The order Archaeognatha was an ancient group of Hexapoda and was considered as the most primitive of living insects. Two extant families (Meinertellidae and Machilidae) consisted of approximately 500 species. This study determined 3 complete mitochondrial genomes and 2 nearly complete mitochondrial genome sequences of the bristletail. The size of the 5 mitochondrial genome sequences of bristletail were relatively modest, containing 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 2 ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes, 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes and one control region. The gene orders were identical to that of Drosophila yakuba and most bristletail species suggesting a conserved genome evolution within the Archaeognatha. In order to estimate archaeognathan evolutionary relationships, phylogenetic analyses were conducted using concatenated nucleotide sequences of 13 protein-coding genes, with four different computational algorithms (NJ, MP, ML and BI). Based on the results, the monophyly of the family Machilidae was challenged by both datasets (W12 and G12 datasets). The relationships among archaeognathan subfamilies seemed to be tangled and the subfamily Machilinae was also believed to be a paraphyletic group in our study.

A practical anodic and cathodic curve intersection model, which consisted of an apparent anodic curve and an imaginary cathodic line, was proposed to explain multiple corrosion potentials occurred in potentiodynamic polarization curves of Fe-based glassy alloys in alkaline solution. The apparent anodic curve was selected from the measured anodic curves. The imaginary cathodic line was obtained by linearly fitting the differences of anodic curves and can be moved evenly or rotated to predict the number and value of corrosion potentials.

Scaling laws characterize diverse complex systems in a broad range of fields, including physics, biology, finance, and social science. The human language is another example of a complex system of words organization. Studies on written texts have shown that scaling laws characterize the occurrence frequency of words, words rank, and the growth of distinct words with increasing text length. However, these studies have mainly concentrated on the western linguistic systems, and the laws that govern the lexical organization, structure and dynamics of the Chinese language remain not well understood. Here we study a database of Chinese and English language books. We report that three distinct scaling laws characterize words organization in the Chinese language. We find that these scaling laws have different exponents and crossover behaviors compared to English texts, indicating different words organization and dynamics of words in the process of text growth. We propose a stochastic feedback model of words organization and text growth, which successfully accounts for the empirically observed scaling laws with their corresponding scaling exponents and characteristic crossover regimes. Further, by varying key model parameters, we reproduce differences in the organization and scaling laws of words between the Chinese and English language. We also identify functional relationships between model parameters and the empirically observed scaling exponents, thus providing new insights into the words organization and growth dynamics in the Chinese and English language.

Steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs) are effective in the treatment of kidney disease; however, the side effect of hyperkalaemia, particularly in the context of renal impairment, is a major limitation to their clinical use. Recently developed non-steroidal MRAs have distinct characteristics suggesting that they may be superior to steroidal MRAs. Therefore, we explored the benefits of a non-steroidal MRA in a model of rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis.Accelerated anti-glomerular basement membrane (GBM) glomerulonephritis was induced in groups of C57BL/6J mice which received no treatment, vehicle or a non-steroidal MRA (BR-4628, 5mg/kg/bid) from day 0 until being killed on day 15 of disease. Mice were examined for renal injury.Mice with anti-GBM glomerulonephritis which received no treatment or vehicle developed similar disease with severe albuminuria, impaired renal function, glomerular tuft damage and crescents in 40% of glomeruli. In comparison, mice which received BR-4628 displayed similar albuminuria, but had improved renal function, reduced severity of glomerular tuft lesions and a 50% reduction in crescents. The protection seen in BR-4628 treated mice was associated with a marked reduction in glomerular macrophages and T-cells and reduced kidney gene expression of proinflammatory (CCL2, TNF-α, IFN-γ) and profibrotic molecules (collagen I, fibronectin). In addition, treatment with BR-4626 did not cause hyperkalaemia or increase urine Na+/K+ excretion (a marker of tubular dysfunction).The non-steroidal MRA (BR-4628) provided substantial suppression of mouse crescentic glomerulonephritis without causing tubular dysfunction. This finding warrants further investigation of non-steroidal MRAs as a therapy for inflammatory kidney diseases.

Highly polarized cells such as photoreceptors require precise and efficient strategies for establishing and maintaining the proper subcellular distribution of proteins. The signals and molecular machinery that regulate trafficking and sorting of synaptic proteins within cone inner segments is mostly unknown. In this study, we show that the polyphosphoinositide phosphatase Synaptojanin 1 (SynJ1) is critical for this process. We used transgenic markers for trafficking pathways, electron microscopy, and immunocytochemistry to characterize trafficking defects in cones of the zebrafish mutant, nrc(a14) , which is deficient in phosphoinositide phosphatase, SynJ1. The outer segments and connecting cilia of nrc(a14) cone photoreceptors are normal, but RibeyeB and VAMP2/synaptobrevin, which normally localize to the synapse, accumulate in the nrc(a14) inner segment. The structure of the Endoplasmic Reticulum in nrc(a14) mutant cones is normal. Golgi develop normally, but later become disordered. Large vesicular structures accumulate within nrc(a14) cone photoreceptor inner segments, particularly after prolonged incubation in darkness. Cone inner segments of nrc (a14) mutants also have enlarged acidic vesicles, abnormal late endosomes, and a disruption in autophagy. This last pathway also appears exacerbated by darkness. Taken altogether, these findings show that SynJ1 is required in cones for normal endolysosomal trafficking of synaptic proteins.

