The Internet of Things (IoT) consist of a network of interconnected nodes constantly communicating, exchanging, and transferring data over various network protocols. Intrusion detection systems using deep learning are a common method used for providing security in IoT. However, traditional deep learning IDS systems do not accurately classify the attack and also require high computation time. Thus, to solve this issue, herein, we propose an advance Intrusion detection framework using Self-Attention Progressive Generative Adversarial Network (SAPGAN) framework for detecting security threats in IoT networks. In our proposed framework, at first, the IoT data are gathered. Then, the data are fed to pre-processing. In pre-processing, it restored the missing value using Local least squares. Then the preprocessing output is fed to feature selection. At feature selection, the optimum features are compiled using a modified War Strategy Optimization Algorithm (WSOA). Based upon the optimum features, the intruders were categorized into two categories named Anomaly and Normal using the proposed framework. Numerous attacks are assembled, including camera-based flood, DDoS, RTSP brute force, etc. We have compared our proposed framework using state of the art model and efficiency of 23.19%, 27.55%, and 18.35% higher accuracy and 14.46%, 26.76%, and 13.65% lower computational time compared to traditional models., Competing Interests: Competing interests: Authors declare that there is no conflict of interest., (© 2024. In this study, we examine the assessment of surface roughness on turned surfaces of Ti 6Al 4V using a computer vision system. We utilize the Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DTCWT) to break down the images of the turned surface into sub-images oriented in directions. Three different methods of feature generation have been compared, i.e., the use of Gray-Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) and DTCWT-based extraction of second-order statistical features, DTCWT Image fusion, and the use of GLCM for feature extraction, and DTCWT image fusion using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based GLCM features. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was utilized to identify and select features. The model was developed using a Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN). Accordingly, six models were designed based on the three feature generation methods, considering all features and features selected using PCA. The study of research proposes a systematic pattern for optimization and fabrication of a sustainable-cost effective electrochemical sensor made by Bi-CdFe 2 O 4 (BCDF) nanoparticle and graphite powder. The structural examinations of synthesized BCDF materials were analyzed by specific spectral techniques viz.; P-XRD, SEM-EDX, TEM, XPS, FT-IR and DRS techniques. The modified sensor electrode offer a significant electrochemical properties that can improve the material selectivity and sensitivity actions measured by Cyclic Voltammetric (CV) and Electrochemical Impedance Spectral (EIS) plots. We demonstrated a developed highly-purity BCDF-graphite paste electrode for sensing actions on Paracetamol and Lead (Pb 2+ ) ions under 0.1 M KCl. The excellent sensing activity towards Lead ions and Paracetamol confirmed by its redox potential peaks at scan rate of 1-5 V/s with maximum sensitivity of -0.61 V and 0.69 V respectively. The excellent photo-dye-degradation action of BCDF (98.2%) than those of host CDF (81.6%) on Rose Bengal (RB) dye was demonstrated. Its kinetic study reveals that this process follows first order kinetics and rate constants of the host (18.1 × 10 -3 min -1 ) and BCDF (39.2 × 10 -3 min -1 ) were measured. The current analytical study is dedicated to the boundary layer regime where heat and mass transfer rates are ruled by natural convection. A rectangular enclosure filled with a combination of an arbitrary buoyancy ratio has an Oseen-linear solution, and the position of Beavers and Joseph's condition is employed at the porous fluid interface. Thermal radiation's interaction with a porous lining influences overall heat transfer in a system. Porous linings and radiation are employed in many applications, such as furnaces, insulation, heat exchangers, solar energy collecting and storage, and heat control in electronics. The effect of slip and radiation is to increase the flow rate because of the reduction in friction at the surface. It indicates the fact that temperature and concentration are rapidly lowering. As the slip parameter and radiation parameter increase, the heat and mass transport increase due to the rise in velocity. The Nusselt and Sherwood numbers reach their maximum when the radiation parameter, Rayleigh number, and slip parameter are increased. This article proposes a dual mode dual-polarized antenna configuration for IRNSS and fifth generation (5G) applications, operating at a frequency of 3.5 GHz based on characteristic mode analysis (CMA), and aims to provide broadband dual-polarized functionality. The original design of the antenna is a traditional patch antenna, and its dual-polarized features are determined using characteristic mode analysis. The full-wave method is used to stimulate both orthogonal modes using a 50 Ω coaxial input line at 3.5 GHz. In this design, the circular patch has been extended into an elliptical patch through a process of mode separation. The circular patch exhibits resonance at a frequency of 