The current paper presents the way of carrying out the topographical works combined with the design of the redevelopment of a recreation park in a crowded urban area of the municipality of Timisoara. The aim of the work was to create a topographical plan using the AutoCad, and Autodesk Map programs in order to draw up the architectural landscape redevelopment plan. The multitude of the block of flats located in the Calea Girocului neighborhood, makes the lack of green spaces acutely felt by the residents. For this reason, the park is very important, it is practically a green island in a sea of concrete. To identify the limits and points in the field, of the leveling, which is the subject of this documentation, a topographic survey of the area was carried out, using the Leica TCR-407 Total Station and the SOUTH S82V GPS in RTK mode. Also, the method and stages of deployment, in the field and in the office, with the help of specialized computer programs, were presented in detail. Thus, at the completion of the work, the most relevant data were made available to the beneficiary, in order to redevelop and modernize the objective proposed by the "Strategy for the development of green spaces of the Municipality of Timisoara" by the Timisoara City Hall. Rapid and uncontrolled urbanization is one of the topics that are currently discussed both at European and global level. Also, in the development of General Urban Plans, architects are placed in difficulty because of the constant updating of the studies necessary to frame the concept of sustainable development in cities. Currently in Timisoara is in place a comprehensive program to revitalize neighbourhoods built during the communist regime. This idea has become a priority in terms of urban planning and the environment in the cities of Eastern Europe, Timisoara, the city located on the Bega River. This can be achieved also by measures to reduce noise pollution adopted by architects respecting urban plans. Making noise maps prove that their importance is essential when urban solutions are developed and zones that require noise reduction interventions are defined. In this paper we want to emphasize the importance of noise maps and efficient management of urban agglomeration involving unhealthy traffic in terms of noise pollution. For this purpose we used the analyses of the thematic maps drawn up in 2012 having as beneficiaries the Timisoara City Hall and the acoustic measurements made in 2014 in the areas of interest of the city affected by traffic. Through the studies of architectural terms we concluded that in central areas of the city, absorbing panels do not fit into the landscape and through the historical terms, the sound insulation of buildings is not an option, while an agreed solution is to use green walls. Sustainable development has been identified as a top priority problem in construction works. Directives and standards have been developed which are intended to encourage the implementation of sustainable criteria in the life cycle stages of a construction work. The paper presents an evaluation model developed by the authors. The global model is a comprehensive tool, which can be applied mainly on residential buildings. The utility of such model is important in the assessment of a construction work, because it converts sustainability issues into quantifiable goals, which are easier to understand, to use and to apply.
