, H. knighti Zhang & Webb, H. longipenis Zhang & Webb, H. nudapenis Zhang & Webb, H. pacifica Zhang & Webb, H. quadripicta Zhang & Webb, H. quadrispina Zhang & Webb, H. sandakanensis Zhang & Webb, H. singaporensis Zhang & Webb and H. spinosa Zhang & Webb spp. nov..

In 2009, Jones and Deitz published a tribe-level taxonomic revision and reclassification of the cryptic, arboreal leafhopper subfamily Ledrinae Kirschbaum, 1868 (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae), based on cladistic analyses of 235 morphological features for 75 cicadellid species. Their evolutionary reconstructions found strong node support for a monophyletic ingroup comprising five lineages—each morphologically and geographically cohesive—and also identified numerous traditionally placed taxa (sensu Oman et al 1990) that did not belong. In light of the robustness of their results, the authors recognized the five independent ingroup clades as tribes of Ledrinae, and described three of these as new.

A new genus of the leafhopper tribe Idiocerini (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Eurymelinae) Longiaedeagus gen. nov. with type species Longiaedeagus flavofasciatus sp. nov. from China is described and illustrated. This new genus can be distinguished from other leafhopper genera by the broad style with truncate apex, and aedeagus with a long, unpaired retrorse preapical process.

One new genus of the tribe Ledrini, Yelahanka gen. nov. is described with Petalocephala granulosa Distant as its type species. The genus is characterised by the flexing of the forewing laterad of a strongly carinate or keeled outer claval vein and the claval veins fused in the distal two thirds. Seven new species, Yelahanka canaraica sp. nov. (India: Karnataka), Y. kodaiensis sp. nov. (India: Tamil Nadu), Y. montana sp. nov. (India: Tamil Nadu), Y. nepalica sp. nov. (Nepal), Y. sikkimensis sp. nov. (India: Sikkim), Y. shillongensis sp. nov. (India: Meghalaya) and Y. trifida sp. nov. (India: Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh) are described and illustrated. The following new combinations are proposed: Yelahanka bainbriggei (Distant) comb. nov., Y. granulosa (Distant) comb. nov., Y. punctata (Walker) comb. nov. and Y. tabulata (Distant) comb. nov.; originally punctata was placed in the genus Ledra Fabricius and remaining species were placed in Petalocephala Stål. Petalocephala bainbriggei Distant 1916 is treated as a junior synonym of Y. granulosa (Distant 1910) syn. nov. and P. tabulata Distant 1908 is treated as a junior synonym of Yelahanka punctata (Walker 1851) syn. nov. Y. granulosa is newly recorded from Africa (Tanzania and Kenya) and Malaya. Relationships of the new genus with other genera of Ledrini are discussed and a key to species of the genus is also provided.

A new bamboo-feeding species of the leafhopper genus Neurotettix Matsumura (Hemiptera, Cicadellidae, Deltocephalinae), Neurotettix spinas sp. nov. is described and illustrated from Guizhou Province, China. A checklist and a key to known species of the genus are also given, and a map showing the geographic distributions of all species of Neurotettix is also provided. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC).

Three new species, Macropsis dalhousiensis sp. nov. (India: Himachal Pradesh), M. krishna sp. nov. (India: Karnataka) and M. puttarudriahi sp. nov. (India: Arunachal Pradesh) are described and illustrated. M. krishna breeds on Acacia catechu and is actively attended by the ant Camponotus sp. in nymphal and adult stages. A checklist and a revised illustrated key to species of the genus for the Indian subcontinent are also given.

The leafhopper genus Stirellus is reviewed from Pakistan with the description and illustrations of a new species Stirellus pakhtunensis Shah & Duan sp. n. and four new records Stirellus capitatus n. rec., Stirellus indrus n. rec., Stirellus rotundus n. rec., Stirellus rubrolineatus n. rec. A checklist and key for the known species of Stirellus from Pakistan are also given.

