Abstract

A method for calculating the stress–strain state and the service life of hardfaced components subjected to the simultaneous effect of cyclic thermal and mechanical loading has been proposed. This method can be used to study the history of loading at every point of the hardfaced component, select the appropriate fracture models and use these models to localize the areas of failure and estimate the service life of the hardfaced component in service.