2.5 GHz, whereas the extended elliptical radiator demonstrates two resonance modes at 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz. The operational mechanism is elucidated by modal analysis and characteristic angle. This antenna operates on two different frequencies at the 2.5 GHz IRNSS band with horizontal polarization and the 3.5 GHz 5G service with vertical polarization. The maximum gain achieved with these frequency ranges is 5.31 dBi and 4.72 dBi, respectively. A ring resonator is chosen to improve the axial ratio and impedance bandwidth of the suggested prototype. The antenna's ground plane is shaped like a rectangle and features a V-shaped slot in the radiating patch. The antenna's physical footprint is 50 mm × 50 mm × 1.6 mm and an FR4 dielectric substrate serves as its foundation. Through its interaction with a PIN diode, the diode modifies the polarization of the antenna. The antenna functions as a right-handed circular polarization (RHCP), when the diode is operational. The bandwidth from 4.3 to 7.5 GHz is covered. On the other hand, it generates linear polarization (LP) between 4.2 and 5.3 GHz. The experimental antenna is evaluated and examined for its performance characteristics. The simulations are carried out utilizing the CST simulator. Design closure and parameter optimisation are crucial in creating cutting-edge antennas. Antenna performance can be improved by fine-tuning preliminary designs created using theoretical considerations and rough dimension adjustment via supervised parameter sweeps. This paper introduces a frequency reconfigurable antenna design that can operate at 28/38 GHz frequencies to meet FCC and Ofcom standards for 5G applications and in the 18 GHz frequency band for K-band radar applications. A PIN diode is used in this design to configure multiple frequency bands. The antenna has a modified rectangular patch-like structure and two optimised plugins on either side. The study that is being presented focuses on maximising the parameters that are subject to optimisation, including length (Ls), width (Ws), strip line width (W 1 ), and height (ht), where the antenna characteristic parameters such as directivity is tuned by a hybrid optimisation scheme called Elephant Clan Updated Grey Wolf Algorithm (ECU-GWA). Here, the performance of gain and directivity are optimally attained by considering parameters such as length, width, ground plane length, width, height, and feed offsets X and Y. The bandwidth of the proposed antenna at - 10 dB is 0.8 GHz, 1.94 GHz, and 7.92 GHz, respectively, at frequencies 18.5 GHz, 28.1 GHz, and 38.1 GHz. Also, according to the simulation results, in the 18 GHz, 28 GHz, and 38 GHz frequencies S11, the return loss is - 60.81 dB, - 56.31 dB, and - 14.19 dB, respectively. The proposed frequency reconfigurable antenna simulation results achieve gains of 4.41 dBi, 6.33 dBi, and 7.70 dBi at 18.5 GHz, 28.1 GHz, and 38.1 GHz, respectively. Also, a microstrip quarter-wave monopole antenna with an ellipsoidal-shaped complementary split-ring resonator-electromagnetic bandgap structure (ECSRR-EBG) structure has been designed based on a genetic algorithm having resonating at 2.9 GHz, 4.7 GHz, 6 GHz for WLAN applications. The gain of the suggested ECSRR metamaterial and EBG periodic structure, with and without the ECCSRR bow-tie antenna. This is done both in the lab and with numbers. At present, fossil fuel-based power generation systems are reducing drastically because of their less availability in nature. In addition, it produces hazardous gasses and high environmental pollution. So, in this work, the solar natural source is selected for generating the electricity. Due to the nonlinear behavior of PV, achieving maximum voltage from the Photovoltaic (PV) system is a more tough job. In this work, various hybrid optimization controllers are studied for tracing the working power point of the PV under different Partial Shading Conditions. The studied hybrid optimization MPPT methods are equated in terms of oscillations across MPP, output power extraction, settling time of the MPP, dependency on the PV modeling, operating duty value of the converter, error finding accuracy of MPPT, algorithm complexity, tracking speed, periodic tuning required, and the number of sensing parameters utilized. Based on the simulative comparison results, it has been observed that the modified Grey Wolf Optimization based ANFIS hybrid MPPT method provides good results when equated with the other power point tracking techniques. This present research aimed to investigate the novel applications of synthesized La doped CuFe 2 O 4 nanomaterial (LCF NMs) using renewable bio-fuel (Aegle Marmelos extract) by combustion process. The sensor applications were accomplished by modified electrode using LCF NMs with graphite powder and examined its excellent sensing action towards heavy metal (Lead content) and drug chemical (Paracetamol) substances. The thermodynamics of redox potential and super-capacitor behavior of LCF NMs were investigated through Cyclic Voltametric (CV) and Electrochemical Impedance Spectral (EIS) methods under specific conditions at scan rate of 1 to 5 mV/s. The heterogeneous photo-catalytic process of prepared NMs on Fast orange Red (FOR) dye-decolouration was investigated and noted its excellent degradation (91.7%) at 90 min using 20 ppm of dye solution and 40 mg of synthesized samples under Sun-light irradiation. Further, the antibacterial activity of synthesized NMs is