The article details how the details how the immigration reform which already passed in the U.S. Senate, may fare in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. It argues that the House Judiciary Committee's approval of the Strengthen and Fortify Enforcement (SAFE) Act, essentially a counter-attack on immigration reform was only one indicator of how strongly House Republicans oppose legislation that would allow legal status-and, eventually, citizenship for undocumented immigrants.