Advikus gen. nov. and three new species, Advikus siddappaji sp. nov. (type species, India: Karnataka), A. andamanicus sp. nov. (India: Andaman & Nicobar Islands) and A. radhamaniae sp. nov. (India: Karnataka) are described and illustrated. A key to the known genera of the tribe Scaphoideini from the Indian subcontinent and also the three new species are provided. A lectotype for Gunghuyana cingalensis Distant is designated and the female type is redescribed and illustrated.

Scopogonalia is a leafhopper genus with 17 described species, all of them from South America. In this work, a phylogenetic analysis of the genus was conducted based on 59 morphological and colour pattern characters of head, thorax, abdomen, male and female genitalia. Analyses with equal weights resulted in 12 equally most parsimonious trees (length = 137) including a monophyletic Scopogonalia in all of them. An implied weights (k = 15) analysis recovered two trees, one of them equal to the one obtained with a single round successive weighting procedure, which was chosen for discussion. The trees support the existence of three main clades, which are here called Early Green Clade, Late Green Clade, and Yellow-Brown Clade. The origin and diversification of each clade is discussed under available biogeographical knowledge of South America. Little variation was observed in the female genitalia, but their characters were useful to reinforce the monophyly of the Yellow-Brown Clade, which we associate to ecological adaptations. This clade supports a past connection of the Cerrado biome and savannah enclaves in Amazonia and Atlantic Forest. This conclusion highlights the necessity of conserving this open vegetation environment inside the most fragmented portion of the Atlantic Forest, in northeastern Brazil.

Five new species of the leafhopper genus Limassolla Dlabola, Limassolla bicruralis, L. kunyica, L. uncata, L. nigropunctata, L. spinulata spp. nov., are described and illustrated and a key to separate males of those species is provided.

The sharpshooter genus Balacha Melichar, 1926 has seven recognized species and is distributed in southern South America (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay). Here, two new Brazilian species of this genus are described and illustrated, one (B. ancora sp. nov.) from Serra do Caraça and Serra do Cipó (Minas Gerais State) and another (B. nigroflava sp. nov.) from Ponta Grossa (Paraná State) and Passo Fundo (Rio Grande do Sul State). Based on 67 morphological characters, we carried out a parsimony analysis to estimate the phylogenetic position of the two new species. Using implied weighting in TNT, a single topology within Balacha was obtained with k values that varied from 1.599 to 7.412. In this topology, the two new taxa appeared within the clade of black Balacha species. A biogeographical analysis (S-DIVA) suggested that the ancestral area of distribution of Balacha was the Atlantic Forest domain. Balacha species were so far known to have only Eryngium (Apiaceae) species as host plants. Here we report a new host plant for the genus: B. ancora sp. nov. specimens were collected on Actinocephalus polyanthus (Eriocaulaceae). Balacha similis and B. rubripennis are newly recorded from Argentina and specimens of the latter have a very distinct color pattern from the typical Brazilian specimens. Finally, a key to species and maps showing the known distribution of the genus are given (several state records of species are also provided).

Recent collecting in northern Vietnam yielded specimens of several new leafhopper species, two of which represent new monotypic genera, and several additional species not previously recorded from Vietnam. The two new genera (Hochiminus n. gen. and Pseudocestius n. gen.) and 15 new species (Abrus digitatus n. sp., Aeternus ninhbinhensis n. sp., Drabescoides bispinosa n. sp., Tenompoella vietnamensis n. sp., Uzelina (Uzelina) vietnamensis sp. n., Hochiminhus tamdaoensis n. sp., Pseudocestius cucphuongensis n. sp., Phlogothamnus pseudorugosus n. sp., Scaphoidella albopunctata n. sp., Bundera onukiiformis n. sp., Carinata arcuata n. sp., Traiguma hamocauda n. sp., Signoretia tamdaoensis n. sp., Amrasca (Quartasca) curvata n. sp., Amrasca (Quartasca) excavata n. sp.) are described and illustrated and comparative notes are provided. An additional 28 species representing 20 genera are newly recorded from Vietnam. Most of the latter were previously recorded only from southern China. The enigmatic species, Tardrabassus pakneunensis Dai & Dietrich, previously known from two males collected in Laos in 1918, is newly recorded from Vietnam based on recently collected female specimens. The ovipositor structure of the female confirms placement of Tardrabassus in Iassinae. The female pregenital sternite and ovipositor of Hamulotettix ungulatus Dai & Zhang are also illustrated for the first time. A new synonymy is also proposed: Ujna consors Distant, 1908 equals Mileewa puerana Yang & Meng, 2010, n. syn.

