For the purpose of developing a new kind of auxiliary learning method or tool, the author puts forward a kind of personalized mobile EFL learning system based on Android and vocabulary learning. The system consists of Remote Management Server, Client Mobile Learning System and Data Synchronization Intelligence Agent. This system has carried on the corresponding design in view of the different student, the different new word level, the different study, the different memory stage. The study found that there were 15 multiple choice questions before and after the exam, and 15 closed questions, with a full score of 30. In order to ensure accurate testing, the difficulty levels of both tests are controlled within a similar range. Although learners' academic performance in multiple choice questions did not significantly improve, their vocabulary ability in cloze tests significantly improved. It has been proven that the proposed system can effectively improve English learning performance, and the simulation also verifies the effectiveness and practicality of the system. Financial Technology (FinTech) is a popular name for innovative technology utilized by financial organizations, with a focus on security and privacy concerns. These concerns include threats, attacks, hostile activity, and adversaries, as well as potential responses. The goal of this study is to undertake an assessment of current advances in financial industry security and privacy issues. FinTech is viewed as a gateway to increased business potential by financial sectors and entrepreneurs, but in order to explore such possibilities, mobile applications and other digital platforms must be established. However, security vulnerabilities to mobile applications have expanded dramatically, posing a dilemma for users and FinTech entrepreneurs. The findings of this study can be used to develop a theoretical framework for FinTech security and privacy, which will provide critical support for the establishment of a trustworthy security mechanism in FinTech. Innovations in recurrent neural networks (RNNs) for time-series modelling has enabled effective prediction of sequence data prevalent in real-world dynamic processes. For example, problem domains such as speech and language modelling, weather prediction, financial forecasting and patient healthcare monitoring have all significantly benefited from developments in RNNs over the last 20 years. Today's vast availability of data has enabled models to learn from higher quality historical information, identify loopholes, and better understand and contextualise evolving information in real-time. This is arguably extremely important as access to fast reliable predictive information empowers decision makers to prepare for and effectively respond to future opportunities or crises. Also, the simpler the forecasting model, the more amenable it is to residing on multiple mobile platforms improving accessibility of predictive power. Given this, we comparatively assess the importance of the Multi-recurrent Neural Network (MRN) with a single hidden layer against current state-of-the-art models using a range of real-world problem domains from oil price prediction to predicting the spread and mortality rate of COVID-19. We find strong evidence that the simple and shallow MRN consistently offers superior performance over the Long Short-term Memory model (LSTM), the current state-of-the-art RNN and Support Vector Machines (SVM), a more traditional statistical approach. The MRN required much fewer adjustable parameters than the LSTM to learn the task and generalise competitively. This suggests that the simpler architecture offers significant value with respect to computational resources and effective predictive abilities for real-world applications which is particularly useful given the current ubiquitous shift towards the use of Internet of Things devices. Tobacco consumption is a leading cause of preventable death and, despite decades of research, smoking cessation is still a challenge. The number of smokers who attempt to quit smoking every year is high, but only 2-3% remain abstinent after 12 months. Smokers wanting to quit should have the help of healthcare professionals. However, only 1 in 20 who attempts to quit is supervised by a professional. Mobile phone technology has the potential to provide personalized smoking cessation support. Motivational messages and behavioral-changes methods used usually in face-to-face smoking cessation consultations can be modified for delivery via mobile phones. The content can be customized to be patient-centered and tailored for the age, gender and education group of the quitter. This paper presents a platform to support smoking cessation composed by a mobile application to be used by users trying to quit smoking, and a web application to be used by researchers to analyze data regarding the app users' tobacco cessation process. The app follows the transtheoretical model by Prochaska and DiClemente, allowing users to define and be aware of their wishes (what motivates them to stop smoking), barriers that hinder the quitting process and implementation plans and strategies to help them overcoming obstacles. The authors have proposed an active text system (A-txt), which is a next-generation electronic teaching material that can make general books digitally more extensible with a general-purpose mobile terminal using augmented reality (AR). A-txt content is created by software called Contents Maker (C-mkr). This paper discusses the development of C-mkr for mobile terminals and this development can realize new learning methods using it by students. A-txt is our original system that can easily add and show digital contents by using figures and sentences written on papers as augmented reality (AR) markers. Since Unity