This has been the experience of Mike Willson, a teacher trainer who lectures in science education at Sussex University. He is currently swapping roles two days a week with Kevin Hutchings, a science and personal and social education teacher at Seaford Head Community College near Brighton, England. The swap has made Willson appreciate the demands of teaching, while Hutchings has been able to assist in training future science teachers and undertake his own research.