Gastric cancer is associated with chronic inflammation and Helicobacter pylori infection. Th17 cells are CD4(+) T cells associated with infections and inflammation; but their role and mechanism of induction during carcinogenesis is not understood. Gastric myofibroblasts/fibroblasts (GMF) are abundant class II MHC expressing cells that act as novel antigen presenting cells. Here we have demonstrated the accumulation of Th17 in H. pylori-infected human tissues and in the gastric tumor microenvironment. GMF isolated from human gastric cancer and H. pylori infected tissues co-cultured with CD4(+) T cells induced substantially higher levels of Th17 than GMF from normal tissues in an IL-6, TGF-β, and IL-21 dependent manner. Th17 required interaction with class II MHC on GMF for activation and proliferation. These studies suggest that Th17 are induced during both H. pylori infection and gastric cancer in the inflammatory milieu of gastric stroma and may be an important link between inflammation and carcinogenesis.

Pseudosasa subsolida belongs to the Pseudosasa genus within the Poaceae family. Due to its unique flowering cycle and the physiological traits associated with asexual reproduction, acquiring floral material from P. subsolida is particularly challenging. To investigate the causes of the low seed set rate in P. subsolida, floral organs and the development of male and female gametes were examined using conventional paraffin sectioning. The results revealed that the spikelet of P. subsolida exhibited the characteristics of a pseudospikelet with a latent bud, while the inflorescence displayed traits of an infinite inflorescence. Each spikelet contained approximately 10-16 florets and was accompanied by two bracts at its base. The fundamental structure of the florets comprised one lemma, one palea, three lodicules, three stamens, and one pistil. At the later stages of anther development, some abnormalities were observed, including the failure of pollen grains to form, deformation and shrinkage of the cells in the anther sac and tapetum, loss of the cells in the middle layer, cavitation of the microspores, and no identifiable contents The study concluded that the primary factor contributing to the low seed setting rate of P. subsolida was the aberrant development of male gametophytes. Background: It is crucial to comprehend the interplay between air pollution and meteorological conditions in relation to population health within the framework of "dual-carbon" targets. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of intricate environmental factors, encompassing both meteorological conditions and atmospheric pollutants, on respiratory disease (RD) mortality in Qingdao, a representative coastal city in China., Methods: The RD mortality cases were collected from the Chronic Disease Surveillance Monitoring System in Qingdao during Jan 1st, 2014 and Dec 31st, 2020. The distributed-lag nonlinear model and generalized additivity model were used to assess the association between daily mean temperature (DMT), air pollutant exposure and RD mortality. To ascertain the robustness of the model and further investigate this relationship, a stratified analysis and sensitivity analysis were conducted to mitigate potential confounding factors., Results: A total of 19,905 mortalities from RD were recorded. The minimum mortality temperature (MMT) was determined to be 23.5°C, and DMT and RD mortality showed an N-shaped relationship. At the MMT of 23.5°C, the cumulative relative risk (cumRR) for mortality within a lag period of 0-14 days from the highest temperature (31°C) was estimated at 2.114 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.475 ~ 3.028). The effect value of particulate matter (PM) also increased with a longer cumulative lag time. In the single pollutant model, the highest risk of RD mortality was observed on the lag1-day of per 10 μg/m3 increase in PM2.5 exposure, with an excess risk ratio (ER) of 0.847% (95% CI: 0.335% ~ 1.362%). The largest cumulative effect was found at a lag of 8 days, with an ER of 1.546% (95% CI: 0.483% ~ 2.621%). A similar trend was found for PM10. For O3 exposure, the highest risk was observed on the lag1-day of per 10 μg/m3 increase, with an ER of 1.073% (95% CI: 0.502% ~ 1.647%), and the largest cumulative effect occurred at a lag of 2 days with an ER of 1.113% (95%CI: 0.386% ~ 1.844%). Results from the dual-pollutants model demonstrated that the effect of PM on the risk of RD mortality remained significant and slightly increased in magnitude. Moreover, composite pollutants exhibited a higher risk effect, reaching its peak after one week; however, there was a decrease in single-day cumulative effects as more pollutant types were included. Subgroup analysis showed that females, elderly individuals, and those exposed during warm seasons demonstrated greater susceptibility to PM exposure., Conclusion: The present study revealed a significant association between short-term exposure to high temperature, PM2.5, PM10 and O3 and the risk of RD mortality in Qingdao, even in dual- and composite-pollutants models. To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of artificial intelligence (AI) assisted radiologists and standard double-reading in real-world clinical settings for rib fractures (RFs) detection on CT images. This study included 243 consecutive chest trauma patients (mean age, 58.1 years; female, 166) with rib CT scans. All CT scans were interpreted by two radiologists. The CT images were re-evaluated by primary readers with AI assistance in a blinded manner. Reference standards were established by two musculoskeletal radiologists. The re-evaluation results were then compared with those from the initial double-reading. The primary analysis focused on demonstrate superiority of AI-assisted sensitivity and the noninferiority of specificity at patient level, compared to standard double-reading. Secondary endpoints were at the rib and lesion levels. Stand-alone AI performance was also assessed. The influence of patient characteristics, report time, and RF features on the performance of AI and radiologists was investigated. At patient level, AI-assisted radiologists significantly improved sensitivity by 25.0% (95% CI: 10.5, 39.5; P < 0.001 for superiority), compared to double-reading, from 69.2% to 94.2%. And, the specificity of AI-assisted diagnosis (100%) was noninferior to double-reading (98.2%) with a difference of 1.8% (95% CI: -3.8, 7.4; P = 0.999 for noninferiority). The diagnostic accuracy of both radiologists and AI was influenced by patient gender, rib number, fracture location, and fracture type. Radiologist performance was affected by report