Advances in automotive technology require networks to support a variety of communication requirements, such as reliability, real-time performance, low jitter, and strict delay limits. Time-Sensitive Network (TSN) is a keyframe transmission delay-guaranteed solution based on the IEEE 802 architecture of the automotive Ethernet. However, most of the existing studies on automotive TSN performance are based on a single mechanism, lacking a complete and systematic research tool. At the same time, the design method should be considered from a global perspective when designing an automotive TSN system, rather than only considering a single mechanism that TSN applies to. This paper discusses the correspondence between traffic types and automotive scenarios and proposes a methodology to target the delay constraint of traffic types as the design goal of automotive TSN networks. To study the performance of automotive TSN under different mechanisms such as time-aware shaper (TAS), credit-based shaper (CBS), cyclic queuing and forwarding (CQF), etc., this paper also develops a systematic automotive TSN simulation system based on OMNeT++. The simulation system plays a crucial role in the whole methodology, including all applicable TSN standards for the automotive field. Lastly, a complex automotive scenario based on zonal architecture provided by a major motor company in Shanghai is analyzed in the simulated system; verifying TSN can guarantee real-time performance and reliability of the in-vehicle network. Understanding human movement patterns is crucial for comprehending how a city functions. It is also important for city planners and policymakers to create more efficient plans and policies for urban areas. Traditionally, human movement patterns were analyzed using origin–destination surveys, travel diaries, and other methods. Now, these patterns can be identified from various geospatial big data sources, such as mobile phone data, floating car data, and location-based social media (LBSM) data. These extensive datasets primarily identify individual or collective human movement patterns. However, the impact of spatial scale on the analysis of human movement patterns from these large geospatial data sources has not been sufficiently studied. Changes in spatial scale can significantly affect the results when calculating human movement patterns from these data. In this study, we utilized Weibo datasets for three different cities in China including Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai. We aimed to identify the effect of different spatial scales on individual human movement patterns as calculated from LBSM data. For our analysis, we employed two indicators as follows: an external activity space indicator, the radius of gyration (ROG), and an internal activity space indicator, entropy. These indicators were chosen based on previous studies demonstrating their efficiency in analyzing sparse datasets like LBSM data. Additionally, we used two different ranges of spatial scales—10–100 m and 100–3000 m—to illustrate changes in individual activity space at both fine and coarse spatial scales. Our results indicate that although the ROG values show an overall increasing trend and the entropy values show an overall decreasing trend with the increase in spatial scale size, different local factors influence the ROG and entropy values at both finer and coarser scales. These findings will help to comprehend the dynamics of human movement across different scales. Such insights are invaluable for enhancing overall urban mobility and optimizing transportation systems. Objective: The aim was to evaluate and optimize the performance of sensor monitors in measuring PM2.5 and PM10 under typical emission scenarios both indoors and outdoors. Method: Parallel measurements and comparisons of PM2.5 and PM10 were carried out between sensor monitors and standard instruments in typical indoor (2 months) and outdoor environments (1 year) in Shanghai, respectively. The optimized validation model was determined by comparing six machining learning models, adjusting for meteorological and related factors. The intra- and inter-device variation, measurement accuracy, and stability of sensor monitors were calculated and compared before and after validation. Results: Indoor particles were measured in a range of 0.8–370.7 μg/m3 and 1.9–465.2 μg/m3 for PM2.5 and PM10, respectively, while the outdoor ones were in the ranges of 1.0–211.0 μg/m3 and 0.0–493.0 μg/m3, correspondingly. Compared to machine learning models including multivariate linear model (ML), K-nearest neighbor model (KNN), support vector machine model (SVM), decision tree model (DT), and neural network model (MLP), the random forest (RF) model showed the best validation after adjusting for temperature, relative humidity (RH), PM2.5/PM10 ratios, and measurement time lengths (months) for both PM2.5 and PM10, in indoor (R2: 0.97 and 0.91, root-mean-square error (RMSE) of 1.91 μg/m3 and 4.56 μg/m3, respectively) and outdoor environments (R2: 0.90 and 0.80, RMSE of 5.61 μg/m3 and 17.54 μg/m3, respectively), respectively. Conclusions: Sensor monitors could provide reliable measurements of PM2.5 and PM10 with high accuracy and acceptable inter and intra-device consistency under typical indoor and outdoor scenarios after validation by RF model. Dynamic traffic flow, which can facilitate the efficient operation of traffic road networks, is an important prerequisite for the application of reasonable assignment of traffic demands in an urban road network. In order to improve the accuracy of dynamic traffic flow assignment, this paper proposes a dynamic traffic flow assignment model based on GPS trajectory data and the influence of POI. First, this paper explores the impact patterns of POI on regional road network congestion during peak hours through qualitative and quantitative analysis. Then, based on the user equilibrium theory, a dynamic traffic flow assignment model, in which the effect of POI on links is reflected using the link-node impedance function, is proposed. Finally, the accuracy of the model is validated by the GPS trajectory data and origin–destination (OD) traffic data of motor vehicles in Xuhui District, Shanghai, China. The results show that the model can be used to coordinate and optimize the traffic assignment of the regional road network under the influence of POI during peak hours and alleviate the congestion of the road network. Traffic-related air pollution (TRAP) was monitored using a mobile sensor network on 125 urban taxis in Shanghai (November 2019/December 2020), which provide real-time patterns of air pollution at high spatial resolution. Each device determined concentrations of carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and PM2.5, which characterised spatial and temporal patterns of on-road pollutants. A total of 80% road coverage (motorways, trunk, primary, and secondary roads) required 80–100 taxis, but only 25 on trunk roads. Higher CO concentrations were observed in the urban centre, NO2 higher in motorway concentrations, and PM2.5 lower in the west away from the city centre. During the COVID-19 lockdown, concentrations of CO, NO2, and PM2.5 in Shanghai decreased by 32, 31 and 41%, compared with the previous period. Local contribution related to traffic emissions changed slightly before and after COVID-19 restrictions, while changing background contributions relate to seasonal variation. Mobile networks are a real-time tool for air quality monitoring, with high spatial resolution (~200 m) and robust against the loss of individual devices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Deep learning techniques such as convolutional neural networks have largely improved the performance of building segmentation from remote sensing images. However, the images for building segmentation are often in the form of traditional orthophotos, where the relief displacement would cause non-negligible misalignment between the roof outline and the footprint of a building; such misalignment poses considerable challenges for extracting accurate building footprints, especially for high-rise buildings. Aiming at alleviating this problem, a new workflow is proposed for generating rectified building footprints from traditional orthophotos. We first use the facade labels, which are prepared efficiently at low cost, along with the roof labels to train a semantic segmentation network. Then, the well-trained network, which employs the state-of-the-art version of EfficientNet as backbone, extracts the roof segments and the facade segments of buildings from the input image. Finally, after clustering the classified pixels into instance-level building objects and tracing out the roof outlines, an energy function is proposed to drive the roof outline to maximally align with the building footprint; thus, the rectified footprints can be generated. The experiments on the aerial orthophotos covering a high-density residential area in Shanghai demonstrate that the proposed workflow can generate obviously more accurate building footprints than the baseline methods, especially for high-rise buildings.
