This paper presents a survey of Scutellaria orientalis subsp. pinnatifida in Bosnia and Herzegovina and includes distribution data and a map of localities in Bosnia and Herzegovina based on a revision of herbarium specimens from SARA, literature data and in-field observations. After 40 years, the occurrence of Scutellaria orientalis subsp. pinnatifida in Bosnia and Herzegovina is confirmed and its distribution is extended to a new locality. The paper presents a short morphological description and photographs of the taxon. Besides its precise distribution in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the paper gives information about distribution of this taxon in other Balkan countries and Romania. Given the present occurrence in the area, the taxon should be considered as Critically Endangered (CR) in the updated version of the Red List of the Federation of B&H. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The rough-fruit amaranth Amaranthus tuberculatus was discovered in September 2019 during fieldwork in the vicinity of Tuzla city (northeastern Bosnia). A. tuberculatus is native to North America but has been introduced in some areas beyond its natural range. This is the first record of this species for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Balkans. The updated checklist of the bryophyte flora of Albania (SE Europe), with the addition of eighteen new records (and several regional ones) presented here, comprises 583 taxa (species, subspecies, varieties) representing 212 genera and 96 families. The main list includes tabular distributional data by region. Reports after 1950 are differentiated from the earlier ones. The list is organized taxonomically (hornworts, liverworts and mosses) and in alphabetical order within each division. Updated synonymy and a systematic synopsis are presented at the end. Fourteen new taxa are reported as new to Albania: 60 at the regional level and 18 confirmations of pre-1950 records. Centaurea vandasii and C. wettsteinii (Asteraceae), two rare species in the Balkan Peninsula, are reported and illustrated. Centaurea vandasii belongs to C. sect. Phalolepis and is a south Balkan endemic only known from the Rhodopi mountains in Bulgaria and Mt Belasica in North Macedonia. It is now reported for the first time from Greece. Centaurea wettsteinii belongs to C. sect. Acrolophus and has been found only twice worldwide, both times on Mt Pinovo in north central Greece. It is now reported from Mt Tzena, Greece. Spontaneous hybrids of two Doronicum species, D. hungaricum and D. orientale, were found in a garden after the first year of their common cultivation. This hybrid has already been found in South Hungary and has been described as D. ×sopianae. The morphological characters of the hybrid with their parents were compared. Because both parental species occur in many Balkan countries, it was assumed that the hybrid is probably overlooked at localities, where both species co-occur. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Didymella curtisii is recorded on dry leaves of Pancratium maritimum in the coastal regions of the Southern Black Sea and Chalkidiki Peninsula.
