Abstract

The article describes twp cases of anti-neutrophil cytoplasm antibodies (ANCA)-negative eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) complicated by eosinophilic fasciitis (EF). A 35-year-old patient developed painful indurations of the lower legs ten years after EGPA onset while in a 22-year-old patient, confirmed EF preceded the diagnosis of EGPA by nine years. Also mentioned are the frequent EGPA manifestations shared by both patients.

The article describes the case of a 30-year-old woman with sudden onset of large irregular shaped confluent hemorrhagic necrosis, ecchymoses and bullae affecting both legs. Topics discussed include findings on laboratory evaluation, diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and Sanarelli Shwartzman phenomenon, and disseminated microthrombi in cutaneous vessels without signs of vasculitis revealed in dermal biospy.
