The article presents case studies of two Caucasian males who were admitted to the hospital due to two different reasons, one with melena and generalized hyperpigmentation and the other was due to fever, fatigue, and chronic diarrhea. Both patients were diagnosed with whipple disease, a rare inflammatory disease from gram-positive bacillus Tropherma whipplei. The patients were treated by trimethroprim-sulfamethoxazole (TMP/SMX) for more than a year until treated.