is used for the development of A-txt, users can use it regardless of the OS type of the mobile terminal. C-mkr used to need PCs exclusively so far, but now that we have developed an application for mobile terminals, it is possible to create contents on smartphones and tablet computers owned by every user. Along with that, A-txt itself has undergone various improvements. In fact, the A-txt system cannot be used by anyone at present because it is operated by an intra server, but we considered how to solve the problem by reconstructing the server using cloud type. With the above development, users can easily create and upload content anytime and anywhere. We are planning to use this system for students to make textbooks into reference books by themselves. The introduction of alternative messaging platforms on mobile devices have not been able to phase off Short Messaging Service (SMS) as the most widely used means of textual communication. Over the decades, SMS has remained the most responsive way of communication that has been embraced by individuals and organizations in passing information across to their intended recipients. However, hackers have been employing this tool as a way to deceive the gullible into divulging sensitive information about their financial dealings as well as gain access to their mobile devices. A lot of innocent but ignorant individuals have become victims of this smishing acts and have lost huge sum of money as a result. Though existing research have extensively proposed and implemented different techniques for detecting and separating spam SMS from ham SMS, a mobile application that uses a rule-based RIPPER and C4.5 classifiers in detecting smishing acts is proposed. The rule-based classifiers were used to formulate rules used in detecting and separating spam from ham while a mobile application was developed to use the rule-based model in smishing detection. An Application Programming Interface (API) was designed to intercept incoming SMS, forward them to the rule-based model for analysis and then relay the results to the user via the developed mobile application. A key element for water supply systems is the design of the water intake components. Mobile floating platforms (barges) are helpful when the hydraulic system displays substantial variations in water levels. This study presents the hydrological considerations that should be considered for the design of the barge's pipeline runway. The analysis takes into consideration the maximum and minimum water levels measured at the location. The study was carried out at the Magdalena River -Plato (Colombia) station, finding variations in water levels of between 12.3 m and 16.1 m for return periods of 25 and 100 years, respectively. This paper is described on the improvement of the Active Textbook System (A-txt) and the consideration for Copyright Law when the A-txt is used. The A-txt is a next-generation electronic educational material system proposed by the authors that can digitally expand the general paper books with general-purpose terminals. This system is the original system that allows you to easily attach additional digital content to any location by using figures and sentences on paper as augmented reality (AR) markers. Initially, A-txt, which was developed for each type of mobile OS, is provided on a unified platform by using Unity, and it has become possible to concentrate budgets and human resources. This time, we have added new functions to make usability better and improved the screen display by modifying the source code. In addition, as a measure to use figures in books as AR markers without infringing copyright, we experimentally have found the minimum necessary range in which A-txt can be used without inconvenience. The widespread adoption and employment of hand-held devices is a well-known and academically acknowledged fact as digital pervasiveness and hardware availability has triggered off this massive and convenient trend of accessing and consuming online resources and services from anywhere at any time. In this paper we argue that five areas in the mobile learning platform and the computer networks that support the processes and environments, require particular attention and proper training of the people involved to ensure the soundness of all the security methods and best practices are maintained, along with continual maintenance and updating of systems and procedures in each of these five categories. Multi-robotic systems are used to solve many practical tasks in wide areas, including military surveillance, reconnaissance, rescue operations, warehousing, etc. Such systems can be represented as groups of intelligent robots capable of interacting with each other and jointly implementing various tasks. One of the problems in the development of such systems is the safe navigation of a group of robots. The restrictions imposed by the structural elements of its agents are determined to solve it. The article presents the structure of a multi-robotic system consisting of parallel and serial robots installed on mobile platforms. The parallel robot is made based on a tripod with the possibility of rotating the robot base about the horizontal axis. Determining the workspace boundaries of robots eliminates collisions between agents and external objects. The developed algorithms are based on deterministic methods for approximating the solutions set of nonlinear inequalities systems with restrictions in spaces of coordinates in the form of n-dimensional boxes. Sifilis is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STI) in the world, with millions infected every year, despite efficient prevention and treatment options. In 2016, in Brazil, syphilis became a healthcare problem. The National Program for the Improvement of Access and Quality