investigated against various strains of gram positive (Bacillus subtillis) and gram negative bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa), which confirms that the LCF NMs have higher activity towards gram positive bacteria with an average inhibition zone of 19 mm. Here, we performed a systematic DFT study assisted by the workflow framework SimStack for the mechanical and thermodynamic properties of the clay mineral lizardite in pristine and six different types of O vacancies configurations. In most cases, the defect caused a structural phase transition in the lizardite from the trigonal (pristine) to the triclinic phase. The results show that oxygen vacancies in lizardite significantly reduce the lattice thermal conductivity, accompanied by an elastic moduli reduction and an anisotropy index increase. Through the P-V relation, an increase in compressibility was evidenced for vacancy configurations. Except for the vacancy with the same crystalline structure as pristine lizardite, the sound velocities of the other vacancy configurations produce a decrease in these velocities, and it is essential to highlight high values for the Grüneisen parameter. We emphasize the great relevance of the punctual-defects introduction, such as O vacancies, in lizardite, since this microstructural design is responsible for the decrease of the lattice thermal conductivity in comparison with the pristine system by decreasing the heat transfer ability, turning lizardite into a promising candidate for thermoelectric materials., (© 2023. The sympathetic nervous system is crucial for controlling multiple cardiac functions. However, a comprehensive, detailed neuroanatomical map of the sympathetic innervation of the heart is unavailable. Here, we used a combination of state-of-the-art techniques, including flat-mount tissue processing, immunohistochemistry for tyrosine hydroxylase (TH, a sympathetic marker), confocal microscopy and Neurolucida 360 software to trace, digitize, and quantitatively map the topographical distribution of the sympathetic postganglionic innervation in whole atria of C57Bl/6 J mice. We found that (1) 4-5 major extrinsic TH-IR nerve bundles entered the atria at the superior vena cava, right atrium (RA), left precaval vein and the root of the pulmonary veins (PVs) in the left atrium (LA). Although these bundles projected to different areas of the atria, their projection fields partially overlapped. (2) TH-IR axon and terminal density varied considerably between different sites of the atria with the greatest density of innervation near the sinoatrial node region (P < 0.05, n = 6). (3) TH-IR axons also innervated blood vessels and adipocytes. (4) Many principal neurons in intrinsic cardiac ganglia and small intensely fluorescent cells were also strongly TH-IR. Our work provides a comprehensive topographical map of the catecholaminergic efferent axon morphology, innervation, and distribution in the whole atria at single cell/axon/varicosity scale that may be used in future studies to create a cardiac sympathetic-brain atlas., (© 2023. Central nervous system alterations was described in Chagas disease in both human and experimental models, leading to meningoencephalitis, stroke and cognitive impairment. Recently, our group demonstrated that acute infection by Trypanossoma cruzi leads to cerebral microvasculophaty in mice with endothelial dysfunction, capillary rarefaction, increased rolling and leukocyte adhesion. Only benznidazole and nifurtimox are available for clinical treatment, they have an efficiency of 80% in the acute phase and less than 20% in chronic phase. However, the effect of these drugs on brain microcirculation has not yet been evaluated. We hypothesized that early treatment with benznidazole could protect brain microcirculation during acute experimental Chagas disease. Swiss Webster mice were inoculated with 10 4 trypomastigotes forms of T. cruzi, and after 24 h they were treated with 50 or 100 mg/kg/day of benznidazole for 14 consecutive days. In untreated infected mice, we observed cerebral microvascular rarefaction, increase in leukocyte rolling and adhesion, reduced cerebral blood flow, and increased CD3+ and F4-80+ cells in brain tissue. Early treatment with benznidazole at 100 mg/kg/day and 50 mg/kg/day prevented the occurrence of the alterations mentioned. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical evolution, functional parameters and inflammatory activity of asthma in patients who submitted to an educational intervention. 58 adult patients over 18 years of age with partly controlled and uncontrolled asthma were randomized into an intervention group (IG) (N = 32) and a control group (CG) (N = 26) and evaluated for 12 weeks. The Asthma Control Test (ACT), Asthma Control Questionnaire (ACQ), Asthma Quality Life Questionnaire (AQLQ) and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) questionnaires were applied. Spirometry, exhaled nitric oxide (NO), exhaled breath condensate (EBC) and induced sputum (IS), measurement of the peak flow and symptoms were performed. The IG patients received an educational activity for 30 min applied by a nurse. Statistical analysis: analysis of variance with repeated intragroup measures. IG presented a decreased number of eosinophils in IS and IL-17A in EBC, an increase in the percentage of FEV 1 before and after bronchodilator and an improvement in quality of life compared to the CG. There was an improvement in depression levels and a decrease in