A collection of Gaillardia pulchella Foug. from New Mexico furnished three new sesquiterpene lactones, pulchellin B, C and D, instead of pulchellin previously isolated from the Southeastern variety. Structures of pulchellin B and C were established. Helenalin was isolated from Gaillardia multiceps Greene and Gaillardia megapotamica (Spreng.) Baker.