of Primary Care (PMAQ-AB) aims to amplify access and improve basic attention by providing access to public data. This study seeks to develop a mobile application that helps Syphilis Attention Networks to map data about the infection and therefore counter its proliferation. In this work, it was developed a mobile platform, with Flutter framework, that will extract data from the PMAQAB's platform regarding syphilis specialized health units. After that, Google tools are used to provide directions. According to that, it is possible to assume that Brazil has failed in the fight against Syphilis and needs new projects to improve its efficiency against the bacteria dissemination. As a result, this application can assist the mapping of syphilis attention networks and also become a module for a case management system, being able to map a variety of diseases other than Syphilis. Learning history means to learn what caused the world around us to become the way it is right now. For decades, historical events were recorded and taught to younger generations to learn from them. However, most students found that learning history is boring because they could not feel or understand the moment of those historical events. This paper aims to investigate how a game-based learning approach influences the achievement and motivation of historical learning through a mobile learning environment. We propose game-based historical learning using the role-playing game on a mobile platform. The implementation is based on the history of the first army general in Indonesia, General Sudirman. Digital sustainability has great potential for use in many areas. It refers to technological ecosystems, including various mobile payment platforms, crowdfunding, peer-to-peer loans, large financial-related datasets, artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and digital tokens internet of things. This creates relatively new opportunities for sustainable development. As a consequence, the digital sustainability gains the more attention of the research community. Therefore, a knowledge base containing selected documents in the field of digital sustainability is the main aim of this article. An analysis of available resources is supported by theoretical foundations including both comparative analysis and bibliometric analysis of selected approaches. Based on the retrieved 22 documents and their in-depth analysis by manual screening and by using bibliometric analysis, the set of criteria encompassed 12 main criteria and 276 sub-criteria covering various aspects of digital sustainability and providing relevant knowledge about analyzed documents and their content. To test the functionality of the proposed knowledge base, a number of sample competency queries were provided. Ultra-wideband technology has emerged in recent years as a robust solution for localization in GNSS denied environments. In particular, its high accuracy when compared to other wireless localization solutions is enabling a wider range of collaborative and multi-robot application scenarios, being able to replace more complex and expensive motion-capture areas for use cases where accuracy in the order of tens of centimeters is sufficient. We present the first survey of UWB-based localization focused on multi-UAV systems and heterogeneous multi-robot systems. We have found that previous literature reviews do not consider in-depth the challenges in both aerial navigation and navigation with multiple robots, but also in terms of heterogeneous multi-robot systems. In particular, this is, to the best of our knowledge, the first survey to review recent advances in UWB-based (i) methods that enable ad-hoc and dynamic deployments; (ii) collaborative localization techniques; and (iii) cooperative sensing and cooperative maneuvers such as UAV docking on mobile platforms. Finally, we also review existing datasets and discuss the potential of this technology for both localization in GNSS-denied environments and collaboration in multi-robot systems. Human subject studies with mobile users are widely used to understand, and model, human aspects such as behaviours and preferences, in the lab and in the wild. These studies usually employ mixed methods, collecting data by active participation and passive sensing using interactive, mobile, wearable, and ubiquitous devices. Researchers rely on a software platform to design and execute their studies, but existing solutions require a steep learning curve, allow little control, and offer limited guarantees. Our research lab built the mQoL Lab platform using open source technologies, and evolved it to a durable and reliable software ecosystem in over ten mobile subject studies along eight years across three countries. In this paper, we share the acquired experience via tangible artifacts such as requirements, architecture, design, step-by-step support, configuration scripts, and recommendations for researchers to construct a software platform supporting mobile subject studies. The paper is especially relevant for researchers embracing short-term to longitudinal, observational or intervention-based studies, leveraging mixed methods, including multiple devices, and tens to hundreds of simultaneous participants. More and more apps are built with mobile cross-platform development (MCPD) approaches. MCPD approaches offer developers several advantages for porting a mobile app onto several mobile platforms. However, these approaches come at the cost of a higher resource usage on the mobile device. In this study the resource and energy efficiency of the widely-used MCPD approach React Native is compared to native Android. The study is based on a mobile app, which uses functionality commonly found in mobile apps. However, to provide an optimized digital work environment for