Abstract

The article presents a study that aims to describe cardiac function profiles in the recipient twin and to identify the development of twin-twin transfusion (TTT) syndrome based on twin's cardiomyopathy. It notes that the study investigated 107 pregnancies and has identified three different preoperative cardiac profiles. It found out that progressive cardiomyopathy can be evaluated in the recipient twin but it does not influence pregnancy outcome if treated first by fetoscopic laser coagulation.
