The article reports on the decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals to order a retrial on the case of ousted collector of the country's internal revenue bureau, Denis W. Delaney in early July 1953. The court claims that the press uproar had prevented a fair trial on Delaney so it is ordering a retrial. The evidence presented by sister publications Providence Journal and Evening Bulletin reporter John Strohmeyer, however, prompted Delaney to plead guilty on bribery and tax evasion.