distributed teams of knowledge workers, many different aspects must be considered, including social, physical, legal, and technological aspects. In this article, we focus on the technological aspects. Nowadays, a multitude of tools and technologies exist to support the communication of distributed teams, to allow working concurrently on documents, or to support data and document exchange. However, many existing solutions only provide solutions for a specific purpose rather than a sophisticated platform that offers all of these services in an integrated manner and additionally takes care of delivering intelligent and data-driven services in a trustful and ethical way. In the research project "Digital Teams", we aim at developing such a platform as open source. In this article, we provide the basic architecture of our platform and share the main concepts and solutions we are currently implementing, such as our dashboard, data exchange concepts, or authentication and authorization mechanisms. Two of the concepts, which can be applied in this context, are mobile crowdsensing (MCS) and ecological momentary assessment (EMA). In the past few years, the quality of smartphone cameras has evolved, allowing users to take high-resolution images. Consequently, many smartphone applications, such as Snapchat and Instagram, emerged offering new forms of mobile imaging services that permit users to capture important moments or share their daily life with other people. However, these applications provide similar effects or filters for all users, not taking into account their custom requirements. To tackle this problem, this paper proposes a mobile platform for sharing image filters through social media. It allows mobile users to order special filters that match their requirements and allows designers to sell their designed filters as a service. The platform provides a filter gallery for every occasion from different designers and the user can request that filter that matches their need or order a custom filter from listed designers. Users and designers can communicate with each other to negotiate prices and designs via the platform's private messages service. Older adults present a decline on their cognitive function. Digital cognitive interventions are related to the maintenance of cognitive function and are associated with better health-related outcomes. This study aims to describe the development process of a multi-domain digital cognitive stimulation program for older adults with cognitive decline. The digital program was developed in four phases: preliminary phase (conceptualization), modeling (experts panel), field test (usability tests), and consensus conference. To ensure software suitability the development process followed also software guidelines for mobile and web applications for older adults. The result was the Digi&Mind digital platform made of a mobile application a backoffice web application. The backoffice web application usability test was conducted with 7 healthcare professionals through the Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire System (PSSUQ). The mobile application test was conducted with 4 older adults and 7 professionals through direct observation user testing. Healthcare professionals considered that the system, the information and the interface had quality. The rapid growth of mobile payment as the part of Financial Technology (FinTech) could lead to empirical problems (e.g. hacker attacks, privacy violation, etc) that results low cognitive based trust and lower loyalty among users. Hence, there are some proclivities for users' continuance intention on trust and its cognitive perspective regarding their funds that has been transferred to mobile payment platform. In order to understand the proclivity, we collect primary data from 165 users of mobile payment platform in Jakarta Indonesia and develop the hypotheses regarding the continuance intention that depends on trust and cognitive perspectives. To test the hypotheses, this study employs Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings show that the cognitive based trust dimensions such as information quality and privacy are insignificant on continuance intention. On the other hand, perceived security protection shows positive influence. Simultaneously, only information quality and security protection have significantly and positive influence on trust, while privacy perception are insignificant on trust and continuance intention. This study also shows that trust has more determining role toward continuance intention than the cognitive perspective. This study contributes in specifying cognitive dimension and trust on continuance intention. Therefore, it suggests the mobile payment companies to improve quality, reliability, and information updates. Furthermore, they also need to improve the security protection that refers to personalization among users of the mobile payment to gain more trust and achieve customers' retention. Proliferation in technological advancements has leveraged the evolution of cell-phones as powerful smart-phones with high computing competence. Integration of sensors and high definition camera has empowered the smart-phones as a tool to solve real world problems. Multiple applications of face recognition have been developed to address the security challenges using the computation power of handheld (mobile) devices. However, one important limitations of mobile devices is energy efficiency. This work has proposed an energy efficient fog-based face recognition using mobile platform. The architecture in proposed system initially performs the facial part detection on mobile device and uploads the selected part by discarding the rest. Abstract Due to tremendous advancements in technologies to make the human tasks easier,users are