The article presents questions and answers on issues related to woodworking. When asked about what respirator should the average woodworker wear in a small shop where there is no filtering of air, it is said that majority of masks are more than adequate for providing good respiratory protection for small-shop woodworkers. Inexpensive disposable dust masks made from cloth-like paper are soft and light in weight, which makes them comfortable to wear for long periods of time. To solve the difficulty in getting the end sections to line up for joining the handles and hardware while turning walking sticks it is said that getting proper alignment when boring in end grain is extremely difficult. The bit will often wander away from center in the end grain. Whenever possible, do the boring before turning the stock, and then mount the turning center on the bore itself.
