Despite the fact that military actions on the territory of Ukraine have been ongoing since year 2014, the negative consequences of which have been the destabilization of the political situation in the country and destructive processes in many spheres of life that caused the need for a complex solution including a legislative one by way of problematic issues that arise in connection with the implementation of criminal proceedings in the conditions of emergency, which drew attention in the scientific literature, the criminal and procedural legislation, unfortunately, turned out to be not ready for effective criminal proceedings in the conditions of martial law, which required prompt introduction of changes for the proper functioning of the entire criminal system of justice.