highly dependent on these applications and it has reached a scenario that they are not ready to compromise delay or issues in connectivity. So it becomes the very need of the mobile operators that they should develop a model to satisfy customer needs. In next generation networks,ultra dense small cellular networks are emerging to deal with this increasing traffic. However increasing the number of Base Stations may increase the Energy Consumption and reduce the Efficiency. Therefore,In this paper we develop model which considers both Energy Consumption and Efficiency. This can be stated as 2 sub problems:Dynamic Deployment of Base Station or Relay Station at the centroid depending on the user distribution and Dynamic small cells On/Off approach to reduce the unwanted energy consumption of under utilized cells. This paper also examines a comparison between the existing system and some of the modified systems in terms of Energy Consumption,Efficiency,Complexity and Cost. Android is the most popular mobile operating systems on the market share in 2nd Quarter 2017 Android operating system get 87.7% of mobile operating system on the market share. The mobile device Graphical user interfaces (GUI) are one of the main components to be tested for quality assurance. GUI testing is important since they often make up for half of the resource code of the application and GUI is used to interact with the application. Automating these tests is very useful since it saves a lot of time and money. However, the tools or frameworks that are available for automating the tests are often not suitable for developer needs, mainly because of the lack of functionality. Therefore, automated testing framework evaluation is needed. With a comparison study provided, developers will able to consider about testing framework that can fit their needs easily. In this study, we selected top 4 most used Android GUI testing frameworks that will be evaluated by using experimental study. Those frameworks are: Espresso, Appium, Calabash and UI Automator. We also selected the criteria used in this study to evaluate those frameworks. We selected those criteria by identified the best criteria to testing Android application base on our literature analysis. The use of smartphone for communication through the Instant Messaging (IM) application has become a dependency and trend model in society. Thus, choosing the right cryptography application to secure data in communicating becomes important. This study analyzes several cryptography applications running on android and iOS platforms, to provide recommendations for users regarding cryptography application that have passed the testing and are able to secure messages so that privacy and confidential communications can be achieved without having to prefer one IM only. In this age of international trade and competition, the aquaculture industry needs to plan and implement a technology that will address issues concerning global food security. In modern aquaculture management, a remote water quality monitoring and computer-controlled intensive culture is the future trend in aquaculture. The objective of this research is to design and develop a real-time mobile-based water temperature monitoring system capable of decreasing the reliance on manpower at the monitoring site to reduce the cost and to assess fish production cycle and fish grow-out system. The system implementation resulted in a monitoring system that collects the current water temperature from the core-controller in real-time. Also, the system provides and displays information that includes normal range, maximum, minimum, average and findings of the collected temperatures. The results obtained in this study has shown the ability of data acquisition in the remote and real-time detection of water temperature accurately and efficiently. This study aims to explore and make user satisfaction model for e-learning using smartphone applications in Mulawarman University. The purpose of the research is to make user satisfaction model for e-learning using smartphone, and to produce and to recommend e-learning content for research and e-learning. The components that would be evaluated in this research are focused on the following matters: User satisfaction for e-Learning using Smartphone; Service quality, Information quality, User participation, and Benefit. Where service quality consists of demeanor, responsiveness, competence and tangible. Information quality consist of completeness, relevancy, accuracy, and currency. User participation consist of training provider, user understanding and participation. Benefit consist of easier to the job and increase productivity. The research method used Path Diagram, Structural Equation Model, Lisrel and Manova Analysis. Total of respondent are 178 students which are consist of 83 females and 95 males. The statistical value in the model of e-learning user satisfaction has a highly significant correlation values and strong construction between variables, which is evidenced by the size of the construct reliability values above 0.70 and the value of its variance extracted 0.50 The model can be considered in developing an e-learning application in the future. In this paper, we present our ongoing project on query contextualization by integrating all possible IoT-based data sources. Most importantly, mobile users are regarded as the IoT sensors which can be the textual data sources with spatio-temporal contexts. Given a large amount of text streams, it has been difficult for the traditional information retrieval systems to conduct the searching tasks. In last years smartphone and tablet devices have been handling an increasing variety of sensitive resources. As a matter of fact, these devices store a plethora of information related to our every-day