This article presents a case study involving two individuals who developed skin necrosis during treatment with glatiramer acetate for multiple sclerosis. A woman developed several abdominal erythematous plaques following 16 months of treatment with glatiramer acetate. The woman presented with progressive malaise and sudden-onset abdominal pain and jaundice six months after taking dietary supplements containing green tea extract. Intravenous acetylcysteine was used to treat the woman, but 24 hours later, her encephalopathy worsened, her liver function deteriorated further with increased cholestasis.
