Abstract

In the article, the authors present their study to determine the effectiveness of a hair colchicine assay for the testing of colchicine observance of patients with familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) based on the international Livneh criteria. Also cited are the effectiveness of colchicine to treat FMF and reduce the occurrence of inflammatory amyloidosis, and the interleukin-1 inhibitors treatment as alternative to colchicine.
