Vertical farming methods are gaining importance in the current era of urbanization and industrialization 5.0. These methods of farming enhance sustainability by consuming less space and reducing carbon emissions and greenhouse gas emissions. The Green Internet of Things (G-IoT) offers greater environmental sustainability by switching to a dormant mode while not in use, thereby consuming less energy. Each farming method has a different effect on the shoot and root growth of the plants. Thus, dedicated farming methods must be identified for each crop according to the type of crop under consideration. This leads to a need to compare and analyze the root as well as shoot growth trends of crops in different cultivation mediums, using different cultivation methods, thereby identifying the most suitable method for the cultivation of the crop. A comparative analysis of barley shoot and root growth in green IoT-embedded hydroponics and substrate cultivation methods has shown that hydroponics exhibits two times more shoot growth than substrate cultivation. Furthermore, the results were verified against the results obtained from the simulator, which confirmed that the hydroponic method of cultivation produced a year-round qualitative product with 17.112 tons of biomass and 8.556 tons of dry yield. Predicting subcellular protein localization has become a popular topic due to its utility in understanding disease mechanisms and developing innovative drugs. With the rapid advancement of automated microscopic imaging technology, approaches using bio-images for protein subcellular localization have gained a lot of interest. The Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project is a macro-initiative that aims to map the human proteome utilizing antibody-based proteomics and related c. Millions of images have been tagged with single or multiple labels in the HPA database. However, fewer techniques for predicting the location of proteins have been devised, with the majority of them relying on automatic single-label classification. As a result, there is a need for an automatic and sustainable system capable of multi-label classification of the HPA database. Deep learning presents a potential option for automatic labeling of protein's subcellular localization, given the vast image number generated by high-content microscopy and the fact that manual labeling is both time-consuming and error-prone. Hence, this research aims to use an ensemble technique for the improvement in the performance of existing state-of-art convolutional neural networks and pretrained models were applied; finally, a stacked ensemble-based deep learning model was presented, which delivers a more reliable and robust classifier. The F1-score, precision, and recall have been used for the evaluation of the proposed model's efficiency. In addition, a comparison of existing deep learning approaches has been conducted with respect to the proposed method. The results show the proposed ensemble strategy performed exponentially well on the multi-label classification of Human Protein Atlas images, with recall, precision, and F1-score of 0.70, 0.72, and 0.71, respectively. Industry 5.0 benefits from advancements being made in the field of machine learning and the Internet of Things. Different sensors have been installed in a variety of IoT devices present in different industries such as transportation, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, etc. The sensors present in these devices should automatically predict errors due to the extensive use of sensors in urban living. To ensure the integrity, precision, security, dependability and fidelity of sensor nodes, it is, therefore, necessary to foresee faults before they occur. Additionally, as more data is being collected by these devices every day, cloud computing becomes more necessary for sustainable urban living. The proposed model emphasizes solution recommendations for faults that occurred in real-life smart devices to mitigate faults at an early stage, which is a key requirement in today's smart offices. The proposed model monitors the real-time health of IoT devices through an ML algorithm to make devices more efficient and increase the quality of life. Through the use of K-Nearest Neighbor, Decision Tree, Gaussian Naive Bayes and Random Forest approach, the proposed fault prediction recommender model has been evaluated and Random Forest shows the highest accuracy compared to other classifiers. Several performance indicators such as recall, accuracy, F1 score and precision were utilized to examine the performance of the model. The results have demonstrated the effectiveness of ML techniques applied to sensors in predicting faults in smart offices with Random Forest being observed as the best technique with a maximum accuracy of 94.27%. The amount of data captured is expanding day by day which leads to the need for a monitoring system that helps in decision making. Current technologies such as cloud, machine learning (ML) and Internet of Things (IoT) provide a better solution for monitoring automation systems efficiently. In this paper, a prediction model that monitors real-time data of sensor nodes in a clinical environment using a machine learning algorithm is proposed. An IoT-based smart hospital environment has been developed that controls and monitors appliances over the Internet using different sensors such as current sensors, a temperature and humidity sensor, air quality sensor, ultrasonic sensor and flame sensor. The IoT-generated sensor data have three important characteristics, namely, real-time, structured and enormous amount. The main purpose of this research is to predict early faults in an IoT environment in order to ensure the integrity, accuracy, reliability and fidelity of IoT-enabled devices. The proposed fault prediction model was evaluated via decision tree, K-nearest neighbor, Gaussian naive Bayes and random forest techniques, but random forest showed the best accuracy over others on the provided dataset. The results proved that the ML techniques applied over IoT-based sensors are well efficient to monitor this hospital automation process, and random forest was considered the best with the highest accuracy of 94.25%. The Internet of Things