An electron-beam high-power heating source for temperature controlled outgassing investigations of divertor tiles from the high temperature plasma installations type Tokamak is developed. A linear mathematical model for transforming the anode heating power into sample temperature is created. An electron-beam heating system as a controlled device is described. An efficient temperature control in LABVIEW environment is synthesized. Offset characteristics and transient responses of the samples heating process are experimentally obtained. Closed loop systems responses for unit step load disturbance and unit step reference input are presented.

Electron beam evaporators with magnetic field and hot filament are widely used in vacuum technology. The lack of adequate models for the electron beam evaporating process makes it difficult to predict the optimum parameters for quality and low cost process control. A mathematical model for transforming the filament heating power into evaporation power is developed. A discrete model for computer control and an algorithm for the model's parameter estimation are presented.

Ion sources with hot filament and magnetic field are widely used in vacuum technologies . The operating conditions of an ion source of this type were effectively stabilized by manipulating the discharge current via the filament heating. Based on a mathematical model of the generalized control device a feedback control is developed, which in combination with inexpensive commercially available components, makes this analogue control unit versatile and inexpensive. The regulator is well suited for different applications such as electron bombardment heating and thermoemission process control.
