Adenocarcinoma of the prostate affects up to 70 % of men over 80 and is the second leading cause of cancer related death in men. We reported an unusual case of a giant prostatic adenocarcinoma compressing bilaterally the 2 external and internal iliac veins that was revealed by a bilateral edema of the lower limbs after histological confirmation the patient was treated by radiotherapy and hormone therapy with a clinical amelioration.

Para-testicular liposarcoma develops from the fatty tissue surrounding the spermatic cord and covers the testicle and epididymis. It is an extremely rare pathological entity. We report the case of a 58-year-old african man who presented with a tumor mass developed from the right spermatic cord. Right orchidectomy with wide excision of the tumor was challenging due to the significant size of the mass. The histological examination of the surgical specimen favored a paratesticular liposarcoma.

Fibrous pseudo tumor of the tunica vaginalis is a rare lesion affecting men representing a challenge in its diagnosis and treatment. We reported the case of a 17 year old male patient who presented for a right scrotal mass. Surgical resection of the mass was performed and the histological diagnosis was a fibrous pseudo tumor of the tunica vaginalis. It is usually affecting men in the third decade and the fear is to miss its main differential diagnosis which is testicular cancer. Studies should give more concern to this entity, so that we can avoid unnecessary orchiectomy.

Ocular abscess following transurethral resection of the prostate is an rare complication. We report the case of a male who developed an ocular abscess with purulent melting of the eye after undergoing TURP for benign prostatic hyperplasia. The patient successfully underwent the TURP procedure. However, he developed a right epididymitis and subsequently an ocular abscess on the same side. Treatment involved dual antibiotic therapy for the epididymitis, followed by incision of the ocular abscess and intravenous antibiotics. Multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli was identified in both ocular and postoperative urine cultures. This case highlights the rarity and potential serious complications following TURP.

A 23-year-old boy was referred to Urology because of a nail self insertion on the scrotum. Examination revealed a visible big nail within the scrotum, lateralized to the right at 1 cm from the median raphe. Scrotal exploration and debridement of non-viable tissue was performed, and no testicular or surrounding structure injury was found. Referred to a psychiatrist the diagnosis of schizophrenia was retained in our patient in front of several arguments including the self-mutilation and his psychiatrist concluded that this was secondary to delusions.

A 78-year-old woman presented with tachypnea, abdominal distension, bilateral lower limb edema, and hematuria. A contrast-enhanced CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis was performed, which revealed a significant left-sided hydronephrosis upstream of an upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UUT-UC). The patient underwent a left open nephroureterectomy, and approximately 10 L of fluid were evacuated. Follow-up examinations did not show any recurrence of abdominal swelling.

Emphysematous prostatitis is characterized by their rarity and its severity. It often occurs in older diabetics. This study reports a new case of an isolated emphysematous prostatitis in a 66-year-old patient which presented with mental confusion and severe sepsis. Computed tomography revealed intra parenchymal air bubbles of the prostate which evolved well after early resuscitation and rapid and effective antibiotic therapy. Emphysematous prostatitis is an uncommon but potentially serious disorder that has the potential for causing problems if not diagnosed at the early stage and treated promptly.

Sarcomas are uncommon and extremely aggressive malignancies. Sarcomas of the bladder are exceedingly rare. We report the case of 67-year-old female patient having had 20 years ago a total hysterectomy with bilateral adnexectomy followed by adjuvant external radiotherapy to an undifferentiated uterine sarcoma, was presented with hematuria. An abdomino-pelvic Computed Tomography (CT) Scan was done showing a 5 cm budding lesion of the bladder floor. An anterior pelvectomy with external urinary diversion was undergone. The histological examination showed a high grade urothelial carcinoma infiltrating the muscle with a sarcomatoid component.

Urinary tract endometriosis (UTE) is a very rare but serious form of infiltrating endometriosis because of the risk of urinary tract obstruction and loss of renal function. We report the case of A 42-year-old female patient admitted for intense right back pain with lower urinary tract disorders. An abdomino-pelvic ultrasound was done showing right uretero-hydronephrosis. Ureteroscopy showed an inflammatory-like stenosis of the right pelvic ureter. Given the young age of the patient, the poor quality of the right kidney, we opted for a right total nephro ureterectomy. The anatomopathological examination showed a bladder endometriosis.

Non-urothelial bladder cancers are rare. We report the case of a 72-year-old who consulted for terminal hematuria evolving for three months. Computed Tomography scan showed a tumor of the anterior wall of the bladder. The patient underwent a transurethral resection of the bladder tumor. The histological examination of the tumor showed a bladder colloid carcinoma. The extension evaluation showed pulmonary and bone metastases. The patient received chemotherapy.

Having a kidney disease is a major risk factor of renal injury during blunt traumas. We present a case of abdominal blunt trauma due to motor-vehicle accident in a 48 year old male patient. Abdominal computed tomography scan showed a high-volume retroperitoneal hematoma with rupture in the isthmus of the horseshoe kidney with active contrast-enhanced extravasation. He underwent a partial nephrectomy of the left lower pole.

Considering the proximity of the lower urinary tract to gynecologic organs, several iatrogenic injuries of the bladder or ureters can occur.We report the case of 25 year old woman who suffered from bilateral ureteral injury causing renal failure following a laparoscopic detorsion of the left ovarian cyst.Double J stents were placed for 2 months with a favorable post operative course.CTscan results after 2 months of urinary drainage showed normal kidneys with no ureteral dilatation nor contrast medium extravasation.Urinary tract injuries are rare in gynecologic laparoscopy but these lesions are associated with high morbidity.

