ECONOMIC development, NATURAL resources, ECONOMIC conditions in China
Abstract
Chapter 5 of the book "Politics & Economics of Indonesia's Natural Resources" is presented. It discusses the economic growth in East Asia, particularly in China, and the possible effect it has on the region's natural resources. It focuses on the economic transformation of China and the decentralization of control over natural resource stocks in the region. It also argues that the production of natural resources, as well as the price of low-skilled labor will be adversely affected by China's growth.
