In order to adapt to the requirements of excellence program for the engineering universities and improve the students' practice innovation ability, this paper starts from the principles of uniting inside and outside of the class, process and result, rigorous and feasibility, universality and particularity, and education and research. In addition, using Bourdieu' s social practice theory, the practice teaching and its evaluation system are proposed from the field of space, the concept of habits and capital tools. It is made up of teaching results and other elements such as the teaching process, teaching content, teaching result, teaching participation of students and teachers. At the same time, the analysis and evaluation model of teaching are established. Combining the support vector machine and analytic hierarchy process, and analyzing the specific questionnaire data, it proves the rationality and feasibility of the built engineering university practice teaching system and evaluation model.
