In a study of 31 pediatric patients with short bowel syndrome who were treated with teduglutide, four cases of toxicities were reported. The patients experienced symptoms such as hyporexia, vomiting, increased episodes of intestinal pseudo-occlusion, and biliary lithiasis. One patient developed acute cholecystitis as a result of teduglutide therapy. The study did not provide information on the ages or sexes of the patients, the duration of treatment, or the outcomes of the toxicities. [Extracted from the article]
