The spider family Pholcidae C.L. Koch, 1850 exhibits high diversity at generic level and currently contains 95 genera while the subfamily Arteminae Simon, 1893 contains only eight genera. In this study, a new genus, Changminia Yao & Li gen. nov. from karst caves in Southeast Asia, is described and assigned to Arteminae, with the type species Changminia huangdi (Tong & Li, 2009) comb. nov. (Hainan Island, South China) and one additional new species Changminia dao Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female; Prachuap Kiri Khan, Central Thailand).

Two new species of the genus Sinamma Lin & Li, 2014, Sinamma quadrata Tong & Li, sp. nov. (male, female) and Sinamma yingae Tong & Li, sp. nov. (male, female) are described from Guangdong, China. The geographic distribution of the genus is updated and a key to all known species is provided.

Four new species belonging to Leptonetela Kratochvíl, 1978 and one new species belonging to Rhyssoleptoneta Tong & Li, 2007 are described from China: Leptonetela martensi spec. nov. (Guizhou; male, female), L. taixu spec. nov. (Guizhou; male, female), L. xianwu spec. nov. (Hubei; male, female), L. xinglong spec. nov. (Guizhou; male, female), and Rhyssoleptoneta aosen spec. nov. (Beijing; male, female). These new species bring the total number of Leptonetela to 117 species and Rhyssoleptoneta to 2 species worldwide.

Three new species of the extinct spider genus †Furcembolus Wunderlich, 2008 from Late Cretaceous Burmese amber are described: Furcembolus chuandiani Jiang & Li spec. nov., F. fengzheni Jiang & Li spec. nov. and F. martensi Jiang & Li spec. nov. All types are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China.

The spider family Pholcidae C.L. Koch, 1850 exhibits high diversity at generic level and currently contains 94 genera. In this study, one new genus Tangguoa Yao & Li gen. nov. from southern China is described with the type species T. laibin Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female; Guangxi) and one additional species T. tongguling Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female; Hainan).

The genus Phlogiellus Pocock, 1897 of the spider family Theraphosidae Thorell, 1869 includes 25 species from Southeast Asia, of which three have been recorded in China (Li 2020): P. bogadeki Nunn, West & von Wirth, 2016 and P. xinping (Zhu & Zhang, 2008) from Hong Kong and P. watasei (Kishida, 1920) from Taiwan. Here, we describe a new Phlogiellus species from Hainan, China: P. quanyui sp. nov.

Althepus pictus Thorell, 1898 is the type species of the genus Althepus Thorell, 1898 from the family Psilodercidae Machado, 1951. This genus includes 60 species from Southeast Asia (WSC 2020). A. pictus was described on the basis of one male and one female from Carin Chebà mountains, elevation 600‒800 m, Kayin Province, Myanmar. Another female specimen lacking several legs was found in Farm Caves in Mawlamyine, Mon State, Myanmar. The original description was in Latin and without any figures. Fage (1912) redescribed it based on the same male and female type specimens from Carin Chebà, but without mentioning the female from Farm Caves. Fage (1912) provided measurements, but the figures of the male right palp are imprecise. The species is redescribed here based on the original male and female type specimens deposited in Museo Civico di Storia Naturale ‘Giacomo Doria’ (MSNG) in Italy. The male and female type specimens are the only known material of A. pictus. No information is available on the female specimen from Farm Caves, which maybe have been lost. No fresh material of this species has been collected in region during five subsequent expeditions to Myanmar tours organized by the Southeast Asia Biodiversity Research Institute in the years 2016–2020.

The genus Pholcus Walckenaer, 1805 is reported from Pakistan for the first time. Two new species of the Pholcus nenjukovi species-group are described: Pholcus hamuchal Yao & Li sp. nov. (Gilgit Baltistan, male and female) and Pholcus kalam Yao & Li sp. nov. (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, male and female). Type material is deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IZCAS) in Beijing, China.

The genus Belisana Thorell, 1898 is diverse in southern China. In this study, six new species are described and illustrated: Belisana guilin sp. nov. (Guangxi; male, female), Belisana maoer sp. nov. (Sichuan; male, female), Belisana naling sp. nov. (Guangxi; male, female), Belisana xiyuan sp. nov. (Fujian; male, female), Belisana xuanguan sp. nov. (Guangxi; male) and Belisana yuexiu sp. nov. (Guangdong; male). In addition, Belisana is reported from Sichuan for the first time.