IL-4 and IL-5 in the IS and in the EBC in both groups. Our results suggest that an educational intervention can bring benefits concerning the control of inflammation, lung function alterations, quality of life and levels of depression in asthmatic patients. Alzheimer's disease is the leading cause of dementia and a defining hallmark is the progressive brain deposition of tau aggregates. The insidious accumulation of brain tau inclusions is also involved in a group of neurodegenerative diseases termed frontotemporal dementias. In all of these disorders, tau aggregates are enriched in post-translational modifications including acetylation, which has recently been identified at multiple sites. While most evidence suggest that tau acetylation is detrimental and promotes tau aggregation, a few studies support that tau acetylation within the KXGS motif can be protective and inhibit tau aggregation. To model site-specific acetylation at K259, K290, K321, and K353, acetylmimetics were created by mutating lysine to glutamine residues, which approximates size and charge of acetylation. HEK293T cells were transfected to express wild type tau, tau pathogenic mutations (P301L and P301L/S320F) or tau acetylmimetics and assessed by cell-based assays for microtubule binding and tau aggregation. Acetylmimetics within the KXGS motif (K259Q, K290Q, K321Q, K353Q) leads to significant decreased tau-microtubule interactions. Acetylmimetics K321Q and K353Q within the context of the pathogenic P301L tau mutation strongly inhibited prion-like seeded aggregation. This protective effect was confirmed to decrease intrinsic aggregation of P301L/S320F tau double mutation. Surprisingly, K321Q and K353Q acetylmimetics altered the conformational structure of P301L/S320F tau to extensively impair Thioflavin S binding. The mupirocin trans-AT polyketide synthase pathway, provides a model system for manipulation of antibiotic biosynthesis. Its final phase involves removal of the tertiary hydroxyl group from pseudomonic acid B, PA-B, producing the fully active PA-A in a complex series of steps. To further clarify requirements for this conversion, we fed extracts containing PA-B to mutants of the producer strain singly deficient in each mup gene. This additionally identified mupM and mupN as required plus the sequence but not enzymic activity of mupL and ruled out need for other mup genes. A plasmid expressing mupLMNOPVCFU + macpE together with a derivative of the producer P. fluorescens strain NCIMB10586 lacking the mup cluster allowed conversion of PA-B to PA-A. MupN converts apo-mAcpE to holo-form while MupM is a mupirocin-resistant isoleucyl tRNA synthase, preventing self-poisoning. Surprisingly, the expression plasmid failed to allow the closely related P. fluorescens strain SBW25 to convert PA-B to PA-A.

Previously, we introduced a noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) protocol for diagnosing compound heterozygous autosomal recessive point mutations via maternal plasma DNA and simulated control genomic DNA sampling based on fetal DNA fraction. In our present study, we have improved our NIPT protocol to make it possible to diagnose homozygous autosomal recessive point mutations without the need to acquire fetal DNA fraction. Moreover, chi-squared test and empirical statistical range based on the proportion of mutant allele reads among the total reads served as the gatekeeping method. If this method yielded inconclusive results, then the Bayesian method was performed; final conclusion was drawn from the results of both methods. This protocol was applied to three families co-segregating congenital sensorineural hearing loss with monogenic homozygous mutations in prevalent deafness genes. This protocol successfully predicted the fetal genotypes from all families without the information about fetal DNA fraction using one-step dPCR reactions at least for these three families. Furthermore, we suspect that confirmatory diagnosis under this protocol is possible, not only by using picodroplet dPCR, but also by using the more readily available chip-based dPCR, making our NIPT protocol more useful in the diagnosis of autosomal recessive point mutations in the future.

We developed a protocol of noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT), employing a higher-resolution picodroplet digital PCR, to detect genetic imbalance in maternal plasma DNA (mpDNA) caused by cell-free fetal DNA (cffDNA). In the present study, this approach was applied to four families with autosomal recessive (AR) congenital sensorineural hearing loss. First, a fraction of the fetal DNA in mpDNA was calculated. Then, we made artificial DNA mixtures (positive and negative controls) to simulate mpDNA containing the fraction of cffDNA with or without mutations. Next, a fraction of mutant cluster signals over the total signals was measured from mpDNA, positive controls, and negative controls. We determined whether fetal DNA carried any paternal or maternal mutations by calculating and comparing the sum of the log-likelihood of the study samples. Of the four families, we made a successful prediction of the complete fetal genotype in two cases where a distinct cluster was identified for each genotype and the fraction of cffDNA in mpDNA was at least 6.4%. Genotyping of only paternal mutation was possible in one of the other two families. This is the first NIPT protocol potentially applicable to any AR monogenic disease with various genotypes, including point mutations.