time, whereas AI's diagnostic accuracy was influenced by patient age and the side of the rib involved. Using the Ordos Basin dry sandstone and sandstone saturated with different saline concentrations as research subjects, a self-developed constant temperature and pressure CO2 injection simulation device was employed to conduct permeability tests on sandstone under varying effective stresses and CO2 injection pressures. The test results indicated that during the CO2 injection process, the permeability of dry sandstone was two orders of magnitude higher than that of sandstones saturated with different saline concentrations. When the effective stress increases from 10 MPa to 28 MPa, the fissure compressibility of reservoir sandstone is influenced by the saturation of different saline concentrations, with the compressibility coefficients for 0%, 15%, and 30% saline-saturated sandstone being 0.00495 MPa⁻1, 0.00614 MPa⁻1, and 0.01879 MPa⁻1, respectively. The primary reasons for the reduced permeability of sandstone are as follows: supercritical CO2 lowers the mechanical properties of sandstone; high-concentration saline induces crystallization within the sandstone, resulting in a blockage effect. The digital economy injects new vitality into rural revitalization and new-type urbanization to achieve rural industrial transformation, while the countryside and the city provide the soil for the development of the digital economy. This research establishes the rural revitalization (RR), new-type urbanization (NU), and digital economy (DE) system and uses the coupled coordination degree (CCD) model and obstacle degree (OD) model to study the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics and obstacle factors of the composite system in China from 2011 to 2021. The result showed that: (1) the comprehensive development level of the composite systems is on an upward trend year by year, but still shows a low-quality state; (2) the CCD of China's provinces shows a spatial evolution pattern of high in the east and low in the west; (3) The obstacle factors of the RR, NU, DE subsystem are mainly involved the number of rural doctors and health workers, local financial income per capita and science and technology expenditure, and the digital finance coverage breadth index. E-commerce faces challenges such as content homogenization and high perceived risk among users. This paper aims to predict perceived risk in different contexts by analyzing review content and website information. Based on a dataset containing 262,752 online reviews, we employ the KeyBERT-TextCNN model to extract thematic features from the review content. Subsequently, we combine these thematic features with product and merchant characteristics. Using the PCA-K-medoids-XGBoost algorithm, we developed a predictive model for perceived risk. In the feature extraction phase, we identified 11 key features that influence perceived risk in online shopping. During the prediction phase, the model performs excellently across different sample types in the test set, achieving a precision (P) of 84%, a recall (R) of 86%, and an F1 score of 85%. Through the model's interpretability analysis, we find that quality, functionality, and price are key features affecting perceived risk for electronic products. In the case of skincare products, skin safety is the most critical feature. The cervical uncinate process is a unique structure of the cervical spine that undergoes significant changes in its morphological characteristics with age, and these changes may be related to osteoporosis. This study aimed to observe the distribution of cancellous bone in the cervical uncinate process and its morphological features using micro-computed tomography (Micro-CT) to gain a deeper understanding of the morphological characteristics of the uncinate microstructure. We performed Micro-CT scans on 31 sets of C3-C7 vertebrae, a total of 155 intact bone samples, and subsequently used the measurement software with the Micro-CT system to obtain parameters related to the cancellous bone of the uncinate process. We found that the cancellous bone of the uncinate process was predominantly longitudinally cross-aligned and continuous with the cancellous bone within the vertebral body. Comparisons between the left and right sides of each parameter showed significant differences only in the bone surface area, and the peaks of each parameter were primarily concentrated in C4-C6. Purpose: Stroke is one of the leading causes of acquired disability in adults in high-income countries. This study aims to determine the intervention effects of robot-assisted task-oriented training on enhancing the upper limb function and daily living skills of stroke patients., Methods: A systematic search was conducted across PubMed, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, and Scopus databases through March 1, 2024. This process yielded 1,649 articles, from which 15 studies with 574 samples met the inclusion criteria for analysis. The quality of the included studies was evaluated using the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool. We performed meta-analyses, subgroup analyses, regression analyses, and sensitivity analyses using Review Manager 5.4 and Stata 17.0. Furthermore, publication bias was assessed using Begg's and Egger's tests. This study is registered with PROSPERO (No. CRD42024513483)., Results: A random effects model was utilized. The results indicated that robot-assisted task-oriented training significantly improved Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Upper Extremity scores compared to the control group [SMD = 1.01, 95% CI (0.57, 1.45)]. Similarly, robot-assisted task-oriented training demonstrated a significant effect on the Modified Barthel Index scores [SMD = 0.61, 95% CI (0.41, 0.82)]. Subgroup and regression analyses revealed that the use of combined interventions, the geographical region of the first author, and the age of the subjects did not appear to be sources of high heterogeneity. Publication bias tests using the FMA-UE as an outcome measure yielded Begg's test (p = 0.76) and Egger's test (p = 0.93), suggesting no significant publication bias. Dual carbon targets is the key to sustainable development in China and even the world, so how to achieve green low-carbon economy is a general trend. As an important guarantee for carbon emission reduction, green technology innovation is essential for promoting the development of green economy. The analysis of the internal mechanism of green technology innovation affecting carbon emission reduction will help provide the development direction for green technology innovation, help China's carbon neutrality