Information about the issues discussed at the conference organized by the European Blood Alliance and America's Blood Centers in London, England is presented. Medical studies depicting perioperative transfusion in France were discussed, which aimed to measure anesthesia-related death and mortality in the perioperative setting. Speakers assess that patients treated symptomatically had lesser level of hemoglobin while no significant differences of major complications are found.
