For any start-up, adhering to an entrepreneurial ecosystem is an engine for business innovation. The specific objectives of this paper are to address themes and characteristics (also comparing organizational structures and services provided in different national contexts: Italy vs. Romania) in terms of selection mechanisms adopted by business incubators, to analyse and deepen the contribution that incubators make to new business initiatives. From a methodological point of view, the comparative analysis of the incubator activities in Italy and Romania was performed by collecting relevant information outlining selection mechanisms that provide a qualitative magnitude to the start-ups' selection criteria. Findings reflect different perspectives regarding the approach of selection mechanisms in these two European countries. Today, in a highly competitive and ultra-dynamic environment, it is necessary for all organizations to be able to adapt to the new, because there exists the risk that what was yesterday a basis for effective management, in present can be a strong barrier to achieving performance. In this context, a key role is played by enterprising people with ideas and complementary skills. The future is full of opportunities for those people who have the ability to prepare, evaluate and exploit all these challenges. The entrepreneurial career is the best in the world today and is to become even more important for tomorrow. To be a good entrepreneur today means to have certain attributes and certain qualities. The entrepreneurial companies are the companies which create jobs and contribute to increase the productivity. Currently, entrepreneurship development is important all over the world. This paper work aims to identify and analyze which are the most important qualities needed to become a successful entrepreneur in Romania; for this purpose, the students' opinion from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Faculty of Pedagogy within the West University of Timisoara were investigated, as it is known that young graduates have serious problems regarding the lack of experience, competences and inadequate entrepreneurship skills which have been developed during the academic studies. The paper deals with the Romanian management training in the UE environment. It is based on the 1986 interviews achieved in 2011 with management teachers, trainers, consultants, specialists and with managers from the companies and administration. They represent a representative sample for Romania. The study is divided in four parts. In the first part it is presented the evaluation of the components sample regarding the level of the Romanian management comparative with EU management, in general and at the level of the main providers of the management training. The following paragraph deals with the intensity of the managerial and entrepreneurial training in the SME's field. The third part contains the causal analysis of the main strengths and weaknesses of the management training in Romania, in general and differentiated for university and for other training organizations. In the fourth part we present five strategic recommendations focused on the improvement of the management training in Romania. They are founded on the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the Romanian management training and on the Europe 2020 Strategy and Small Business Act. According to EU policy strategy aimed at youth, "Youth - Investing and Empowerment" youth is one of the most vulnerable groups in society, especially in the current economic and financial crisis and increasingly aging society, young people are a precious resource. The young generation is an ongoing resource reduction, it is estimated that 20% of the population that it is now projected to fall to 15% by 2050. While EU youth today enjoy numerous opportunities, they face difficult challenges, also, because many young people leave school and work or are at risk of poverty and social exclusion. This papers exhibit some interesting facts about the intensity of entrepreneurial spirit within the most important and prestigious economic university in Romania, The Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies. Entrepreneurship, the creation of new ventures, is an essential ingredient of any healthy economy, through the creation of jobs, value and innovation. (Malchow-Moller, Schjerning, & Sorensen, 2011). In Romania, like in other ex-communist countries, entrepreneurial culture is still recovering from more than 50 years of communism. Romanian academic research in the field is still at its beginnings, with more primary research needed. In this article we aim to offer an analysis of perceptions of entrepreneurship of potential entrepreneurs, based on the interpretation of the results of a primary research regarding entrepreneurship developed in April 2012. The results of the survey show that Romanian potential entrepreneurs are mostly motivated to open a business by the financial security, profit, independence and financial prosperity. On the overall, Romanians manifest an internal locus of control, considering that motivation is the second important condition for success in a business. Also, they manifest trust in business, management and entrepreneurial education and a positive perception of their own entrepreneurship potential, a cultural and social background that is positive for entrepreneurship development; despite this, additional institutional and financial support is still needed, according to the perceptions of the respondents.
