to identify the knowledge of nurses about nursing care in post-transfusion process in the neonatal intensive care unit. Method: qualitative study performed in two hospitals in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. 35 nurses were interviewed. The content analysis in the thematic mode resulted in the category: "Nursing care in post-transfusion process in blood therapy: nurses' knowledge". Results: nurses are aware of the importance of: measurement and recording of vital signs, maintenance of peripheral venous access after blood transfusion and proper disposal of the blood bag and therapeutic equipment, but they are unaware of the need of the nursing registration demanded by the law that deals with this matter. Conclusion: nurses have adequate knowledge in some parts of the post-transfusion process, but they don't know the required legal steps required for the transfusion practices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: to analyze the practice of health professionals working on FHS, concerning breastfeeding on puerperium. Method: qualitative study, carried out at three units of the Family Health Strategy at Silva Jardim, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Twenty-one nursing mothers were interviewed through semi-structured interviews; the testimonies were submitted to thematic analysis. Results: we identified that the nursing mothers lacked information about breastfeeding, evidencing gaps on promotion and breastfeeding support, such as early introduction of food and absence of other health education practices. Conclusion: the difficulties in the breastfeeding process reported by the nursing mothers are related to the lack of lack of a follow-up and cohesive information according to their needs, evidencing absence in the promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding by health professionals.
