The experiment was conducted at farmers field Near Regional Agriculture Reserach Centre Hazaratpur, Firozabad of Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology Kanpur during the consicutive Kharif season 2007-08 and 2008-09 to find the effect of inorganic chemical fertilizers with organic, source of nutrients on growth and yield of Okra variety Azad Bhindi-1. The results revealed that the integrated application of 75% RDF with varmicompost @ 6 t/ha gave significantly higher marketable fruit yield (99.80 q/ha), over control which was closely followed by the treatment namely 50% RDF + Vermicompost @ 6 t/ha (92.45 q/ha), 75% RDF + Neem cake @ 3.0 t/ha (80.30 q/ha). Integrated application of either 50% or 75% RDF with Vericompost @ 6t/ha or neem cake @ 3.0q/ha, resulted in significant improvement in vegetative and fruit characters in Okra over control. Thus for better vegetative growth, fruit attributes and marketable yield in okra, integrated use of inorganic and organic sources of nutrient supply was formal better than the other treatment application.