has recently been a popular topic of study for developing smart homes and smart cities. Most IoT applications are very sensitive to delays, and IoT sensors provide a constant stream of data. The cloud-based IoT services that were first employed suffer from increased latency and inefficient resource use. Fog computing is used to address these issues by moving cloud services closer to the edge in a small-scale, dispersed fashion. Fog computing is quickly gaining popularity as an effective paradigm for providing customers with real-time processing, platforms, and software services. Real-time applications may be supported at a reduced operating cost using an integrated fog-cloud environment that minimizes resources and reduces delays. Load balancing is a critical problem in fog computing because it ensures that the dynamic load is distributed evenly across all fog nodes, avoiding the situation where some nodes are overloaded while others are underloaded. Numerous algorithms have been proposed to accomplish this goal. In this paper, a framework was proposed that contains three subsystems named user subsystem, cloud subsystem, and fog subsystem. The goal of the proposed framework is to decrease bandwidth costs while providing load balancing at the same time. To optimize the use of all the resources in the fog sub-system, a Fog-Cluster-Based Load-Balancing approach along with a refresh period was proposed. The simulation results show that "Fog-Cluster-Based Load Balancing" decreases energy consumption, the number of Virtual Machines (VMs) migrations, and the number of shutdown hosts compared with existing algorithms for the proposed framework. The security framework in Ad-hoc Networks (ANET) continues to attract the attention of researchers, although significant work has been accomplished already. Researchers in the last couple of years have shown quite an improvement in Identity Dependent Cryptography (IDC). Security in ANET is hard to attain due to the vulnerability of links (Wireless). IDC encompasses Polynomial Interpolations (PI) such as Lagrange, curve-fitting, and spline to provide security by implementing Integrated Key Management (IKM). The PI structure trusts all the available nodes in the network and randomly picks nodes for the security key generation. This paper presents a solution to the trust issues raised in Lagrange's-PI (LI) utilizing an artificial neural network and attribute-based tree structure. The proposed structure not only improves the trust factor but also enhances the accuracy measures of LI to provide a sustainable network system. Saffron, also known as "the golden spice", is one of the most expensive crops in the world. The expensiveness of saffron comes from its rarity, the tedious harvesting process, and its nutritional and medicinal value. Different countries of the world are making great economic growth due to saffron export. In India, it is cultivated mostly in regions of Kashmir owing to its climate and soil composition. The economic value generated by saffron export can be increased manyfold by studying the agronomical factors of saffron and developing a model for artificial cultivation of saffron in any season and anywhere by monitoring and controlling the conditions of its growth. This paper presents a detailed study of all the agronomical variables of saffron that have a direct or indirect impact on its growth. It was found that, out of all the agronomical variables, the important ones having an impact on growth include corm size, temperature, water availability, and minerals. It was also observed that the use of IoT for the sustainable cultivation of saffron in smart cities has been discussed only by very few research papers. To ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information stored, encryption and auditing procedures are frequently used. Access control mechanisms are mostly used during the data sharing stage to regulate the objects that have access to the data. The privacy protection of medical and health big data is carried out under the supervision of machine learning during the data analysis stage. The popularization of electronic clinical medical records makes it possible to use automated methods to extract high-value information from medical records quickly. As essential medical information, oncology medical events are composed of attributes that describe malignant tumors. In recent years, oncology medicine event extraction has become a research hotspot in academia. Many academic conferences publish it as an evaluation task and provide a series of high-quality annotation data. This article aims at the characteristics of discrete attributes of tumor-related medical events and proposes a medical event. The standard extraction method realizes the combined extraction of the primary tumor site and primary tumor size characteristics, as well as the extraction of tumor metastasis sites. In addition, given the problems of the small number and types of annotation texts for tumor-related medical events, a key-based approach is proposed. A pseudo-data-generation algorithm that randomly replaces information in the whole domain improves the transfer learning ability of the standard extraction method for different types of tumor-related medical event extractions. The proposed method won third place in the clinical medical event extraction and evaluation task of the CCKS2020 electronic medical record. Saffron, one of the most expensive crops on earth, having a vast domain of applications, has the potential to boost the economy of India. The cultivation of saffron has been immensely affected in the past few years due to the changing climate. Despite the use of different artificial methods for cultivation, hydroponic approaches using the IoT prove to give the best results. The presented study consists of potential artificial approaches used for cultivation and the selection of hydroponics as the best approach out of these based on different parameters. This paper also provides a comparative analysis of six present hydroponic approaches. The research work on different factors of saffron, such as the parameters responsible for growth, reasons for the decline in growth, and different agronomical variables, has been shown graphically.
