Abstract

The innovation of ITRI's roll-to-roll (R2R) technology is capable of handling 100 μm ultra-thin flexible glass (UTFG) with in-house designed equipment. By applying this R2R technology on roll-UTFG, the total thickness of touch panel module with 0.4 mm cover lens can be reduced to 0.6 mm only. This complete solution provides a reliable and cost-effective manufacturing approach making commercialization in the near future.

Abstract

A simple, rapid, and environmentally friendly method was used to synthesize high quality nanoscale zinc oxide (ZnO) particles through microwave irradiation. The synthesized ZnO nanoparticles can be easily deposited on solid substrate (silicon wafer) through spin coating or dip coating. Such type of ZnO-based TFT devices is expected to have higher device performance than organic-based devices.

Abstract

Simple microwave irradation escalating the luminance efficiency for the commercial phosphor powders is reported. Geometrical variation of the particles from irregular to spherical shape is simultaneously achieved, encouraging an efficient screen-printed phosphor deposition. Particle size reduction following the microwave surface modification gives consdierably improved luminescence efficiecy.