and carbon peak goals as soon as possible, and contribute Chinese wisdom to the sustainable development of the world. This study innovatively adds the carbon market vitality in measuring carbon reduction capacity, and the study extends the previous carbon reduction capacity to expand the influence of green technology innovation and is more practical, and explores the relationship between green technology innovation and carbon reduction capacity. Based on 30 provinces in China from 2006 to 2021, SDM and panel threshold model are constructed to analyze the spatial spillover effect of green technology innovation and carbon emission reduction ability, the threshold characteristics of green technology innovation on carbon emission reduction ability. The results show the carbon emission reduction capacity of Chinese provinces and cities has been increasing year by year, showing the situation of "leading in eastern China, rising of central China, and catching up with western China". Green technology innovation and carbon emission reduction capacity show positive spatial correlation, which is manifested in the fact that green technology innovation not only reduces the carbon emission reduction capacity of the region effectively but also has significant spatial spillover characteristics on promoting the carbon emission reduction capacity of the neighboring regions. Also, green technology innovation have a double threshold effect on carbon emission reduction capacity, which means its influence on carbon emission reduction capacity is obviously strengthened. An imbalance in lymphatic fluid, whether it is caused by generation, transport, outflow, or dysfunctional vessels, can lead to lymphedema; however, the exact pathogenesis of this disease remains unclear. To explore the mechanism, we focused on the association among TRPML1, aquaporin-3 (AQP3), and aquaporin-5 (AQP5) in human lymphatic endothelial cells (HLECs). We explored the role of TRPML1 in altering the permeability of HLECs in lymphedema. Meanwhile, we constructed a disease model using gene-knockout mice to observe the effect of TRPML1 on inflammation and fibrosis in lymphedema sites. Our results indicate that TRPML1 not only regulates the localization of AQP3, -5 to the cell membrane but also increases HLEC permeability, disrupts lymphatic fluid transport, and mediates the development of chronic inflammation at the site of lymphedema. Our study suggests that TRPML1 is a precipitating factor in lymphedema. Intercropping systems offer substantial benefits in crop yield nd nutrient absorption. Utilizing logistic models, we simulated the dynamic of nutrient uptake and accumulation in spring wheat and the impact of different planting patterns and compound fertilizer application rates on spring wheat yield. We conducted a field experiment involving two planting patterns: spring wheat monoculture (MS) and spring wheat-pea intercropping (MI), with five compound fertilizer applications: C0 (0 kg ha-1), C1 (480 kg ha-1), C2 (540 kg ha-1), C3 (600 kg ha-1), and C4 (660 kg ha-1). We assessed spring wheat yield and aboveground nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) accumulation under different planting patterns and fertilization treatments. Results revealed that intercropping significantly increased spike number, grains per spike, and grain yield of spring wheat by 3.7%, 6.3%, and 13.3%, respectively, compared to monoculture. Fertilization treatments notably enhanced average spring wheat grain yield, with C2 performing optimally. Logistic model analysis indicated that under intercropping, the maximum accumulated aboveground N and N uptake rate (v) of spring wheat was 11.4% and 13.2% higher, and the maximum accumulated P and maximum P uptake rate (Vmax) were 11.3% and 9.5% higher, respectively, compared to monoculture. Intercropped spring wheat under C2 exhibited the highest P accumulation among all treatments. In conclusion, both intercropping and fertilization can enhance N and P uptake and accumulation in spring wheat, thereby boosting yield. Optimized yield can be achieved under C2 (540 kg h-1) with a 10% reduction in fertilizer application. Purpose: This study aims to quantitatively analyze the impact of split times on overall performance in standard distance triathlon events. It also examines how environmental factors such as water type, temperature, and altitude affect overall race outcomes., Methods: Quantile regression was employed to analyze the race records of 1,580 triathletes participating in 46 standard distance events in China., Results: Swim time significantly influences race performance among the top 50% of elite athletes (p < 0.05). For slower elite athletes, bike time is more critical. Temperature has a positive effect on race times, while altitude also shows a significant positive impact, with race times decreasing as altitude increases (up to 1,600 meters in this study's dataset). This study presents the case of China's Jiangsu Province. The spatial-temporal pattern evolution of different manufacturing sectors is discussed using spatial analysis technology (spatial autocorrelation and standard deviation ellipses). The Granger test is used to analyze the relationship between the change in the manufacturing industry spatial agglomeration and regional economic differences. The following conclusions are drawn: 1) The spatial agglomeration trend of most manufacturing sectors is weakening. Much of the manufacturing sector, like the rubber and plastic product industries, has been transferred from southern to northern Jiangsu. 2) From the scale, only a minority of these enterprises possess substantial registered capital. The capital injection scale of more manufacturing enterprises is insignificant. At the same time, manufacturing companies with substantial financial resources are increasingly inclined to choose less-concentrated areas when choosing new investment areas. 