Rhabdomyosarcomas (RMS) are mesenchymal tumors that develop at the expense of striated muscle fibers. It accounts for 6% of childhood malignancies. Rhabdomyosarcomas of the genitourinary tract also occur in children but are distinctly uncommon in adults. We report a case of bladder rhabdomyosarcoma in a 72-year-old patient who presented with gross hematuria and discuss difficulties of diagnosis and treatment.

The occurrence of urothelial carcinoma and tuberculosis in the same kidney is exceptional. To our knowledge, a few cases have been reported in the literature. Herein, we report a case of an unusual association between renal tuberculosis and urothelial carcinoma of the upper urinary tract in a 61-year-old patient and discuss the diagnosis and treatment difficulties.

Intra-abdominal testicular tumors are characterized by their rarity and insidious progression. They are often revealed in adulthood in the form of a pelvic mass. This study reports a new case of an intra-abdominal seminoma in a 57-year-old patient which presented with isolated left flank pain, which is an unusual symptom. CT scan revealed a large pelvic mass along with a second retroperitoneal mass that was responsible for left hydronephrosis. Surgical excision of the pelvic mass was performed and the diagnosis of seminoma was confirmed by histopathology.

Urogenital tuberculosis remains a frequent disease in our country. It is the most common extra-pulmonary location. Prostatic involvement is extremely rare.We report the observation of a prostatic lithiasis complicating a granulomatous prostatitis of tuberculous origin, revealed essentially by obstructive and storage lower urinary tract symptoms. The diagnosis was suspected on imaging and clinical findings and confirmed by histology. Treatment consisted of endoscopic resection of the prostate associated with endoscopic ballistic lithotripsy.Prostatic lithiasis is a rare condition with a poorly elucidated ethiopathogeny. The origin of tuberculosis should be evoked in front of this affection.

Renal abscess is a medical and surgical urological emergency whose diagnosis has been improved by modern imaging.It often poses a problem of therapeutic management between antibiotic therapy or the association of a drainage. Most abscesses are unilateral, the bilateral nature of the abscessed lesions suggests a hematogenous diffusion.We report a case of a bilateral renal abscess fusing to the psoas muscle on the right that progressed well with antibiotic treatment and percutaneous drainage.

Because of an increased hypercoagulable state, a significant proportion of COVID-19 patients develop various and extensive venous thromboembolic complications. We report the case of a young patient with a history of pneumopathy related to COVID-19 disease, in whom the diagnosis of thrombosis of a pampiniform plexus vein was made on color doppler ultrasound data. We adopted a conservative treatment with good clinical and radiological evolution. To our knowledge, this is the second association of venous thrombosis of the pampiniform plexus with COVID-19 disease.

There is a well-established association between sarcoidosis and many solid and hematologic malignancies, but it is less commonly described in patients with renal cell carcinoma. The majority of the cases described presented local sarcoid-like reactions in the immediate vicinity of the tumor with comparatively few reports of the disease further away. In view of the relatively small number of cases, there remains great uncertainty about the clinical behavior of sarcoidosis in renal cell carcinoma. In this observation, we illustrate a case of mediastinopulmonary sarcoidosis, which behaved like a true paraneoplastic syndrome of a renal tumor.

The hydatid cyst is a parasitic pathology which is endemic in Tunisia and presents a public health problem.Hydatid cysts located in the retroperitoneum, especially around or in the kidney, are rare and only represent 5% of visceral locations. The kidney is the most commonly affected organ of the urinary tract.The psoas muscle is an uncommon location and not less than 70 cases have been cited. We report the Case of an unusual presentation of a right kidney hydatid cyst associated with a psoas muscle location. To our knowledge, this association of double retroperitoneal location has not been reported in the literature.

Duplication of the ureters with distal, supra-sphincteric, prostatic implantation is an uncommon congenital anomaly. We report a case of a 35 year-old men presenting with pelvic pain with lower urinary tract symptoms for at least 3 months duration. On magnetic resonance urograms double collecting system in the left kidney and also hydro-uretero-nephrosis in the collecting system which drained the upper pole of the left kidney were seen. The ureter draining the upper pole of the left kidney was seen to open into the prostatic utricle with an ureterocele and multiple stones. Left ureteroneocystostomy was performed. Carcinosarcoma of the bladder is a very rare and aggressive tumor with poor prognosis. We report a case of a 61 year-old-male who presented a terminal hematuria. Ultrasounds revealed a mass at the dome and the right of urinary bladder. A transurethral resection of the bladder tumor was performed. A pathological examination revealed a pT1 hight grade carciono-sarcoma of the urinary bladder with cartilaginous differentiation. Cystoprostatectomy with Bricker diversion and lymph node dissection were performed. The pathological examination of the surgical specimen revealed no residual tumor lesion. Urethral foreign bodies are rare in daily practice, especially in adolescents with no evident history of mental illness. The presentation is usually delayed and a wide variety of objects may be implicated. Treatment by minimally invasive procedures (endoscopy), if possible, is preferred to minimize bladder and urethral injuries and psychiatric evaluation is mandatory to detect an underlying mental disorder. Despite the available literature on self-inserted urethral foreign bodies; the case we report here of urethral self-insertion of a sewing needle in a 14 year-old boy for autoerotic stimulation is very rare. Cystic lymphangioma is a rare benign tumor developing from lymphatic endothelial cells, and is usually described in the neck or axilla. We report a new case of an adrenal cystic lymphangioma fortuitously found in a 37-year-old patient. This case report and review of the literature bring new insights into the diagnostic difficulty and management of cystic lymphangioma of the adrenal gland. Malakoplakia is a rare inflammatory condition that can affect many organ systems, including genitourinary tract, it is associated with impaired immune function. It is characterized by distinctive Michaelis-Gutmann bodies. Very rare cases have been reported to present as a locally advanced renal mass.