Two new species of the spider genus Wanniyala Huber & Benjamin, 2005 are described from Sri Lanka: W. badulla sp. nov. (Uva Province; male and female) and W. batatota sp. nov. (Sabaragamuwa Province; male and female). In addition, new records of W. mudita Huber, 2019 (Western Province; male) and W. viharekele Huber, 2019 (Southern Province; male and female) are provided.

The genus Pholcus Walckenaer, 1805 is composed of 21 species-groups and the P. yichengicus species-group contains 35 species from central and southern China, and Thailand. In this study, two new species of the P. yichengicus species-group are described from southern China: Pholcus jingnan Yao & Li sp. nov. (Guizhou, male and female) and Pholcus longlin Yao & Li sp. nov. (Guangxi, male and female).

The spider genus Desis Walckenaer, 1837 is the type genus of the spider family Desidae Pocock, 1895. Desis spiders hide in silk sacs between rocks or shells during high tide and forage during low tide (Baehr et al. 2017). Four Desis species have been recorded from Asia: Desis gardineri Pocock, 1904 (India), Desis inermis Gravely, 1927 (India), Desis japonica Yaginuma, 1956 (Japan) and Desis martensi L. Koch, 1872 (Malaysia) (World Spider Catalog 2020). Until now, only one species of the family Desidae, Badumna tangae Zhu, Zhang & Yang, 2006, has been reported from China (Zhu et al. 2006). Here, we describe a new species of Desis and report the genus from China for the first time.

Three new species of the spider genus Belisana Thorell, 1898 are described based on material collected in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China: Belisana mengla Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female), Belisana menglun Yao & Li sp. nov. (male), and Belisana mengyang Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female), bringing the total Belisana fauna of Xishuangbanna to 12 species.

A new genus of the subfamily Coelotinae F.O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1893, Vappolotes Zhao et S. Li gen. n., with two new species, V. ganlongensis Zhao et S. Li sp. n. (♂♀) and V. jianpingensis Zhao et S. Li sp. n. (♀), is described. The genus is restricted to southern China (Guizhou). Its relationship to other coelotine genera is discussed. A partial fragment of the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I of both species were obtained to aid species identification at the molecular level.

Eight new species of the genus Khorata Huber, 2005 are reported from China: Khorata dawei Yao & Li sp. nov. (Yunnan), K. libo Yao & Li sp. nov. (Guizhou), K. luoping Yao & Li sp. nov. (Yunnan), K. matang Yao & Li sp. nov. (Yunnan), K. qian Yao & Li sp. nov. (Guizhou), K. suwei Yao & Li sp. nov. (Guangxi), K. wenshan Yao & Li sp. nov. (Yunnan), K. yangchun Yao & Li sp. nov. (Guangdong). All new species are described from males and females. Type material is deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IZCAS) in Beijing, China.

A further study of the spider genus Clubiona Latreille, 1804 from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China is presented. A total of ten species, eight of which new to science, are here addressed, raising from 18 to 27 the number of species of the genus known to the area. Clubiona didentata Zhang & Yin, 1998 is redescribed based on new specimens from type locality, with the first description of the female. C. kai Jäger & Dankittipakul, 2010 is newly recorded from China, and the female is reported for the first time. Seven of the new species here described belongs to four species groups: C. cochlearis sp. nov. (♂) and C. tiane sp. nov. (♂) from the C. corticalis species-group; C. tongi sp. nov. (♂♀) from the C. hystrix species-group; C. yueya sp. nov. (♂♀) and C. zhanggureni sp. nov. (♂) from the C. japonica species-group; and C. bicornis sp. nov. (♂) and C. subasrevida sp. nov. (♂♀) from the C. trivialis species-group. The eighth new species, C. jiandan sp. nov. (♂♀) is not readily assignable to any of the existing species groups.

Only nine species of the spider family Pholcidae C.L. Koch, 1850 are endemic in Kenya. In this study, three new species from Taita-Taveta County, southern Kenya are reported. They belong to two genera of the pholcid spiders: Buitinga qingyuani Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female), B. wamitii Yao & Li sp. nov. (male), and Smeringopus voi Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female). All material studied is deposited in the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) in Nairobi, Kenya.

Four new species of Lineacoelotes Xu, Li & Wang, 2008 are described from morphological features: L. lifengyuanae sp. n. (male and female) from Chongqing Municipality, and L. tiantaiensis sp. n. (female), L. zhongbaensis sp. n. (male and female), and L. ziboensis sp. n. (male and female) from Shaanxi Province, China.