life, from the contact list, the received email, and also our position during the day (using not only the GPS chipset that can be disabled but only the Wi-Fi/mobile connection it is possible to discover the device geolocalization). This is the reason why mobile attackers are producing a large number of malicious applications targeting Android (that is the most diffused mobile operating system), often by modifying existing applications, which results in malware being organized in families, where each application belonging to the same family exhibit the same malicious behaviour. These behaviours are typically information gathering related, for instance a very widespread malicious behaviour in mobile is represented by sending personal information (as examples: the contact list, the received and send SMSs, the browser history) to a remote server managed by the attackers. In this paper, we investigate whether deep learning algorithms are able to discriminate between malicious and legitimate Android samples. To this end, we designed a method based on convolutional neural network applied to syscalls occurrences through dynamic analysis. We experimentally evaluated the built deep learning classifiers on a recent dataset composed of 7100 real-world applications, more than 3000 of which are widespread malware belonging to several different families in order to test the effectiveness of the proposed method, obtaining encouraging results. On-line understanding human activities can contribute solutions to some problems existing in the smart-city schema such as health-care, urban mobility, or security. Wearable sensors, especially sensors embedded in smartphones, turn to be good data streams for human activity recognition (HAR) tasks. Unfortunately, most of the existing methods are evaluated on small and fixed-size datasets, and lack of data sharing as well as classifiers re-training functions. These issues will lead to the challenge of unadaptable learning when facing problems of volume and variety of data. In order to tackle these problems, this paper proposes a new method with adaptive, interactive, and general-personal-model training components, and data sharing on the cloud. The major advantage of the proposed method is very fast to detect human activities of a new user at the beginning (i.e. deploying a system to a new user) with an acceptable accuracy of detection using the general model. Then, the personal model will help to increase the accuracy of activities detection personally by interacting with users. Another advantage of the proposed method is to share data (e.g. sensory data, models, activities, and user’s profiles) among users/apps joined the system. These data will help to increase the accuracy of models timely by re-training periodically. Besides, the method can be used as a human-activity sensor that streams detected human activities to related components of smart-city scheme. The proposed method is evaluated and compared to de-facto datasets as well as state-of-the-art of HAR using smartphones. This project presents a new approach of humanoid-operated mobile platform. We are using humanoid robot NAO by Aldebaran Robotics. NAO is chosen because of its versatility. Its wide range of movements allows it to perform various tasks such as steering through a simple programming algorithm. The system integration between NAO and the mobile platform is done through using Arduino microcontroller interface. This project consists of several parts. This paper focuses in the implementation of developed control system integration to new mobile platform as an improvement from previous research. We integrate Hokuyo URG-04LX Laser Range Finder in the navigation system and it shows very good result as the platform able to avoid obstacles while navigating. Extracting and analyzing outdoor humans’ activities represent a strong support for several applications fields, ranging from traffic management to marketing and social studies. Mobile users take their devices with them everywhere which leads to an increasing availability of persons’ traces used to recognize their activities. However, mobile environment is distinguished from one to another by its resources limitations. In this paper, we present a novel hybrid approach that combines activity recognition and prediction algorithms in order to online recognize users’ outdoor activities without draining the mobile resources. Our approach minimizes activity computations by wisely reducing the search frequency of activities, we demonstrate that our proposal is capable of reducing the battery consumption up to 60% while maintaining the same accuracy as its similar. Research interest in skyline queries has been significantly increased over the years, as skyline queries can be utilized in many contemporary applications, such as multi-criteria decision-making system, decision support system, recommendation system, data mining, and personalized systems. Skyline queries return data item that is not dominated by any other data items in all dimensions (attributes). Most of the existing skyline approaches assumed that database is complete and values are present during the skyline process. However, such assumption is not always to be true, particularly in a real world database where values of data item might not be available (missing) in one or more dimensions. Thus, the incompleteness of the data impacts negatively on skyline process due to losing the transitivity property which leads into the issue of cyclic dominance. Therefore, applying skyline technique directly on an incomplete database is prohibitive and might result into exhaustive pairwise comparison. This paper presents an approach that efficiently evaluates skyline queries in incomplete database. The approach aims at reducing the number of pairwise