The article presents a study which determines the effectiveness of the sequential injection analysis (SIA) system for dyebath monitoring system technique developed by the Dye Applications Research Group (DARG) in North Carolina State University in North Carolina. It recalls the development of the SIA technique in 1990, which aims to ease the system design of flow injection analyzers for process control applications, as well as to develop a next-generation dyebath monitoring system capable of performing equivalent to or better than the flow injection analysis (FIA) technique. The study found out that both the SIA and FIA dyebath monitoring techniques have provided consistent results with good correlation coefficients and slopes.
