In this article I discuss female transsexualism in childhood. I use the film My Life in Pink (BERLINER, 1997) and the documentary My Secret Self (GOLDBERG, 2007) as objects of analysis, trying to relate them to the current debate on the Ideology of Gender. My interest, then, focuses on the central ideas of the two productions, namely: the transition from male to female gender, the pathologization and depatologization of trans identities, the relations between anatomical sex and gender identity, symbolic violence, cisheteronormativity and adultcentrism. To make this debate, I turn to John Thompson's (2009) reflections on mass communication and symbolic violence, gender studies and sexual diversity, as well as to poststructuralist studies, especially Michel Foucault's work. Este texto analiza las vivencias espaciales de hombres transexuales residentes en la ciudad de Ponta Grossa, Paraná. Nuestra fuente de reflexión se refiere a los resultados de cuatro entrevistas realizadas con hombres trans que vivencian o vivenciaron los espacios educativos de nivel superior. Estas entrevistas apuntan a un proceso de identificación no lineal como hombre trans, y que las relaciones acerca de la adopción del nombre social son distintas, pues su utilización por los sujetos se inicia en diferentes contextos temporales y espaciales. Por último, la transfobia atravesa todos los niveles educativos, pero es a través del espacio escolar que esta acción se presenta de forma más intensa, lo que hace necesaria la creación de estrategias para la propia permanencia en estas espaciales desde la temprana edad. Studies suggest that LGBT population's issues are becomig more visible, and this includes mental health. Despite significant advances due to the creation of the National LGBT Health Policy, in Brazil, health services often still think their practices without taking this policy in account. Thus, we proposed a reflection for the teams of a psychiatric hospital wing and of a CAPS AD III (Center for Psychossocial Attention - Alcohol and Drugs) regarding the assistance to transsexuals, whenever these users need an overnight stay in the facilities, where the beds are separated in male/female. Focus groups were conducted with each team and the analysis was done by the OnockoCampos Narrative Method.
