Abstract
The British Cattle Veterinary Association (BCVA) hosted a one-day meeting on bovine tuberculosis in Bristol last month. The BCVA president, Mr Andrew Biggs, opened the meeting by drawing attention to the 18 per cent year-on-year increase in herd breakdowns in the UK, stressing that there was a long way to go before it would be possible to say that the disease was under control. As well as catching up on recent developments in the UK, delegates heard a number of speakers describe how other countries were tackling the disease. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
