The article discusses science education for special educational needs students (SENs), particularly when doing experiments in class. A teacher uses differentiation to ensure that she is meeting the various needs of her pupils in a mixed-ability classroom to make the students feel more comfortable. Another teacher divides up the class in groups based on their particular difficulties and she and her teaching assistant each take one group.