Two new species of the spider genus Belisana Thorell, 1898 are described based on material collected in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China: Belisana menghai Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female) and Belisana xishuangbanna Yao & Li sp. nov. (male), bringing the total Chinese Belisana fauna to 41 species. The DNA barcode COI of B. menghai Yao & Li sp. nov. is documented. All material studied is deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IZCAS) in Beijing, China.

Five new species of the genus Khorata Huber, 2005 are reported from Vietnam: Khorata bachma Yao & Li sp. nov. (Thua Thien-Hue), K. cucphuong Yao & Li sp. nov. (Ninh Binh), K. vinhphuc Yao & Li sp. nov. (Vinh Phuc), K. palace Yao & Li sp. nov. (Ninh Binh) and K. quangbinh Yao & Li sp. nov. (Quang Binh). Type material is deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IZCAS) in Beijing, China.

Sixteen new Althepus species of the spider family Ochyroceratidae are reported from Southeast Asia: A. bamensis Li et Li sp. nov., A. changmao Li et Li sp. nov., A. dongnaiensis Li et Li sp. nov., A. guan Li et Li sp. nov., A. maechamensis Li et Li sp. nov., A. menglaensis Li et Li sp. nov., A. naphongensis Li et Li sp. nov., A. natmataungensis Li et Li sp. nov. (male only), A. phadaengensis Li et Li sp. nov., A. shanhu Li et Li sp. nov., A. suayaiensis Li et Li sp. nov. (male only), A. tadetuensis Li et Li sp. nov., A. tanhuang Li et Li sp. nov., A. thanlaensis Li et Li sp. nov., A. tharnlodensis Li et Li sp. nov. (female only), and A. viengkeoensis Li et Li sp. nov.

Two new genera of Coelotinae F.O.Pickard-Cambridge, 1893 from Southwest China are described: Nuconarius Z. Zhao & S. Li gen. n. and Hengconarius Z. Zhao & S. Li gen. n. The type species of Nuconarius Z. Zhao & S. Li gen. n. is N. brevipatellatus Z. Zhao & S. Li sp. n. and two additional species also belong here: N. capitulatus (Wang, 2003) comb. n. and N. pseudocapitulatus (Wang, 2003) comb. n. The type species of Hengconarius Z. Zhao & S. Li gen. n. is H. exilis (Zhang, Zhu & Wang, 2005) comb. n. and this genus includes seven additional species: H. dedaensis Z. Zhao & S. Li sp. n., H. falcatus (Xu & Li, 2006) comb. n., H. incertus (Wang, 2003) comb. n., H. latusincertus (Wang, Griswold & Miller, 2010) comb. n., H. longipalpus Z. Zhao & S. Li sp. n., H. longpuensis Z. Zhao & S. Li sp. n. and H. pseudobrunneus (Wang, 2003) comb. n. All species are from Southwest China and their distributions are mapped. New combinations are all ex-Draconarius Ovtchinnikov, 1999. The male of N. capitulatus is matched correctly for the first time and the DNA barcodes of all species are documented.

Five new species of the spider genus Belisana Thorell, 1898 are described based on material collected in the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (Yunnan, China). They are: B. dian Yao & Li sp. nov. (male), B. gupian Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female), B. chenjini Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female), B. xtbg Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female), and B. yangxiaodongi Yao & Li sp. nov. (male, female). B. schwendingeri Huber, 2005 and B. zhengi Yao, Pham & Li, 2015 are reported from China for the first time. All material studied is deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IZCAS) in Beijing, China.

Five new species from four species-groups of the genus Pholcus Walckenaer, 1805 are described from China and Thailand: P. sakaew Yao & Li sp. nov. (Thailand) from the P. bidentatus species-group; P. umphang Yao & Li sp. nov. (Thailand) from the P. halabala species-group; P. ningan Yao & Li sp. nov. (China) from the P. phungiformes species-group; and P. yongshun Yao & Li sp. nov. (China) and P. yuxi Yao & Li sp. nov. (China), both from the P. yichengicus species-group.