Six Afrotropical genera of the leafhopper tribe Erythroneurini are redescribed and two new genera, Laminaris gen. nov. and Projecta gen. nov. are established. Sixteen new species are described and illustrated: Laminaris angusta sp. nov., Laminaris cuspidatima sp. nov., Laminaris serrata sp. nov., Laminaris tenuis sp. nov., Projecta auriculata sp. nov., Projecta brevis sp. nov., Projecta depressa sp. nov., Projecta draciformis sp. nov., Accacidia obunca sp. nov., Imbecilla bifurca sp. nov., Imbecilla spinalis sp. nov., Lublinia anchoroides sp. nov., Molopopterus hastata sp. nov., Molopopterus ugandica sp. nov., Lamtoana exigua sp. nov. and Nsesa cameroonica sp. nov. Nsesa Dworakowska, 1974 is newly recorded from Cameroon; Nsimbala Dworakowska, 1974 and Szymczakowskia Dworakowska, 1974 from the Central African Republic; Lublinia Dworakowska, 1970, Lamtoana Dworakowska, 1972 and Ivorycoasta Dworakowska, 1972 from the Republic of Congo. Keys to species of the genera Accacidia Dworakowska, Imbecilla Dworakowska, Lublinia Dworakowska, Molopopterus Jacobi, Lamtoana Dworakowska and Nsesa Dworakowska are also given.

A new Mexican leafhopper species, Amblysellus raygozai sp. nov., is described and illustrated from western Mexico. Specimens were collected over perennial grasses. A key for all recognized species within the country is provided.

The genus Empoasca comprises more than 600 species, many of them important pests of cultivated plants. The leafhopper Empoasca fabalis DeLong, 1930 is native to the tropical and subtropical regions of America. From here, it has successfully spread to most regions of the continent. Today its range extends from the southern United States, through Central America, and the West Indies to southern South America (Cusipuma & Sanchez 1993, DeLong 1930, Paradell et al. 1990, Poos & Wheeler 1949, Wolcott, 1948). Outside its native area, the species was more recently recorded in the Canary Islands (Lorenzo & Hermoso de Mendonza 2000) and Hawaii (Dietrich & Perreira 2019). Although it is still not known to occur in the European mainland, specimens were collected in 2000 on the island of La Palma (Spain) (Lorenzo & Hermoso de Mendonza, 2000). Until now, it was unknown on the island of Madeira and Portugal.

Three new Neotropical athysanine (Deltocephalinae) leafhopper genera, Spaltumtettix Pinedo-Escatel & Dietrich gen. nov., Pseudonapo Pinedo-Escatel & Dietrich gen. nov., and Goiattus Pinedo-Escatel gen. nov., and 4 new species, S. coloradus Pinedo-Escatel & Dietrich sp. nov. (Peru), P. waorani Pinedo-Escatel & Dietrich sp. nov. (Ecuador), P. huanucensis Pinedo-Escatel & Dietrich sp. nov. (Peru), and G. reyesi Pinedo-Escatel sp. nov. (Brazil), are described and illustrated. In addition, the genera Zabrosa Oman, Napo Linnavuori & DeLong, Pseudalaca Linnavuori and Brazosa Oman are revised and redescribed. Six new species are described in Brazosa: B. campinacu Pinedo-Escatel & Dietrich sp. nov. (Brazil), B. espatula Pinedo-Escatel & Dietrich sp. nov. (Brazil), B. encrustada Pinedo-Escatel & Dietrich sp. nov. (Brazil), B. mildredireanae Pinedo-Escatel sp. nov. (Peru), B. negra Pinedo-Escatel & Dietrich sp. nov. (Peru and Bolivia) and B. beni Pinedo-Escatel & Dietrich sp. nov. (Bolivia). Brazosa caesarea Linnavuori & Heller comb. nov. is transferred to Spaltumtettix. The South American species Z. aquareza Linnavuori & DeLong syn. nov. is proposed as junior synonym of Z. unicampi Menezes. Keys to species of each genus are provided. Unusual aspects of the morphology of these genera are discussed and a comparative table is provided.

