- Abstract
The relationship between composite proportion of composite self-twisted yarn and its mechanical properties is studied based on the research method on the relationship of the blending ratio of blended yarn and its mechanical properties. Respectively by curve fitting of testing data of breaking strength and elongation for acrylic/polyester, wool/polyester, ramie/polyester composite self-twisted yarns, fitting correlation coefficient minimum value is 0 . 9 4 , the rest value range is in 0 . 9 9 ~ 1.00, therefore the fitting curve can be used to predict the strength and elongation of composite self-twisted yarns. Through the analysis of the theoretical curve of the strength and elongation for acrylic/polyester, wool/polyester, ramie/polyester composite self-twisted yarns, it is obtained for the composite proportions of the three kinds of composite self-twisted yarns. For acrylic/polyester composite self-twisted yarn it can be in any composite proportion, for wool/polyester composite self-twisted yarn the polyester content should reach more than 6 0% and for ramie/polyester composite self-twisted yarn the polyester content is more than 7 0% so that the yarn properties can meet the processing requirements.