The crab spiders (Araneae: Thomisidae) collected from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China are studied. A total of 34 genera and 62 species are reported, including 2 new genera and 23 new species: Micromisumenops gen. nov. of the tribe Misumenini Simon, 1895 (type species Misumenops xiushanensis Song and Chai, 1990), Spilosynema gen. nov. of the tribe Talaini Simon, 1895 (type species S. ansatum sp. nov.); Heriaeus concavus sp. nov., H. convexus sp. nov., Indoxysticus lumbricus sp. nov., Lycopus cha sp. nov., L. tabulatus sp. nov., Massuria bandian sp. nov., M. ovalis sp. nov., Mastira serrula sp. nov., Ozyptila imbrex sp. nov., Paraborboropactus canalis sp. nov., Phrynarachne brevis sp. nov., P. lancea sp. nov., Pistius rotundus sp. nov., Smodicinodes yaoi sp. nov., Spilosynema ansatum sp. nov., S. comminum sp. nov., S. mancum sp. nov., S. ravum sp. nov., Synema revolutum sp. nov., Takachihoa lamellaris sp. nov., T. tumida sp. nov., Talaus sulcus sp. nov., Tmarus gladiatus sp. nov. Male Epidius bazarus (Tikader, 1970), male Paraborboropactus rhombus Tang and Li, 2009, female Smodicinodes schwendingeri Benjamin, 2002 are described for the first time.

Oonopidae are very small (1–3 mm), haplogyne spiders that occur throughout the temperate and tropical regions of the world (Ubick 2005). Recently, a series of papers on the Oonopidae of Hainan Island was published (Tong & Li 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012). Endowed with a wealth of natural resources that include tropical forests, mountains, mangroves, and beaches, Hainanis recognized as one of the most biologically diverse regions in the world (Ouyang et al. 2001). At present, a total of six genera and 28 species of oonopids have been recorded fromHainan (Platnick 2012).

Spider family Hahniidae was firstly recorded from Vietnamin the present paper. In total, three genera and five species were recorded in three national parks of Northern Vietnam: Alistra hamata sp. nov. (male), Hahnia himalayaensis Hu & Zhang, 1990 (male, female), H. rimiformis sp. nov. (male, female), H. zhejiangensis Song & Zheng, 1982 (male, female) and Scotospilus longus sp. nov. (male, female). Morphological illustrations and photos of new species as well as descrip-tions and copulatory organs’ photos of known species are given. The genus Scotospilus and the position of S. longus sp. nov. are discussed.

The Southeast Asian pholcids Belisana tauricornis Thorell, 1898, Pholcus gracillimus Thorell, 1890, P. quinquenotatus Thorell, 1878 and Spermophora thorelli Roewer, 1942 are redescribed on the basis of the type material.

The spider family Anapidae is reported from Laos for the first time. One new species is described: Pseudanapis namkhan n. sp. from Nam Khan Valley, Luang Prabang Province. Another species is recorded for the first time from Champasak Province, Laos and the following new synonymy is proposed: Sinanapis thaleri Ono 2009 = Sinanapis crassitarsus Wunderlich & Song 1995 n. syn. Morphological descriptions, diagnoses and comparative illustrations are provided for the two species.

Eleven new Althepus species of the spider family Ochyroceratidae are reported from Thailand: A. duan sp. nov., A. duoji sp. nov. (male only), A. huoyan sp. nov., A. jiandan sp. nov., A. kuan sp. nov., A. lakmueangensis sp. nov., A. languensis sp. nov., A. muangensis sp. nov., A. qiqiu sp. nov. (female only), A. tuqi sp. nov., A. xianxi sp. nov. All types are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China (IZCAS).

Three new species of pimoid spiders from Sichuan, China are described and illustrated: Pimoa lata sp. nov., Weintrauboa plana sp. nov. and W. pollex sp. nov. Detailed morphological descriptions and illustrations of all three new species are given.

Four new and three known crab spider species of the genus Tmarus are reported from the Xishuangbanna Rainforest of Yunnan, China: T. byssinus sp. nov., T. hastatus sp. nov. male only), T. spicatus sp. nov. (female only), T. undatus sp. nov. (female only), T. menglae Song and Zhao, 1994, T. songi Han and Zhu, 2008 and T. taiwanus Ono, 1977. The male of T. menglae is described for the first time. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing.

Five new species of the spider family Symphytognathidae (Araneae) are described and illustrated from southern China: Patu bicorniventris spec. nov., P. nigeri spec. nov., P. quadriventris spec. nov., P. shiluensis spec. nov. and P. spinathoraxi spec. nov. These spiders were collected in the leaf litter and tree canopy of tropical rainforests by sieving and fogging. The genus Patu Marples, 1951, known from Colombia, Hispaniola, Oceania, and African Seychelles Islands, except that web structure and web-building behavior of undescribed Patu species were reported before, is described from Asia for the first time.

