Library knowledgebases (kbs) have improved generation by generation, product by product over the last three or four decades. Functionality, completeness, integration with other library systems, and the standardization of useful data elements have all increased particularly via the Knowledgebases and Related Tools (KBART) Recommended Practice (RP), KBART Automation RP, and the upcoming NISO recommendation for package identifiers. However, several more fields and limiters would greatly enhance kbs for staff users. These include additional date fields, indicators for consortia- or region-specific packages, curator/responsible party, and more. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
