In order to categorize feature classes by capturing subtle differences, hyperspectral images (HSIs) have been extensively used due to the rich spectral-spatial information. The 3D convolution-based neural networks (3DCNNs) have been widely used in HSI classification because of their powerful feature extraction capability. However, the 3DCNN-based HSI classification approach could only extract local features, and the feature maps it produces include a lot of spatial information redundancy, which lowers the classification accuracy. To solve the above problems, we proposed a spatial attention network (SATNet) by combining 3D OctConv and ViT. Firstly, 3D OctConv divided the feature maps into high-frequency maps and low-frequency maps to reduce spatial information redundancy. Secondly, the ViT model was used to obtain global features and effectively combine local-global features for classification. To verify the effectiveness of the method in the paper, a comparison with various mainstream methods on three publicly available datasets was performed, and the results showed the superiority of the proposed method in terms of classification evaluation performance. Although most of deep-learning-based hyperspectral image (HSI) classification methods achieve great performance, there still remains a challenge to utilize small-size training samples to remarkably enhance the classification accuracy. To tackle this challenge, a novel two-branch spectral–spatial-feature attention network (TSSFAN) for HSI classification is proposed in this paper. Firstly, two inputs with different spectral dimensions and spatial sizes are constructed, which can not only reduce the redundancy of the original dataset but also accurately explore the spectral and spatial features. Then, we design two parallel 3DCNN branches with attention modules, in which one focuses on extracting spectral features and adaptively learning the more discriminative spectral channels, and the other focuses on exploring spatial features and adaptively learning the more discriminative spatial structures. Next, the feature attention module is constructed to automatically adjust the weights of different features based on their contributions for classification to remarkably improve the classification performance. Finally, we design the hybrid architecture of 3D–2DCNN to acquire the final classification result, which can significantly decrease the sophistication of the network. With the growing development of remote sensors, huge volumes of remote sensing data are being utilized in related applications, bringing new challenges to the efficiency and capability of processing huge datasets. Spatiotemporal remote sensing data fusion can restore high spatial and high temporal resolution remote sensing data from multiple remote sensing datasets. However, the current methods require long computing times and are of low efficiency, especially the newly proposed deep learning-based methods. Here, we propose a fast three-dimensional convolutional neural network-based spatiotemporal fusion method (STF3DCNN) using a spatial-temporal-spectral dataset. This method is able to fuse low-spatial high-temporal resolution data (HTLS) and high-spatial low-temporal resolution data (HSLT) in a four-dimensional spatial-temporal-spectral dataset with increasing efficiency, while simultaneously ensuring accuracy. The method was tested using three datasets, and discussions of the network parameters were conducted.
