A 52-year-old man experienced lack of efficacy while being treated for sepsis with amoxicillin/clavulanic-acid, gentamicin, meropenem, and clindamycin after being bitten by a dog. Despite initial treatment, the infection progressed, leading to his death on the eleventh day due to severe sepsis. The patient's condition deteriorated despite supportive therapy, including renal replacement therapy, and extensive necrosis of the extremities. Ultimately, supportive therapy was discontinued in consultation with his family. [Extracted from the article]