The Mexican leafhopper genus and species Devolana hemicycla DeLong, 1967 syn. nov., is recognized as a junior synonym of Usanus stonei DeLong, 1947. Three previously described species, U. tuxcacuensis (Pinedo-Escatel & Aguilar-Pérez, 2019) comb. nov., U. youajla (Pinedo-Escatel, 2019) comb. nov., and U. xajxayakamej (Pinedo-Escatel, 2019) comb. nov. are transferred to Usanus. Two new species, U. xochipalensis sp. nov. and U. igualaensis sp. nov. from Guerrero, are described and illustrated. An updated key to all known species of Usanus is provided.

Three new species of the leafhopper genus Thagria from China, T. trifurcata sp. nov., T. denticosta sp. nov. and T. fimbriata sp. nov., are described, illustrated and photographed. In addition, T. lateralis Fan & Li, 2017 is placed as a new synonym of T. menglana Wang & Zhang, 2017.

In Russia, Kazakhstan, and Central Asia the genus Anaceratagallia includes 14 species from two subgenera; all species except one belong to the nominotypical subgenus and can be classified into four groups according to the structure of male genitalia. The illustrated descriptions for all species are given, with male calling signal oscillograms provided for nine species. Ten new synonyms are established. Comparative investigation of morphological and acoustic characters of Anaceratagallia species showed that small differences in the structure of male genitalia and 2nd abdominal apodemes are not species-specific traits. All species studied in nature appeared to be polyphagous feeding on different species of herbaceous dicotyledons. It is assumed that closely related species within each group of the subgenus Anaceratagallia arose as a result of allopatric speciation and became secondarily sympatric due to subsequent range expansions.

A new species Reticuluma bipennata sp. nov. from China is described and illustrated, and can be distinguished from other Reticuluma by the aedeagal shaft with a pair of wing-shaped processes on the lateral margin. A key to all species of the genus based on the features of males and a map showing the geographic distribution of the genus are given.

A new leafhopper species Watanabella curvatua sp. nov., is described and illustrated from Yunnan Province, China. New synonyms are revealed, Paramacrosteles Dai, Li & Chen, 2006 is a junior synonym of Watanabella Vilbaste, 1969 and Paramacrosteles nigromaculatus Dai, Li & Chen, 2006 is a junior synonym of Watanabella graminea Choe, 1981. A key is given to distinguish all species of the genus. The type specimen of the new species is deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC).

The genus Singapora Mahmood is reviewed with one new species from China, Singapora shiqianensis sp. nov.. Detailed morphological description, illustration of this new species and a key to all known species (males) from China are provided.

A new species of the leafhopper genus Pseudosubhimalus Ghauri (Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae: Cicadulini), Pseudosubhimalus pakistanicus sp. n., is described from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. Figures for habitus and genitalic characters are given for this new species and newly recorded species from Pakistan. A key to all the known species of the genus Pseudosubhimalus is provided.

