The economic and social outcomes recorded by Romania by the end of the year 2011 are emphasizing an unprecedented collapse. The unity of the basic indicators allowing the evaluation, quantity and quality wise, of the economic development is marking an up warding trend as comparatively the previous periods. The reserves of foreign currencies held by the National Bank recorded a slight increase, with a reasonable level by the end of the year 2011, by means of drawing a certain quantity of foreign currency existing with the population. An ordinary calculation leads to the conclusion that, presently, there is an amount of about eight-nine billion US dollars with the population, nor deposited in bank accounts.

Before entering into details, we notice the fact that this transformation does not insert the over-determination of the conditions on the variables distribution.We shall estimate the mean of the regression differentials. We have seen that the parametrical estimation of a regression erroneously specified does not allow us to consistently estimate the differentials of this function in a certain point. In many econometrical issues, the differentials are parameters of interest. The estimation is possible but its rate of convergence is very slow and, consequently, requires a large sample. Nevertheless, in many applications it is enough to estimate the mean of the regression differentials.

This paper describes a set of methods applied in investment analysis. In the first part, there are reviewed the theoretical bases of the studied analysis methodology. In the second part, there are presented the possibilities that linear and non-linear models provide as macro-economic analysis instruments. The final part emphasizes a series of macroeconomic correlations regarding foreign direct investments.

Nowadays, the economic reform is directed mainly towards finalyzing the restructuring and privatization of the large state-owned companies as well as towards securing the coherence between the different components of the reform. This is why, the foreign investments policy is aiming a continuous increase of the production and, on this ground, of the exports, the development of the small and medium companies as well as a balanced regional development, these targets being considered as major instruments allowing the premises of the European integration of Romania. The foreign investments are holding a special place within the volume of the investments achieved in the Romanian economy. The foreign investments policy has to be considered as a first step for supplementing the domestic requirements of capital as well as a source for bringing in new technologies, know-how and performant management.

In the Romanian economy, the constructions sector occupies an important and significant place. As our economy is on a developing path, it is expected and normal that the results and weight of this activity is focused on the private sector and on the individual population. The state diminished its interest in this sector, so that the contribution to GDP formation is subsequently reduced. Also, the authors analyse the evolution of the transport sector in Romania during the recent period. It can be observed that all indicators had an oscillatory evolution, both for passenger transportation and merchandise transport. The evolutions are very different when comparisons with the reference year 2008 are attempted. The transports activity in Romania kept on being carried on by the specialized institutions in the field of the rail, road, river and air transports.

The study examines the evolution of GDP in the period 2009 – 2012. The results evidenced by the macroeconomic indicators show a disastrous trend in this period, as effect of the economic and financial crisis. When analyzing the data available for 2012, we have to consider as starting point the actual situation being recorded by our country during this year. Thus, for instance, the stocks variations recorded a lower contribution, while the net export, namely the difference between exports and imports, recorded a more reduced effect, following the reduction of the deficit of the foreign trade balance.

In this paper, we analyze the main results regarding evolution of the national economy in recent years. This period is characterized by sinuous development of economy under the impact of several events with major influence on social-economic development. The results of most synthetic development of the national economy is the gross domestic product. GDP and GDP/capita it shall be indicators that give substance in relation to the country’s economic development in a given period. Gross domestic product is an indicator that describes the results achieved by the economic activity at the level of a country. The conclusions arising from this article have important significance both to the general evolution of GDP and FDI as well as economic factors, political or social, both external and internal.

This paper presents the evolution of Romanian industry during the last fourteen years. Some of the key topics approached by the authors are the overall evolution of industry, the emphasis of the most significant braches of industry, which recorded growths or decreases, the analysis of the turnover in industry. The statistical data concerning the situation recorded by the industry up to July 2013, published by the National Institute for Statistics, are offering a still discussable picture on the forthcoming foreseeable period. If in 2000 the industrial production marked a slight increase as against the year 1999 (practically achieved due to almost exhausted resources), after the year 2001 it is possible to state out that a recovery process has been launched which, unfortunately, has been fractured as from the beginning of the IV quarter when the effects of the economic and financial crisis start of being felt.This development occurred at the level of all branches, mainly the one of the electric and thermic energy.

Based on the above, it can be concluded that the use of Value at Risk method allows a more efficient allocation of financial resources available, thus eliminating the overexposure to a single risk source. Also, the VaR model allows capital investors to properly assess their activity and position in the capital market, depending on the level of risk they are willing to and take.

Investment volume, even with strong economic crisis, domestic and international, has remained constant, with slight increases from one period to another, until 2008, when they triggered the crisis. Specific is that investment funds were directed to imports of machinery, ignoring the Romanian industry's ability to become, through refurbishment, competitive in the external market.

Realizing a financial instruments portfolio aims to create diversification of investments that have resulted in diminishing the risk arising from the final total of those.

One of the main aspects analyzed in this paper is the quarterly evolution of the seasonally adjusted GDP comparatively with the corresponding quarter of the previous year. As for the impact of foreign investments, year 2012 was a year when a series of sectors of activity kept on getting privatized while those already privatized kept on increasing their patrimony (capitals) by attracting new autochthonous and foreign investments which, from the point of view of the effects on the national economy structure is an important aspect to consider.

In this paper we have studied the dependence between GDP, final consumption and net investments. To analyze this correlation, the article proposes a multiple regression model, extremely useful tool in economic analysis. Regression model described in the article considers the GDP as outcome variables and final consumption and net investment as factorial variables.