3) The reduction of regional economic differences is considered to be the Granger-cause for the decline of the spatial agglomeration degree of the manufacturing industry in Jiangsu Province. Flow cytometry enables quantitative measurements of fluorescence in single cells. The technique was widely used for immunology to identify populations with different surface protein markers. More recently, the usage of flow cytometry has been extended to additional readouts, including intracellular proteins and fluorescent protein transgenes, and is widely utilized to study developmental biology, systems biology, microbiology, and many other fields. A common file format (FCS format, defined by the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC)) has been universally adopted, facilitating data exchange between different machines. A diverse spectrum of software packages has been developed for the analysis of flow cytometry data. However, those are either 1) costly proprietary softwares, 2) open source packages with prerequisite installation of R or Python and sometimes require users to have experience in coding, or 3) online tools that are limiting for analysis of large data sets. Here, we present EasyFlow, an open-source flow cytometry analysis graphic user interface (GUI) based on Matlab or Python, that can be installed and run locally across platforms (Windows, MacOS, and Linux) without requiring previous coding knowledge. The Python version (EasyFlowQ) is also developed on a popular plotting framework (Matplotlib) and modern user interface toolkit (Qt), allowing more advanced users to customize and keep contributing to the software, as well as its tutorials. When insects harm plants, they activate relevant enzyme systems for defense, and changes in enzyme activity, to a certain extent, reflect the host plant's ability to resist insect damage. Alfalfa leaf weevils (Hypera postica Gyllenhal) are the main economic insect pest of alfalfa, which seriously affect its yield and quality. To clarify the effects of feeding induction by alfalfa leaf weevil larvae and adults on defense enzymes in alfalfa, 'Zhongmu No. 1' variety was used as the experimental material. Comprehensive correlation analysis and principal component analysis were used to evaluate the corresponding patterns of 12 physiological indicators of alfalfa induced by insect feeding of different densities. The objective of this study was to identify the prevalence and correlates of phosphatidylethanol (PEth) levels suggestive of unhealthy alcohol use among women living with and without HIV who self-reported no or low-risk drinking. We analyzed data from a cross-sectional study among women enrolled in the San Francisco Bay Area site of the Women's Interagency HIV Study (WIHS). Between October 2017 and March 2018, PEth was tested from dried blood spots in 192 women enrolled in the San Francisco site of the WIHS. Using multivariable logistic regression, we identified the correlates of PEth levels suggestive of unhealthy alcohol use (>50 ng/ml) among the 168 women who reported no or low-risk drinking (<7 drinks per week) in the past six months, while controlling for age in years and race/ethnicity. Among the 168 women in the analysis sample, the median age was 55; 51% identified as Black/African American, 47% were living with HIV and 28% had PEth levels ≥50 ng/ml which are suggestive of unhealthy alcohol use. Factors independently associated with PEth levels ≥50 ng/ml in adjusted models were: identifying as Black/African American (adjusted odds ratio [aOR] = 8.34, 95% CI = 2.06-33.72), having an alanine transaminase to aspartate aminotransferase ratio > 1 (aOR = 3.10, 95% CI = 1.18-8.13), higher high-density lipoprotein levels (aOR = 1.31 per 10 mg/dL increase, 95% CI = 1.01-1.70), and consuming a greater number of drinks per week in the past six months (aOR = 1.40, 95% CI = 1.10-1.78). Nearly a third of women in this study had PEth levels suggestive of unhealthy alcohol use and potentially under-reported their use. As a critical component in mechanical systems, the operational status of rolling bearings plays a pivotal role in ensuring the stability and safety of the entire system. However, in practical applications, the fault diagnosis of rolling bearings often encounters limitations due to the constraint of sample size, leading to suboptimal diagnostic accuracy. This article proposes a rolling bearing fault diagnosis method based on an improved denoising diffusion probability model (DDPM) to address this issue. The practical value of this research lies in its ability to address the limitation of small sample sizes in rolling bearing fault diagnosis. By leveraging DDPM to generate one-dimensional vibration data, the proposed method significantly enriches the datasets and consequently enhances the generalization capability of the diagnostic model. During the model training process, we innovatively introduce the feature differences between the original vibration data and the predicted vibration data generated based on prediction noise into the loss function, making the generated data more directional and targeted. In addition, this article adopts a one-dimensional convolutional neural network (1D-CNN) to construct a fault diagnosis model to more accurately extract and focus on key feature information related to faults. The experimental results show that this method can effectively improve the accuracy and reliability of rolling bearing fault diagnosis, providing new ideas and methods for fault detection and prevention in industrial applications. G0 arrest (G0A) is widely recognized as a crucial factor contributing to tumor relapse. The role of genes related to G0A in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) was unclear. This study aimed to develop a gene signature based on for LUAD patients and investigate its relationship with prognosis, tumor immune microenvironment, and therapeutic response in LUAD. We use the TCGA-LUAD database as the discovery cohort, focusing specifically on genes associated with the G0A pathway. We used various statistical methods, including Cox and lasso regression, to develop the model. We validated the model using bulk transcriptome and single-cell transcriptome datasets (GSE50081, GSE72094, GSE127465, GSE131907 and EMTAB6149). We used GSEA enrichment and the CIBERSORT algorithm to gain insight into the annotation of the signaling pathway and the characterization of the tumor microenvironment. We evaluated the response to immunotherapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy in these patients. The expression of six genes was validated in cell lines by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). Our study successfully established a six-gene signature (CHCHD4, DUT, LARP1, PTTG1IP, RBM14, and WBP11) that demonstrated significant predictive power for overall survival in patients with LUAD. It demonstrated independent prognostic value in LUAD. To enhance clinical applicability, we developed a nomogram based on this gene signature, which showed high reliability in predicting patient outcomes. Furthermore, we observed a significant association between G0A-related risk and tumor microenvironment as well as drug susceptibility, highlighting the potential of the gene signature to guide personalized treatment strategies. A modified QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe) -LC-MS/MS method was developed for the determination