Abstract

The article presents the author's response to the review of his book "Chosen Peoples: Christianity and Political Imagination in South Sudan," published in this issue. He opines on a question on the creation and perception of political subjectivity in South Sudan in relation to gender, raised in the review. He appreciates the potential effects the book might have on theories of reconciliation.