Three new species and one newly recorded species of the genera Gamasomorpha and Xestaspis collected from Hainan Island, China, are diagnosed, described and illustrated: Gamasomorpha comosa sp. nov., Gamasomorpha virgulata sp. nov., Xestaspis loricata (L. Koch, 1873) and Xestaspis rostrata sp. nov. The genus Xestaspis is firstly recorded from China. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IZCAS).

Besides the genus Olios Walckenaer, 1837, Heteropoda Latreille, 1804 is the most diverse genus in the spider family Sparassidae. Currently, a total of 192 Heteropoda species are known, among them 13 from China (Platnick 2008). In the current paper, the female of Heteropoda squamacea Wang, 1990 is described for the first time. The previously proposed female of H. squamacea appeared to be a misidentification of H. venatoria (Linnaeus, 1767) (Jäger & Yin 2001). Another female paratype of H. squamacea falls into the variation scheme of H. tetrica Thorell, 1897 (Eusemann & Jäger, in press) and most likely belongs to this species. Due to congruence of palpal structure, especially the bifurcated tip of the conductor, H. bifurcuta Wang, Chen & Zhu, 2002 (not: H. bifurcula; contra Platnick 2008) is considered as a junior synonym of H. squamacea.

Two new species of Solenysa Simon, 1894 from Japan are described, i. e. Solenysa reflexilis sp. nov. and Solenysa partibilis sp. nov. The differences of the genitalic structures between both new species and related species are studied.

Four new species of the family Ochyroceratidae are described from Southwest China: Althepus christae sp. nov., Lecler- cera undulatus sp. nov., Psiloderces incomptus sp. nov. from Yunnan; and P. exilis sp. nov. from Guangxi. The four spe- cies belong to the subfamily Psilodercinae.

The genus Pseudopoda Jäger, 2000 is revised from material collected in Sichuan province. A molecular analysis shows the utility of DNA markers to support taxonomic hypotheses in Sparassidae. Two new species are described: Pseudopoda coenobium spec. nov. from Emeishan (male, female) and Pseudopoda wu spec. nov. from Lugu Lake at the border to Yunnan (male, female). The latter species exhibits a unique reduction of the conductor and a strongly developed embolus. The female of Pseudopoda virgata (Fox, 1936) is described for the first time, the male is redescribed, the known range of the geographical distribution is considerably extended to the East (Baoxing and Tienqiang County), the vertical distribution range is extended from 300 m to slightly more than 2000 m. The male of Pseudopoda signata Jäger, 2001 is described for the first time, the female is redescribed, the known distribution range of this species is extended from Muge Cuo Lake over Kangding town to the valleys of Paomashan, Gonggashan and Yanzi. It shows a strong morphological variation, which may be interpreted as developing subspecies status in different valleys. However, according to results from a molecular analysis it is clearly considered intraspecific variability. Three further species are recorded from Sichuan: Pseudopoda emei Zhang et al., 2013, Pseudopoda sp. cf. yunnanensis (YangHu, 2001) and Pseudopoda rivicola Jäger and Vedel, 2007.

Two new species of the genus Trilacuna TongLi, T. hamata sp. nov. and T. sinuosa sp. nov., are described from Tam Dao National Park, Vietnam.

Five genera and nine species of oonopid spiders are recorded from Laos, including six new species: Gamasomorpha comosa TongLi, 2009, Ischnothyreus corollacous sp. nov., Ischnothyreus tadetu sp. nov., Ischnothyreus tadfane sp. nov., Opopaea cornuta YinWang, 1984, Opopaea lemniscata sp. nov., Opopaea tumida sp. nov., Xestaspis loricata (L. Koch, 1873), and Xyphinus pakse sp. nov.

Ten new species of the genus Gammarus are described from Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, Southwest China, including Gammarus amabilis sp. nov., G. citatus sp. nov., G. echinatus sp. nov., G. egregius sp. nov., G. eliquatus sp. nov., G. hirtellussp. nov., G. margcomosus sp. nov., G. rivalis sp. nov., G. silendus sp. nov. and G. tranquillus sp. nov. Four of them are stygobite and with no eyes. Detailed illustrations and comparisons with related species are presented. A key to all species from Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau are given.