of hexachlorophene in fruits and vegetables. Samples were extracted by acetonitrile and then salted with an acetate buffer system. Extractants neutral alumina (Al-N), strong cation exchange silica gel bonded adsorbent (SCX) and graphitized carbon black (GCB) were used for sample purification. The method demonstrates excellent accuracy and reproducibility. Under optimized conditions, the correlation coefficients of hexachlorophene were higher than 0.995 in the range of 0.5-20 ng/mL. The limit of quantification (LOQ) was 2.0 μg/kg. The karst plateau is dominated by mountainous and hilly landforms, with low mechanization level of cropland, high difficulty of cultivation, and obvious phenomenon of cropland abandonment, which threatens regional food security. This study aims to analyze the spatial-temporal variation and its driving mechanisms of abandoned cropland in the Karst Plateau in Eastern Yunnan, China (KPEYC) between 2001 and 2020. To achieve this goal, 18 key factors from population, economic environment, cropland attributes, and farming conditions are selected. Moreover, correlation analysis, geodetector, and regression analysis methods are applied from three perspectives: temporal change, spatial distribution and spatial-temporal change. The results show that: (i) The cropland abandonment rate (CAR) in the KPEYC shows a fluctuating trend, with an average value of 9.78%, and the spatial distribution shows a pattern of "high in the center and low in the south and north". (ii) From the perspective of temporal change, gross value of agricultural production, and gross value of industrial production have the largest correlation coefficients with CAR. (iii) The explanatory power of gross tertiary industrial production, gross value of industrial production, followed by soil thickness. (iv) Gross value of agricultural production, and gross tertiary industrial production are the core driving forces for the spatial-temporal change of CAR. The higher the gross value of agricultural production and gross tertiary industrial production, the lower the CAR. elevation, soil thickness, and traffic mileage are the main driving factors for the spatial-temporal change of CAR. The study indicates that economic factors are decisive for cropland abandonment in the KPEYC. Background: Endometriosis, a complex gynecological condition, involves inflammation and immune dysregulation. The vaginal microbiota, characterized by its diversity, is an integral part of the vaginal microecology-interacting with vaginal anatomy, the endocrine system, and local mucosal immunity. Imbalances in this microecology are known to precipitate various inflammatory diseases. Despite extensive research, the connection between vaginal microbiota dysbiosis and endometriosis remains a subject of debate. Our study assesses the association between vaginal microecology dysbiosis and endometriosis., Methods: We systematically searched major electronic databases in English, including Embase, PubMed, The Cochrane Library, MEDLINE (Ovid), BIOSIS (Ovid), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and Wanfang, up to August 15, 2023. Selected articles underwent screening based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Normal vaginal microecology was defined as a negative Amsel/Spiegel test or Nugent score of 0-3, or Lactobacillus predominance determined by 16S rRNA gene amplification sequencing. Deviations from this norm were classified as dysbiosis, further categorized into bacterial vaginosis (BV) and intermediate BV. Data analysis utilized Revman 5.4, with effect sizes presented as Odds Ratios (OR) and 95% Confidence Intervals (CI)., Results: Out of 1081 articles, eight met the inclusion criteria. Utilizing fixed-effect models due to low heterogeneity, the analysis revealed a positive association between dysbiosis and endometriosis (OR = 1.17, 95% CI 0.81-1.70; I2 = 0%), but showed a slight negative association between normal vaginal microecology with endometriosis (OR = 0.90, 95% CI 0.55-1.46; I2 = 29%). However, the association was not significant. The ideal surgical approach for treating cardia gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) is not clearly established. This study aimed to assess the long-term survival results among patients who received endoscopic therapy (ET) or surgical resection (SR) for cardia GIST. Cardia GIST patients from 2000 to 2019 were selected from the surveillance, epidemiology, and end result (SEER) database. Multiple imputation (MI) was applied to handle missing data, and propensity score matching (PSM) was carried out to mitigate selection bias during comparisons. Demographic and clinical characteristics' effects on overall survival (OS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) were assessed using Kaplan-Meier analyses and multivariate Cox proportional hazard models. A total of 330 patients with cardia GIST were enrolled, including 47 (14.2%) patients with ET and 283 (85.8%) patients with SR. The 5-year OS and CSS rates in the ET and SR groups were comparable [before PSM, (OS) (76.1% vs. 81.2%, P = 0.722), (CSS) (95.0% vs. 89.3%, P = 0.186); after PSM, (OS) (75.4% vs. 85.4%, P = 0.540), (CSS) (94.9% vs. 92.0%, P = 0.099)]. Moreover, there was no significant difference between ET and SR in terms of long-term OS (hazard ratio [HR] 0.735, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.422-1.282) and CSS (HR 1.560, 95% CI 0.543-4.481). The measurement of chemical oxygen demand (COD) is very important in the process of sewage treatment. The value of COD reflects the effectiveness and trend of sewage treatment to a certain extent, but obtaining accurate data requires high cost and labor intensity. To1 solve this problem, this paper proposes an online soft measurement method for COD based on Convolutional Neural Network-Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory Network-Attention Mechanism (CNN-BiLSTM-Attention) algorithm. Firstly, by analyzing the mechanism of the aerobic tank stage in the Anaerobic-Anoxic-Oxic (A2O) wastewater treatment process, the selection range of input variables was preliminarily determined, and the collected sample dataset was subjected to correlation analysis. Finally, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), electrical conductivity (EC), and water temperature (T) were determined as input variables for soft measurement prediction of COD.Then, based on the feature extraction ability of CNN and the advantage that BiLSTM is able to capture the backward and forward dependencies in time series data, combined with the attention mechanism that can assign higher weights to the key data, a CNN-BiLSTM-Attention algorithm model