comparisons and shortens the searching space in identifying the skylines. Several experiments have been conducted to demonstrate that our approach outperforms the previous approach through producing a lower number of pairwise comparisons. During the last years, the computational capabilities of smart mobile devices have been continuously improved by hardware vendors, raising new opportunities for mobile application engineers. Mobile augmented reality is one scenario demonstrating that smart mobile applications are becoming increasingly mature. In the AREA (Augmented Reality Engine Application) project, we developed a kernel that enables such location-based mobile augmented reality applications. On top of the kernel, mobile application developers can easily realize their individual applications. The kernel, in turn, focuses on robustness and high performance. In addition, it provides a flexible architecture that fosters the development of individual location-based mobile augmented reality applications. In the first stage of the project, the LocationView concept was developed as the core for realizing the kernel algorithms. This LocationView concept has proven its usefulness in the context of various applications, running on iOS, Android, or Windows Phone. Due to the further evolution of computational capabilities on one hand and emerging demands of location-based mobile applications on the other, we developed a new kernel concept. In particular, the new kernel allows for handling points of interests (POI) clusters or enables the use of tracks. These changes required new concepts presented in this paper. To demonstrate the applicability of our kernel, we apply it in the context of various mobile applications. As a result, mobile augmented reality applications could be run on present mobile operating systems and be effectively realized by engineers utilizing our approach. User review is a crucial component of open mobile app market such as Google Play Store. These markets allow users to submit feedback for downloaded apps in the form of a) start ratings and b) opinions in the form of text reviews. Users read these reviews in order to gain insight into the app before they buy or download it. The user opinion about the product also influence on the purchasing decisions of potential users; indeed play a key role in the generation of revenue for the developers. The mobile apps can contain large volumes of reviews and it is impossible for a user to skim through thousands of reviews to find the opinion of other users about the features he/she is interested in. Towards this end, we propose a methodology to automatically extract the features of an app from its corresponding reviews using machine learning technique. Moreover, our proposed methodology aid user to compare the features across multiple apps, using the sentiments, expressed in their associated reviews. The very first phase in software partitioning is to choose an appropriate clustering methodology before moving the clusters to multiple computational nodes since this stage can impact on the distribution of clusters and eventually on the performance of the overall application. In pervasive computing environments, certain memory and cpu intensive applications would prefer to use the computational nodes (anything with at least networking, storage and cpu capabilities) available in the environment. To this end, this paper investigates the very specific area of clustering or partitioning an object-oriented application running on mobile devices. Graph theory has been used to model an application and a cluster analysis algorithm has been proposed. Details about the implementation are covered, followed by a laboratory application partitioning using the proposed approach. The infrastructure organization of large-scale events involves high safety requirements for the visitors and is a central issue for the officials in charge. To assist in dealing with this, we developed the RESCUER app, which runs on smartphones and allows the crowd to report about an emergency, thereby improving the process for rescuing humans in an emergency. For the evaluation of the app, we faced the problem that people participating in a large event, such as a soccer match, are not willing to spend time on completing a long survey or interview. Hence, the goal of this contribution was to select and perform an on-site mobile evaluation approach that fits this context and allows us to evaluate the user interaction. The evaluation took place during the FIFA World Cup 2014 and tested the usability of the app with 112 users in Brazil and in Germany. As a result of the evaluation, we found severe usability issues and concrete insights into how to solve them. The focus of the paper is on providing insights on how ransomware have evolved from its starting till March 2016 by analyzing samples of selected ransomware variants from existing ransomware families in Windows and Android environments. Seventeen Windows and eight Android ransomware families were analyzed. For each ransomware family, at least, three variants belonging to the same family were compared. The analysis revealed that ransomware variants behave in a very similar manner, but use different payloads. Our analysis shows that there has been a significant improvement in encryption techniques used by ransomware. The experimental results in Windows environment demonstrate that detection of ransomware is possible by monitoring abnormal filesystem and registry activities. In Android environment, our analysis reveals that likelihood of ransomware attacks can be reduced by paying a closer attention to permissions requested by the Android applications. Shoulder surfing attack is a great threat on password based authentication technique. As today's world has seen a