In this work we studied the motion of a cylinder rolling down an incline plane as a function of the amount of mass in its interior. To do this we added steel spheres until the cylinder was totally full. Time intervals were measured for two positions of the rolling cylinder over the incline plane. These measures were made for six different inclination angles and four spheres of different diameters. The time to roll down the incline for a cylinder containing different amounts of mass is completely dissimilar with the expected times for rolling hollow and solid cylinder. The time to roll down is dependent of the plane inclination angle as the added mass to the cylinder. We also present the case limit in that the cylinder does not rolling for the plane, which is determined by the plane inclination angle. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