was established to soft measure COD in the effluent from the aerobic zone of the A2O wastewater treatment process. At the same time, root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and coefficient of determination (R2) were utilized Three indicators were used to evaluate the model, and the results showed that the model can accurately predict the value of COD and has a high accuracy. This paper studied an integrated process planning and scheduling problem from a machining workshop for large-size valves in a valve manufacturing plant. Large-size valves usually contain several key parts and are generally produced in small-series production. Almost all the parts need to be manufactured in the same workshop at the same time in the plant. Facilities have to handle various items in one order, including different models, sizes, and types. It is a classical NP-hard problem on a large scale. An improved NSGA-II algorithm is suggested to obtain satisfactory solutions for makespan and manufacturing costs, which involve large optimization parameters and interactions. A two-section encoding method and an inserting greedy decoding method are chosen to enable the algorithm. The dynamic population update strategy based on dynamic population update and the adaptive mutation technique depending on the population entropy changing rate are selected for enhancing both the solution quality and population diversity. The methodology was successfully implemented in a real-life case at a major valve machining workshop operated by Yuanda Valve Company in China. Background: The relationship between plant-based diets and gallstone disease has been debated. This study aimed to shed light on the association between plant-based dietary index and the risk of developing gallstone disease., Methods: Eligible participants were selected from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2017-2020. Three plant-based diet indexes (PDI, healthy PDI, unhealthy PDI) were calculated using data from two NHANES 24-h dietary recall interviews. Restricted Cubic Spline and multivariate logistic regression were used to analyze the associations. Subgroup analysis was adopted to make the results more robust., Results: A total of 5673 eligible participants were analyzed. After adjusting for various confounding variables, uPDI was positively associated with gallstone disease (OR = 1.53, 95%CI: 1.02-2.29). Objective: The study aims to explore the driving forces behind physical activity engagement among patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, focusing on motivation, opportunity, and capability., Design: A phenomenological qualitative study applied the motivation, opportunity, and capability model, conducted in two respiratory units of a Chinese university hospital., Methods: Participants, selected by age, gender, and illness duration, included inpatients during the interview sessions and those recently discharged within six months. One-on-one semi-structured interviews were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed by the Colaizzi seven-step method., Results: Seventeen participants diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for over one year aged between 66 (range: 42-96) participated. Objective: To date, it remains a challenge to conduct maxillary sinus floor elevation (MSFE) owing to heterogeneity of anatomical structures and limited operative visibility of the maxillary sinus. The aim of this study is to investigate the safety of MSFE and the accuracy of implant placement using dynamic navigation., Methods: Forty-two implants were placed in thirty-five patients requiring implantation in posterior maxilla with dynamic navigation. They were assigned to either lateral window sinus floor elevation (LWSFE) group (n = 22) or transcrestal sinus floor elevation (TSFE) group (n = 20) according to the residual alveolar bone height (RBH). Platform deviation, apex deviation and angular deviation between actual and planned implant placement were measured in precision evaluation software. Three deviations of two groups were compared via SPSS 22.0 software., Results: Neither accidental bleeding nor perforation of Schneiderian membrane occurred in any patients. The actual window position of LWSFE was consistent with the preoperative design. There were no significant differences in platform, apex and angular deviations between the two groups (P > 0.05)., Conclusion: In this study the dynamic navigation harvested clinically acceptable safety of MSFE and accuracy for implant placement in posterior maxillary region. Background: The global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic extends beyond physical health, significantly affecting mental health. Chinese overseas students are particularly susceptible to the adverse psychological effects of the pandemic. Understanding the prevalence and correlates of mental disorders in this population is essential for developing targeted interventions and support systems., Methods: Employing a snowball sampling technique, this study recruited Chinese overseas students from diverse regions. The 50-item Self-evaluation Table was utilized to assess the presence of mental disorders. Descriptive statistics, including percentages, 95% confidence intervals, means, and standard deviations, characterized the survey population. The chi-square test identified disparities among categorical variables, while logistic regression explored risk factors for mental disorders among Chinese overseas students., Results: Out of the total sample size of 10,864 Chinese overseas students, a staggering 7,090 (65.4%) met the diagnostic criteria for mental disorders. Furthermore, the degree of mental disorder varied significantly across different regions (p < 0.001), education levels (p < 0.05), the duration of anti-epidemic measures (p < 0.05), and age (p < 0.05), while no significant differences were observed in terms of gender (p > 0.05). Several risk factors contributing to the mental disorder burden among Chinese overseas students during the pandemic were identified, including the seriousness of the epidemic in their residential area, the apprehension of getting infected, anxieties regarding academic performance, the infection control policies implemented by the host government, preventive measures taken locally to counter the epidemic, and challenges encountered in returning to their home country., Conclusion: Given the significant challenges in mental health faced by Chinese overseas students during the COVID-19 crisis, addressing their specific needs and implementing tailored measures is imperative. Glutathione peroxidase 2 (GPX2) is a selenium-dependent enzyme and protects