A new subgenus of Euconnus Thomson, Chenzhilinus subgen. nov., is erected for E. (C.) huapingensis sp. nov. collected from Huaping National Nature Reserve in the southern Chinese province of Guangxi. The new subgenus is morphologically most similar to Euconnus s. str. and appears to represent a derived form of the nominotypical subgenus. Chenzhilinus is primarily characterized by two putatively apomorphic traits: the submentum is clearly demarcated laterally by an additional pair of posteriorly convergent hypostomal carinae; and the aedeagus is devoid of parameres.

The genus Morphostenophanes Pic, 1925 is redefined and revised. Seventeen new species and three new subspecies are described, including M. aenescens yelang Zhou, new subspecies, M. bannaensis Zhou, new species, M. brevigaster Zhou, new species, M. chongli Zhou, new species, M. crassus Zhou, new species, M. furvus Zhou, new species, M. furvus weishanus Zhou, new subspecies, M. gaoligongensis Zhou, new species, M. iridescens Zhou, new species, M. lincangensis Zhou, new species, M. linglong Zhou, new species, M. metallicus Zhou, new species, M. minor, Zhou, new species, M. planus Zhou, new species, M. purpurascens Zhou, new species, M. sinicus Zhou, new species, and M. yunnanus Zhou, new species from Yunnan, China; M. chongli glaber Zhou, new subspecies from Yunnan, China and North Vietnam; M. curvitibialis Zhou, new species from Guangxi, China, and M. luoxiaoshanus Zhou, new species from Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi, China. M. birmanicus (Kaszab, 1980) is recorded from China (Yunnan) for the first time. M. papillatus Kaszab, 1941 is firstly recorded from Yunnan and Sichuan, China. Two poorly known species, M. aenescens Pic, 1925 and M. vietnamicus Kaszab, 1980 are redescribed. Male of M. atavus (Kaszab, 1960) is described in detail. Misidentifications of M. aenescens Pic. 1925 and M. atavus (Kaszab, 1960) in previous works are corrected. Six species groups are proposed. A species catalog, identification key and distributional maps for the genus are given.

Laena hongqiao sp. n. is described from Shanghai. This discovery expands the provincial distribution of the huge tenebrionid genus Laena in mainland China, and enriches the knowledge of the species diversity in Shanghai. A key modified from Schawaller 2008 and Wei Ren 2018 is provided to include this new species.

A new species of the genus Horaeomorphus Schaufuss, H. xiweii Zhou Yin, sp. n., is described from Yunnan, southwestern China, and a new country record for H. solodovnikovi Jałoszyński is given (i.e., China). Diagnostic features of both species are illustrated.

A new species of the ant-like stone beetle genus Syndicus Motschulsky, S. (Semisyndicus) long Zhou & Yin, sp. n., is described from Yunnan, southern China. New collecting data of Syndicus (s. str.) himalayanus Franz in China is provided. At present, eight Syndicus species are known to occur in China. An identification key and a distributional map for these species are presented.

Horaeomorphus bicornis sp. n., a remarkable species with strongly modified head from Yunnan, Southwest China is described. A distinctly different female from the same locality is also recorded, its identity remains unconfirmed until associated males become available. The previously unknown female of H. hujiayaoi Zhou & Zhang, 2016, is discovered, with its spermatheca and female terminalia illustrated. Horaeomorphus punctatissimus Franz, 1992 is newly recorded from Mount Trus Madi, Malaysia. Two females of H. eumicroides Schaufuss, 1889 were discovered from Singapore, with female terminalia illustrated.

Two new species of the ant-like stone beetle genus Neuraphes Thomson, 1859 (Scydmaeninae: Glandulariini) from Sichuan Province are described: N. (Pararaphes) shu sp. n. and N. (Pararaphes) xilingensis sp. n., their aedeagi are illustrated. A single female of the nominotypical subgenus from Heilongjiang Province is also recorded.

The first species of the mastigite genus Clidicus Laporte (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Scydmaeninae) from China is described, under the name of Clidicus chinensis n. sp. The type material has been collected in Jianfengling (Hainan prov.); the habitus, aedeagus and spermatheca of the new species are illustrated.