rapid growth of mobile users thus, latest methodologies which are developed to address this attack preferably should support mobile users. In this paper we have proposed a new shoulder surfing resilient technique, MobSecure , which is designed to be used in smartphone and acts in a partially observable environment (where an auxiliary device is required for authentication). Additionally the proposed method is also capable of avoiding recording based attack for infinite number of authentication sessions. Allowing alphanumeric characters as password is one of the key properties of the proposed scheme here. Android is a name of the Google's mobile operating system (OS) which is largely used around the world. A few years ago, Google released first mobile application for mobile payment system over NFC-enabled Android smartphone. Many researchers then have started their work so far on NFC mobile phone to take its advantage in real implementation, especially, to replace both of existing physical keys and access cards. After Host-based Card Emulation (HCE) was released in Android 4.4, Android phone can be used as an emulated card that, in most previous works, was done on Peer-2-Peer mode and Read/Write mode. According to studies, Android is having the highest market share in smartphone operating systems. The number of Android apps (i.e. applications) are increasing day by day. Consequent threats and attacks on Android are also rising. There are a large number of apps which bypass users by hiding their functionalities and send users sensitive information and data across the network. Due to flexibility and openness of Android operating system, attack surfaces are being introduced every other day. In this paper, we are addressing detection of two fatal malware attacks; intent based hijacking and authenticated session hijacking. We have used the concept of honey-pot in detection of these two authentication hijacking problems. In order to achieve this, we have tested various apps and their interaction with the honey-pot maintained by real device or an emulator. We have designed benign app as a honey framed app. We argue that hijacking malware can be detected with higher accuracy using our method at run-time as compared to the traditional machine learning methods. Our approach, Anti-Hijack, which has provided the detection accuracy as high as 96%. This has been highly accurate to detect the unwanted interaction between hijacking malware and designed benign app. We have tested our approach on a strong data-set of Android apps for experiment and identifying vulnerable points. Driver Fatigue Detection System (called FDS) has been proposed by the authors in a recent work. The FDS aims to monitor the driver and the alertness to prevent them from falling asleep at the wheel. In the present paper, the FDS software is modified to be run in smartphone instead of Laptop which is very hard to fixed in a car and use all advantages of smartphone like camera and late weight. The proposed system will solve this problem by using a mobile phone camera; the phone will be put on a stand in the car to make the driver feels comfortable. The proposed system has hardware and software components such as mobile camera and Android SDK. Both components are integrated together to record real video for the driver, and then processing it for real-time eye tracking. This system has reserve all advantages in FDS like fast and real-time face and eye tracking, external illumination interference is limited, more robustness and accuracy allowance for fast head/face movement. An emerging line of research attempts to reveal underlying mechanisms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by studying differences in sensory processing in individuals with ASD. One sense that has not been studied well yet in this context is proprioception, a sensory system that processes information from muscles and joints about body position and force, and is hypothesized to feed into a body schema that is the foundation for motor planning and purposeful action (praxis). In this paper, we introduce new methods to measure proprioceptive functions of children with ASD. The instruments use force, touch and RGB-D sensors to retrieve data in different test scenarios. Data are transferred to a mobile device or PC and analyzed close to real-time with specifically developed software tools. The instruments were pilot tested with typically developing children to test for functionality and usability of the instruments. They will be used in a larger study with children with ASD. The paper presents a VIPRO versatile, intelligent and mobile platform for robots, using an original virtual projection method which involves the representation of modern mobile robots in a 3D virtual environment using a strong robotic simulator, an open architecture system and adaptive networks over the classical control system of the robot, developing intelligent control interfaces The advanced control technologies adapted to the robot environment such as neutrosophic control, robot Extenics control and robot haptic control are used. The project attempts to create a cell-phone application using Android in order to implement a function generator which generates different A.C. sources (like sine, sawtooth and square) so as to power different circuits. Function generators are available only in labs. Hence, if implemented on phone which is commonly available, it can be used extensively at home or on field. The audio port capability of the cell-phone is also explored in more detail. Replacing the function generator used in the lab with the android based function generator in times of emergency is the ultimate aim of the project and ways and means to accommodate the same along with extensive programming is the scope of this project.