cells against oxidative damage. Recently, GPX2 has been identified as a candidate gene for backfat and feed efficiency in pigs. However, it is unclear whether GPX2 regulates the development of porcine preadipocytes and skeletal muscle cells. In this study, adenoviral gene transfer was used to overexpress GPX2. Our findings suggest that overexpression of GPX2 gene inhibited proliferation of porcine preadipocytes. And the process is accompanied by the reduction of the p-p38. GPX2 inhibited adipogenic differentiation and promoted lipid degradation, while ERK1/2 was reduced and p-p38 was increased. Proliferation of porcine skeletal muscle cells was induced after GPX2 overexpression, was accompanied by activation in JNK, ERK1/2, and p-p38. Overexpression methods confirmed that GPX2 has a promoting function in myoblastic differentiation. ERK1/2 pathway was activated and p38 was suppressed during the process. This paper presents an optimized preparation process for external ointment using the Definitive Screening Design (DSD) method. The ointment is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by Professor WYH, a renowned TCM practitioner in Jiangsu Province, China, known for its proven clinical efficacy. In this study, a stepwise regression model was employed to analyze the relationship between key process factors (such as mixing speed and time) and rheological parameters. Machine learning techniques, including Monte Carlo simulation, decision tree analysis, and Gaussian process, were used for parameter optimization. Through rigorous experimentation and verification, we have successfully identified the optimal preparation process for WYH ointment. The optimized parameters included drug ratio of 24.5%, mixing time of 8 min, mixing speed of 1175 rpm, petroleum dosage of 79 g, liquid paraffin dosage of 6.7 g. The final ointment formulation was prepared using method B. This research not only contributes to the optimization of the WYH ointment preparation process but also provides valuable insights and practical guidance for designing the preparation processes of other TCM ointments. Setaria italica (S. italica, Linnaeus, 1753) is a drought-resistant, barren-tolerant, and widely adapted C-4 crop that plays a vital role in maintaining agricultural and economic stability in arid and barren regions of the world. However, the potential habitat of S. italica under current and future climate scenarios remains to be explored. Predicting the potential global geographic distribution of S. italica and clarifying its ecological requirements can help promote sustainable agriculture, which is crucial for addressing the global food crisis. In this study, we predicted the potential global geographic distribution of S. italica based on 3,154 global distribution records using the Maxent model and ArcGIS software. We assessed the constraints on its potential distribution based on the contribution of environmental factors variables. The predictive accuracy of the Maxent model was evaluated using AUC values, TSS values, and Kappa statistics, respectively. The results showed that the Maxent model had a high prediction accuracy, and the simulation results were also reliable; the total suitable habitats of S. italica is 5.54×107 km2, which mainly included the United States (North America), Brazil (South America), Australia (Oceania), China, India (Asia), and the Russian Federation (Europe). The most suitable habitat of S. italica was 0.52×107 km2, accounting for 9.44% of the total areas, mainly in the United States, India, the Russian Federation, and China. Soil and precipitation (driest monthly precipitation, hottest seasonal precipitation) are the most critical factors limiting the potential distribution of S. italica. Compared with the modern potential distribution, we predict that the four future climate change scenarios will result in varying reductions in the possible geographic ranges of S. italica. For the purpose of determining the placement of Calyptraeidae within the Littorinimorpha, we hereby furnish a thorough analysis of the mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) sequence of Desmaulus extinctorium. This mitogenome spans 16,605 base pairs and encompasses the entire set of 37 genes, including 13 PCGs, 22 tRNAs and two rRNAs, with an evident AT bias. Notably, tRNASer1 and tRNASer2 lack dihydrouracil (DHU) arms, resulting in an inability to form a secondary structure. Similarly, tRNAAla lacks a TΨC arm, rendering it incapable of forming a secondary structure. In contrast, the remaining tRNAs demonstrate a characteristic secondary structure reminiscent of a cloverleaf. A comparison with ancestral gastropods reveals distinct differences in three gene clusters (or genes), encompassing 15 tRNAs and eight PCGs. Notably, inversions and translocations represent the major types of rearrangements observed in D. extinctorium. Phylogenetic analysis demonstrates robust support for a monophyletic grouping of all Littorinimorpha species, with D. extinctorium representing a distinct Calyptraeoidea clade. In the current global context, digital finance (DF) and sustainable economic development (SED) are important topics. The synergies between DF and SED have already been proven. However, the measurement and quantitative analysis of the coupling coordination degree (CCD) of DF and SED have not received sufficient attention to date. Based on data from 55 cities in the Yellow River Basin (YRB) from 2011 to 2021, this study constructs an evaluation index system of DF and SED and measures their level, respectively. The proposed CCD model is then used to measure the CCD between the two systems. In addition, kernel density estimation, Markov chain, σ-convergence, β-convergence, and the quadratic assignment procedure (QAP) method are used to study the spatial pattern, distribution dynamic evolution trend, convergence, and influencing factors of the regional differences in the CCD. The results show that: (1) From 2011 to 2021, the CCD level showed a stable upward trend and regional heterogeneity, and the time stage characteristics were more obvious. (2) The center position and change interval of the overall distribution curve of the kernel density estimation gradually shifted to the right. The Markov transfer probability matrix shows that the CCD is more stable among different levels, indicating a phenomenon of "club convergence". (3) A convergence analysis shows that there are significant σ-convergence, absolute β-convergence, and conditional β-convergence. (4) The QAP regression shows that factors such as the regional differences in GDP per capita have a significant impact on the regional differences in the CCD.