Five genera and 26 species belonging to two subfamilies Arteminae Simon, 1893 (one genus and one species) and Pholcinae C.L. Koch, 1850 (four genera and 25 species) are reported from northern Vietnam, including 19 new species of three genera: Belisana babensis sp. nov. (male, female; Bac Kan), B. cheni sp. nov. (male, female; Bac Kan), B. clavata sp. nov. (male; Ha Giang), B. curva sp. nov. (male; Vinh Phuc), B. decora sp. nov. (male, female; Ninh Binh), B. halongensis sp. nov. (male; Quang Ninh), B. phungae sp. nov. (male, female; Bac Kan), B. pisinna sp. nov. (male; Quang Ninh), B. triangula sp. nov. (male; Phu Tho), B. vietnamensis sp. nov. (male, female; Ninh Binh), B. zhengi sp. nov. (male; Vinh Phuc), Khorata dangi sp. nov. (male; Bac Kan), K. huberi sp. nov. (male, female; Bac Kan), K. protumida sp. nov. (male, female; Quang Binh), Pholcus bifidus sp. nov. (male, female; Quang Binh), P. caecus sp. nov. (male, female; Quang Binh), P. hochiminhi sp. nov. (male, female; Quang Ninh), P. phami sp. nov. (male, female; Bac Kan), and P. zhaoi sp. nov. (male; Ninh Binh). One genus Khorata Huber, 2005 and five species Belisana schwendingeri Huber, 2005, B. sepaku Huber, 2005, Khorata digitata YaoLi, 2010, Leptopholcus podophthalmus (Simon, 1893), and Pholcus bangfai Huber, 2011 are reported from Vietnam for the first time. Additional new records are given for two species Leptopholcus huongson Huber, 2011 and Physocyclus globosus (Taczanowski, 1874).

Two new genera of the spider family Salticidae, Corusca gen. nov. and Insula gen. nov., are described. Nine new species of the genus Corusca gen. nov. and 11 new species of the genus Insula gen. nov. are reported from Hainan, Southern China: Corusca acris sp. nov. (male), C. bawangensis sp. nov. (male and female), I. scutata sp. nov. (male and female), I. squamata sp. nov. (male and female), I. tumida sp. nov. (male and female), I. uncinata sp. nov. (male and female). The males of two known species, Corusca liaoi (PengLi, 2006) and Insula maculata (PengKim, 1997), which are transferred from Eupoa, are reported for the first time.

The spider family Mysmenidae is reported from Vietnam for the first time. Both sexes of three new species are described: Calodipoena tamdaoensis n. sp. from Tam Dao National Park, Gaoligonga taeniata n. sp. and Mysmena maculosa n. sp. from Cuc Phuong National Park. Morphological descriptions, diagnoses and comparative illustrations are provided.

Four new species belonging to four genera of the subfamily Pholcinae are reported from Southeast Asia: Belisana protumida spec. nov. (male, female), Khorata bayeri spec. nov. (male), Pholcus schawalleri spec. nov. (male), and Uthina khaosokensis spec. nov. (male).

Five new Althepus species and one new Psiloderces species of the family Ochyroceratidae are described from Southeast Asia: Althepus erectus spec. nov. (male) and A. nophaseudi spec. nov. (male, female) from Laos, A. flabellaris spec. nov. (male, female) from Thailand, A. reduncus spec. nov. (male) from Myanmar, A. spiralis spec. nov. (male) from Malaysia, and Psiloderces dicellocerus spec. nov. (male) from Indonesia. Primary types are deposited in the Senckenberg Research Institute in Frankfurt, Germany (SMF).

Nine new species of the family Nesticidae, collected from caves in Guangxi, Guizhou, Henan and Yunnan Provinces of China, are diagnosed, described and illustrated: Nesticella apiculata n. sp., Nesticella arcuata n. sp., Nesticella falcata n. sp., Nesticella gracilenta n. sp., Nesticella semicircularis n. sp., Nesticella shanlinensis n. sp., Nesticella verticalis n. sp., Nesticus globosus n. sp. and Nesticus navicellatus n. sp. Nesticella mogera (Yaginuma, 1972), from Guizhou, is described and compared to the new species.

Spider family Hahniidae was firstly recorded from Vietnamin the present paper. In total, three genera and five species were recorded in three national parks of Northern Vietnam: Alistra hamata sp. nov. (male), Hahnia himalayaensis HuZhang, 1990 (male, female), H. rimiformis sp. nov. (male, female), H. zhejiangensis SongZheng, 1982 (male, female) and Scotospilus longus sp. nov. (male, female). Morphological illustrations and photos of new species as well as descriptions and copulatory organs' photos of known species are given. The genus Scotospilus and the position of S. longus sp. nov. are discussed.

The Southeast Asian pholcids Belisana tauricornis Thorell, 1898, Pholcus gracillimus Thorell, 1890, P. quinquenotatus Thorell, 1878 and Spermophora thorelli Roewer, 1942 are redescribed on the basis of the type material.
