A retrospective study conducted at Cangshan Hospital in China examined the efficacy of fluorouracil, folinic-acid, cisplatin, and oxaliplatin in the treatment of metastatic gastric cancer. The study involved 286 patients, and two patients with abdominal metastases underwent lesion resection surgery followed by intraperitoneal chemotherapy. Both patients received cisplatin and fluorouracil through intraperitoneal infusion, as well as cyclical treatment with oxaliplatin, folinic-acid, and fluorouracil through intravenous infusion. Despite the treatment, one patient developed ovarian metastases and the other had hepatic metastases, indicating a lack of efficacy of the drugs in both cases. [Extracted from the article]