Twelve new species in a new genus, Geelus gen.n. are described, 10 species from a confined area in the north- and south-western parts of South Africa and two from Namibia. The genus has been recorded from 35 plant species in 18 families, with one species Geelus dundraad collected on Rooibos Tea, Aspalathus linearis (Fabaceae), which is indigenous to South Africa and cultivated commercially. The 12 new species are Geelus driehoekdraad sp.n., G. drietanddraad sp.n., G. dundraad sp.n., G. haakdraad sp.n., G. kinkeldraad sp.n., G. lemdraad sp.n., G. nektanddraad sp.n., G. platdraad sp.n., G. slangdraad sp.n., G. stompdraad sp.n., G. viertanddraad and G. vurkdraad sp.n. This new genus is allied to the Bonaspeiini, in the Deltocephalinae based on the broad lorum, apically expanded clypellus, dorsal side of the pygofer deeply and broadly incised, large sclerotized segment X, smooth merging of face and crown and Y-shaped connective with short stem. A MaxEnt distribution model based on 19 bioclimatic variables confirmed that the South African species occur within a confined region in the south-western parts of southern Africa.

The leafhopper genus Stirellus Osborn & Ball is revised from Pakistan with the description and illustrations of a new species Stirellus mankiensis Shah & Duan sp. n. and a new record Stirellus tolla n. rec. to Pakistan. A checklist and key for the known species of Stirellus from Pakistan are also given in the present study.

A new leafhopper species Daochia fenestrata sp. nov. (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae: Stegelytrini) from China is described with habitus photos and illustrations of male and female genitalia provided. In addition to its large and spectacular appearance the new species is unusual in having a transparent ‘window-like’ patch on the forewing. Another large, spectacularly marked species, Honguchia superba Wei & Webb, 2010, from Sumatra (Indonesia) is transferred to Daochia as D. superba comb. nov.. A checklist and key to Chinese genera of Stegelytrini are provided.

Two new species of the bamboo-feeding leafhopper genus Flatfronta, F. dibangi sp. nov. (Arunachal Pradesh: Basar) and F. uttara sp. nov. (Uttarakhand: Pantnagar) are described and illustrated from India. A checklist and a key to known species of the genus are also provided. Types are deposited in the National Pusa Collection (NPC), Division of Entomology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, India.

The leafhopper genus Takagioma Thapa, 1989 is recorded from China for the first time. Six species, T. pagoda Kang and Zhang, T. rostra Qin and Huang, T. gladius Kang and Zhang, T. curvata Kang and Zhang, T. anguis Qin and Huang and T. longicuada Qin and Huang spp. nov, are described and illustrated. A check-list and a key to all species of Takagioma are provided.

A new genus Dolichocaudus gen. n. with two new species, D. acicephalus sp. n. and D. brevicephalus sp. n., is described and illustrated based on specimens from China and Thailand. This new genus differs from the closely related genera Transvenosus Wang & Zhang and Cunedda Distant in having a larger body, digitiform male pygofer apex, strongly elevated and keel-like median longitudinal carina of the crown and indistinctively inflated anteclypeus, and front femur row AV with 6 enlarged basal setae.

Two new species of Regalana DeLong & Freytag, 1975 are described and illustrated: Regalana jamari sp. nov. and Regalana madeira sp. nov., both from State of Rondônia, Northern Brazil. Delongiana gen. nov. is described within Gyponini, based on two new species from Brazil: Delongiana ramosa sp. nov., designated as type-species, from Minas Gerais and Paraná states and Delongiana baiana sp. nov. from Bahia and Rio de Janeiro states. The new genus can be distinguished from other Gyponini genera based on the combination of the following features: crown slightly produced, parallel striated; crown-face transition distinct, thick and striated; male pygofer with an oblique integument thickening near dorsal margin; subgenital plate very narrow and elongated; connective Y-shaped; style elongated with apex foot-shaped; aedeagus with dorsal apodemes strongly developed, shaft cylindrical and curved dorsally, with processes near mid-length and without apical processes. Additionally, new country records are given for Regalana bobbyi and R. dianae and state records to R. sheilae.
