This paper presents the results of the authors’ study of the perception of Ancient Chinese philosophy in the Ukrainian philosophy of the Soviet period in the second half of the 20th century. The study is based on a unique source: a monograph by two authoritative and influential Soviet philosophers, Volodymyr Dmytrychenko and Volodymyr Shynkaruk, which was published in Ukrainian in 1958. The authors described the way of perception of Ancient Chinese philosophy, its ideological principles, main problems and key personalities in the Ukrainian philosophy of the Soviet period, and systematically presented them. The paper presents the authors’ conclusions about the leading theoretical positions and methodology of the history of philosophy in the Ukrainian philosophical culture of the Soviet period. The authors concluded that the peculiarity of the development of studies in the history of philosophy in Ukraine in the Soviet era is a departure from Hegel’s theory of the history of philosophy, the main theoretical and methodological shortcoming of which is “Eurocentrism”. This circumstance allows us to assert a critical rethinking of Hegel’s theory of the history of philosophy in the Ukrainian philosophical culture of the Soviet period of the second half of the 20th century. Also, in this paper, the authors prove the point of view that a comparative approach and reception studies are effective methods of studying the history of Ukrainian philosophy of the Soviet period.

Most of the big companies have the internal regulations about human resources management. The bylaws in question are usually created in the reality of a particular legal system. When a company expands abroad, it starts operating in a different legal system than its own. As a result, the bylaws are not always compatible neither with laws nor the legal culture of the state of a new market. The paper touches upon the problem of the cohesion of internal regulations of some of the international companies operating in Poland with the traditional family model established in Polish law analyzing three areas such as: supporting parenting, family business, and preference for non-heterosexual persons. The conclusions are that some of the internal regulations are not coherent with Polish law, and some of the bylaws regarding, e.g., daycare or flexible working hours, can be adapted to Polish legal system. It (unclear what “it” is referring to) would benefit traditional model of the family. The paper contains also the excursus about some legis-lative phenomenon regarding the reception of state law regulations issues by private companies and pos-tulates that the Polish legislator shall be open to new ideas in this matter and search for the well-tried regulations.

This comprehensive study explores the multifaceted nature of language policy in Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) against the backdrop of increasing globalization and a rising influx of international students. Employing a multi-level methodological approach, the paper analyzes the current state of language policy, emphasizing its role in academic performance, cultural identity, and international competitiveness. The study also investigates the impact of technology on the implementation of these policies, highlighting the potential for digital platforms to amplify or impede educational objectives. Data was collected from a diverse range of institutions and indicates significant room for improvement in existing policies. Recommendations are offered at multiple levels, focusing on enhancing the effectiveness, inclusivity, and cultural sensitivity of language policies. The findings underscore the necessity of an interdisciplinary approach to crafting a language policy that is both academically rigorous and culturally inclusive.

In this paper, at the example of Anthony Radyvylovskyi creation, we examine the impact of Aristotle’s works on the philosophical component of Ukrainian church sermons from the Baroque period. The culturological approach and methods of hermeneutics and comparative analysis were used in the research. The source base of this article was the texts of the Ukrainian preacher Anthony Radyvylovsky, who worked in the Baroque era. Separate texts of Aristotle were used for comparative analysis. The objective of this study is to investigate the usage specialties of the Aristotle’s texts by Anthony Radyvylovskyi in his own writing. The result should help to better understand the ideological influence of ancient philosophy on the formation of national philosophical tradition of the Baroque epoch. The ideological content of borrowed from Aristotle’s texts and mechanisms are traced to the use by the preacher. The list of Aristotle’s texts from which Radyvylovskyi quoted is provided. It is also shown that Radyvylovskyi uses the authority of Aristotle during moral teachings and philosophical thinking about the characteristics of human nature. The conclusion about the creative way of using the Aristotle’s ideas by Anthony Radyvylovskyi is given and significant philosophical component in the preacher’s written legacy is noted.

The purpose of the paper is the presentation of the mutual political-religious relations between civil and religious authority in the time of the late Roman Empire. The main problem are the universal councils in this context. The paper concentrates on the presentation of course, role, meaning and circumstances of the collecting of this councils. The article doesn’t talk over the peculiar canons of the church law. The deeper analysis concerns to this council which took place from IV. to VI. Century: Nice (325), Constantinople I (381), Ephesus (431), Chalcedon (451) and Constantinople II (553). In IV-VI centuries, when the emperors gave the acts protecting the state before the different dangers, the church did the same. The analysis of the documents presents some similarities between state and church. We can assert, that this assemblies doesn’t have the legislative and judicial power beyond the border of the dioceses of the participating bishops. They were the expression of the church consciousness. Thanks to the intrinsic value and the high level of the features of their participants, the councils have the great recognition. The consequence of this recognition was the lesser or more universal power of the law.

The media is a powerful force in modern society. Students and teachers need to develop media literacy skills to be interested and critical consumers of the media. During the war in Ukraine, the development of higher education requires the adjustment of management principles, methods, and practices for organizing and conducting electoral processes to minimize security problems in education. Cyberspace is both an opportunity and a challenge for the security and privacy of personal data, as well as the research and learning process. Moreover, information such as academic data, research data, personal data, personal knowledge, complex equipment designs, and drawings for unpatented products has become extremely vulnerable to cybersecurity attacks. According to experts and politicians, the frequency and severity of cyberattacks are expected to continue to rise and plunge into areas that have not been the main targets in the past, such as academic data. This paper is a continuation of the authors work and an attempt to add the following element to the puzzle of the methodology for minimizing security issues in education in the context of the war in Ukraine in 2022.

The mercy of God who comes towards man is often equated with the event of the Passover, of Jesus’s suffering and death, where his love of man reaches its fullness. As a result, we often seem to forget about the beginning of God’s presence amongst men, the beginning which makes this presence tangible. His Incarnation is a manifestation of God’s love and mercy for us, a coming forward of the Other towards man, towards his sin. This paper undertakes to portray the sense and the need of the Incarnation. It discusses the terminological meaning of the word “incarnation” and outlines its Biblical references. Furthermore, it explores the meaning of God’s “self-abasement,” the motives and effects of the Incarnation and the connection between the Incarnation and the Passover.

The paper’s objective is to explain the different levels of media freedom in the post-socialist counties of Central and Eastern Europe in the 1990s, particularly in Po­land and Ukraine. Even though these two countries are very close geographically, they started the process of transition from communism to democracy and initiated media reforms in the same period, in 10 years the results of these processes were dif­ferent: Poland achieved the level of free media whereas Ukraine did not. The theories of Putnam’s deep long-term historical path dependence approach, East Central Euro­pean historians and path dependence approaches of the economic reforms in the 1990s in the Central and Eastern European countries of post-socialist transitions are com­bined and applied for the analysis of media freedom in the 1990s and its deep histori­cal predecessors in the sample countries.
